Absolutely awful ‘upgrade’ to app. Just repeating what lots of people have already said. You can only look at one location at once and my ‘home’ location is several miles from where I live. Also difficult to read/interpret information. What were they thinking?!?

New app appalling. Too busy. Colours not good for visually impaired. No option of retaining old app .
Please give an option of retaining old app which for me works much better.

Complete rubbish iv used met Office app for years, it was easy to use was able to save all my favourite places, now it a completey backwards move a 10 years old could have mead a better job, have now uninstalled it and regretfully using BBC app.

The old app was excellent the new app absolute rubbish, I can't help feeling the Met office wants to get out of weather forecasting.

PLEASE go back to the old design, this is not user friendly! Dark, messy, hard to find the info I need.

Terrible! Changes to the app make it difficult to read on a phone. Always used in preference to the BBC Weather app but now met Office is worse than the BBC. Please change it.

The previous incarnation of the app had all of the essential data in one view - including the ‘feels like’ temperature and wind speed gusts and more importantly for my area, the tide times. Now, I have to visit multiple screens to gather the information which at best is hidden behind some other menu item. Very disappointed and I won’t be using it anymore until they see sense with what people need without wading through countless hidden options.

Utterly awful upgrade. You can’t choose your favourite location, it geolocates you to a location 5 miles and 2 significant hills/valleys away where the weather is often different, it’s hard to find the info you actually want, and all so pointless.

Like so many commenting here, if I can’t reinstall the old version, I’ll be changing to another app.

How much did they spend on this joke of an upgrade, I wonder?

I used the old app daily and am really frustrated to see this version. It’s hard to read due to dark background and I have lost my saved favourites. Having tried it I’m ditching it and moving to the BBC - what were they thinking?

My first and ever submission to this site. So that says a lot! If you take note of this Met Office. Refresh to the old app, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it…..the new app is diabolical.

How can an organisation get something so wrong. This supposed upgrade of the app is embarrassing. Its an awful design with less data visible at a glance, a dreadful use of colour contrast and it seems to imply users are three year olds. The met office needs to give users a choice of app style or dismiss their developers.

Agree with all other reviews. This new one is also less accurate and places you several miles from where you actually are. The old one (and all the others) are and were spot one. Why?

Absolutely hate the new app, very dull. Had multiple areas on before now can only have one & then have to search for another. Bring the old one back it was so much better.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE give us the old version back. This new one is just appalling. So difficult to see the information, whereas the old one told you everything you needed to know in a quick glance.

Just had the app updated. New version is horrible. Nearly impossible to read information as the cluttered background keeps changing making it very confusing. What we need is a plain background with easy to read information which is how it used to be. I've installed an old version and disabled updates for the app just in case the switch back option disappears.

I've used the MetOffice app for many years and it was my go to site. The new version could have been introduced as an alternative and see if it was popular before replacing the old version. I'm sure the developers think it looks funky, but I don't. I will give it a go, but believe I will use XC weather or similar.

Terrible update. Blue numbers on dark background, difficult to read. It no longer provides user friendly information. WHY have they done this?

If I could give it zero stars I would, absolutely destroyed what was the best weather site on the net. Bye bye met office

How about enshitifying there favourite weather app?..

The new UI is so bad, I didnt uninstall it and install the old version.
I uninstalled it and put the BBC weather app back on out of protest!!!
