I am very claustrophobic. From the moment of arrival I was put completely at ease. Superb experience for me.

I recommend it to everyone, especially those with claustrophobia or paralyzing anxiety.

My Radiologist was simply excellent! I have a major problem with confined spaces, I often get bad panic attack's, I was made at ease, everything was explained in plain language, it wasn’t rushed, the MRI was done in short segments of 3 minutes or so, the Radiologist talked to me all the time, I felt safe and comfortable with the reassurance I received, Excellent.

I found the online booking process a bit confusing
I arrived early and was offered a drink, staff very friendly, I had BEVERLY radiographer she was very friendly and very considerate and informative made sure you understood what was happening and how long it would take you can watch a film I watched only fools and horses but I never had my glasses and because of noise it was subtitles 🤣🤣🤣 but all in all a quick and easy MRI thank you to all the staff we arrived home

Would recommend if you don’t like the tunnel or are claustrophobic like me.

Had an open mri, due to claustrophobia. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the radiographer explained the process thoroughly

Kelly dealt with my whole booking process. She was great, caring, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and she did everything she said she would do including emailing me a link to the scans. The mri machine was not claustrophobic at all, open and upright and all the staff were caring and friendly. Perfect experience. Kelly was amazing, a great asset to Medserena Manchester.

Medserena provided an excellent and professional service for my upright MRI.
As I am claustrophobic, this was a fantastic scanner for me. The scanner was open at the front and I found the MRI very easy and comfortable. The report was sent through quickly to my GP with a copy also sent to me.

From the moment I arrived the reception was very nice and welcoming,the person doing my scan told me everything what was going to happen and everything they could do to make things easier for me.The whole time I was in the machine they spoke to me all the way till end, I was so surprised how easy they made me feel about the whole experience brilliant work such nice place.

All very helpful, I was not happy with the initial positioning of the seat so they changed everything to make the procedure comfortable and I could proceed with the MRI scan.

Excellent service

From the moment I arrived, which was early because I was worried about missing my appointment, I was made to feel welcome. I travel prepared, but the moment I arrived I was offered water or a cup of tea. I mentioned I’d brought my own water, so that was fine. Reception staff regularly checked up on me and were extremely helpful throughout the entire process.

The radiographer came out and walked me through to the changing room, clearly explaining what I couldn’t have on me during the scan. Once I’d finished changing, I was assisted through to the scanner and given clear instructions by the radiographer as to what to expect. Despite being in a lot of pain, the radiographer was extremely supportive in helping me get through the scan and ensuring the images were properly collected.

After the scan, I was supported back to the changing room and told I could take as much time as I needed to get myself ready to leave. Back in the waiting room, I was made comfortable while staff sorted out the billing, and I was told to take my time while waiting for my transport to arrive.

My appointment was on the 14th of July 2026, and I want to state that all of the staff on duty that day were absolutely excellent and supportive, and are a credit to the company.

All in all, this was a really positive experience and I would certainly use the service again. Should I need another scan, I would recommend Medserena to anybody who needs to have an MRI.

I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

I attended for a private MRI scan of my right knee on 7 July 2026. During the scan, the device positioned over my knee repeatedly slipped out of place, which immediately made me question whether the examination was being performed correctly. I was also left lying in an awkward position despite staff being aware that I have pre-existing spinal injuries and ongoing knee problems. I was in considerable discomfort throughout the procedure and was simply told, "not much longer," rather than my concerns being addressed.

When I received my MRI images, I was disappointed by their quality. My physiotherapy practitioner also struggled to interpret the images because of their poor quality.

I was equally disappointed with the radiology report. Having previously undergone a private MRI at another hospital, I expected a detailed clinical report explaining the findings and how they related to my symptoms. Instead, the report I received was brief and lacked the level of clinical detail I would expect from a private healthcare provider. It also appeared to omit discussion of findings that had been raised on previous imaging.

When patients pay significant amounts for private diagnostic scans, they expect a professional service, high-quality imaging and a comprehensive clinical report. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

I also attempted to raise my concerns directly with the company's management but did not receive a satisfactory response, leaving me feeling that legitimate questions about the quality of the service were not welcomed.

For these reasons, I cannot recommend this service based on my personal experience.

Lady Radiographer wasn't very friendly, rather abrupt and didn't explain anything. I felt rushed. Adam, on the other hand was lovely and chatty after the scan was finished.

Amazing experience always anxious and super scared for the first time I was able to complete a MRI.

My experience with Medserena was excellent....very friendly and supportive. The receptionist was very helpful and radiographer was very reassuring as I was very nervous...I would highly recommend this company if you are Claustrophobic in any way.

A totally stressless experience. Lovely facility with friendly professional knowledgeable staff. Everything explained in advance and scan carried out quickly with no waiting. A closed MRI is not an option for me, so this was wonderful. Thanks to everyone there.
