THIS MORNING IT WAS MEANT TO RAIN FROM ABOUT 11AM TO GONE NOON SO I CANCELLED AN OUTING I HAD ORGANISED FOR 9 PEOPLE - IT IS NOT RAINING.

This is a major downgrade. Dark, dingy and hard to navigate.
I am looking at alternatives.

The App doesn' work and highly inaccurate and only shows the weather as its happening

What's happend to this app it's really bad dosent work properly I live up north but I'm getting weather report for London it dosent make sense it worked fine before the terrible update I don't need to know what London's forecast is I would like to know what cumbria s forecast is sort it out 😡

Liked previous app this ‘improvement’ is terrible. They charged me to keep using long range forecast and then deleted it and said charge was for removing adverts. Scammed as well as receiving a hard to navigate App If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it

There was nothing wrong with the original app. The live map is not useful anymore. Lots of information not required.

The widget has no transparency and is a massive obstruction with a black block taking up most of the background on your phone. No longer have the 1x5 size. Saved locations got deleted. The update also doesn't track my location properly like the previous update. Tracks to a town 3 miles away now, the older app tracked with 100% accuracy. I've reverted back to the old app version 2.47.2 using the APKMirror.

You didn't refresh anything, you downgraded everything and made the entire app non-user friendly.

What has happened to this app, it's rubbish, 4 weekends on the trot now ive not gone mountain biking with my daughter as it said heavy rain from early morning, then its not rained until late afternoon on evening time .
The layout is rubbish and the forecasts for rain is horrendous

16th & 20 January, reviews. I like hundreds and hundreds of other excellent reviewers have attempted and taken up their time to explain to the Met office their updated App. Is not, has not,been improved ,to return a service important on a daily use, to many many folk, and not just for a shopping day
At least we know its raining!!

As of writing this, for the past 1-2 weeks, the Met Office predictions I've looked have been borderline wrong. Any hint of accuracy prior has only eroded away.

I cannot even trust this godawful service to give a reasonable estimate as to whether or not it will rain or blow on any closely upcoming day.
It seems their trash-tier predictions of "18-22 mph" winds translates to howling 35-40 mph sh!tstorms that rage all day.

If only the people behind the Met Office spent their money on improving the technology they use to improve the scope of their predictions. Instead, they've flushed it away on that abominable, user-unfriendly dogawful website UI that nobody asked for nor wants to use.

Absolutely terrible app now. Hard to navigate, everything is the wrong place. Please change it back

I find this app very annoying, it will not use my location and I find it difficult to use, it was on my tablet and phone but I have now uninstall it from both,now using another app until you sort your app out.

Hilarious. They have a long range forecast. They cannot even forecast today’s weather. Totally useless. Just look at the 1 star reviews. Says it all

The new app is abysmal. As an avid weather watcher I'm very disappointed. I have fedback to the Met Office but didn't even get a response. I was always ttrusting and appreciative of the maps, long range details, presure levels and weather systems. That straight forward usability has gone. As for vision and neurodiverse consideration the Met Office decision processes have failed.

The new website is a disaster. Black background white font , trendy but obscure to read. Dark sea , unreal. No iso bar map , most important part of understanding weather movement. How could the get it so wrong I wonder?

What on earth was wrong with the old app?
Confusing user interface. More steps to get to the same info, which is less well presented.
Quality of rain maps has been massively downgraded (especially the 6h part). And where is air pressure??
I need that information. BRING BACK THE OLD APP.

They have ruined a perfectly good app. Whoever designed this ought to be sacked. After years of using the old app I am looking for an alternative.

Blimey — what have they done to the Met Office website? It’s been dumbed down into something that’s harder to use, not easier. The old site put everything in one place: you could scroll through hours and days and see everything on a single page. It was quick and easy to digest everything you needed, now it feels child like, cluttered, more confusing, and genuinely harder to read.
Just delete it - its really not that hard!

Hate it with a vengeance.
I used to rely on it for destination options for time away and for simple timetabling like walking the dog. Why destroy a reliable, easy to use tool. Really disappointed.
