Potential customer information mining
I recently created a transfer to Pakistan they asked for passport and proof of address which I provided after which I received email with a list of documents such as my passport from Pakistan, why I am sending money and any receipts to prove that my sending money is legitimate, and most ridiculous thing was they asked for my bank statements, my transaction statements, my salary slips and statemetns confirming my current bank account balance. I feel this company is mining consumer information and might end up in some financial fraud. I refused to provide information and demanded an immediate refund of my money. So guys, don't be tempted by a few dollar difference, if it smells fishy, it is fishy.

Very bad service too much documents…
Very bad service too much documents required. My transaction still in pending even I already provide all the documents. Please please stay away from master remit. Customer service also not helpful...I'll never recommend to anyone. Nearly 48 hrs passed still my transaction is on hold.

I created my account 27th Nov and did…
I created my account 27th Nov and did my first transaction on 28th. This is 30th November and account is still under review as I decline to provide my bank statement and Payslip to give a proof of source of income, proof of address and Overseas ID as I was sending into my personal account for $500 transaction. Ridiculous isn't it? I requested to cancell and refund. Now it will take 5 business days for a refund with .5 to 1% fee deduction. I still need to provide proof of address and receiving country's valid ID to get my money back. All other providers just ask for ID verification and that is all. MASTERREMIT big no no from my experience.

Pathetic service
Pathetic service. I completed a transaction and, when it didn’t show up the next day, I called customer service. They told me my ID wasn’t verified, so I uploaded the required documents. A few hours later, I received an email listing five more requirements—additional ID, beneficiary ID, pay slips, and other unnecessary documents. The customer service is terrible. I’m never using this service again.

What should’ve been a simple money transfer turned into a nightmare. My transfer was placed on hold, and they asked for unnecessary documents like proof of relationship, payslips, and even bank statements, just to send money to a family member! I’ve never experienced anything like this with other transfer services.
We’ve already asked for a refund and are now just hoping there won’t be more issues. The process has been stressful, invasive, and completely unreasonable. Definitely would not recommend using MasterRemit.

Worst customer service and account…
Worst customer service and account team. They are holding my transfer for last 5 days, accounts review team asked for documents and information which were being provided and since then silence. No one is responding and answering to emails. They are holding my funds for no reason neither it was a big transfer or first transfer. Don’t use this service if you need an urgent transfer.

MasterRemit is my remittance company of choice. My transactions are delivered instantly when i use debit card and normally within few hours when done via bank transfer.

Slow but does the job
I created a new account last week and transferred 500 AUD to india, first transaction took almost 12 hours, I am guessing they are doing manually.
Second transaction took 1 hour and third one took 5 minutes.
Used this app as it was giving promotional rates for first three transactions to India.
App is not very user friendly compared to other remit service providers, however does the job.
For first transaction, I called their helpdesk as well and requested for call back and got a call back in 5 minutes. helpdesk guys need more training in terms of how to talk to customers, there were no greetings when they started the call and also while finishing...

Refund takes longer
my funds are still not refunded. It's been a month, but no amount reflected on my bank. Their customer service as well is not reliable, and no one take any action of this. They are delayed in replying to the messages.

Too frustrating to join
MasterRemit's requirements are absurdly complex for new users and not worth the trouble. I wanted to send money, my bank to their bank, to my sister-in-law.
* describe your relationship with the recipient
* proof of relationship (eg. marriage certificate, passport stamps, flight details, accommodation receipts, confirming travels to the countries you are sending to among others)
* Please confirm the reason for sending your transactions to your beneficiary including specific information such as rent payments, assisting family with general expenses, payments for goods/services, business related transactions, etc. Please attach all supporting documents like receipts, invoices etc.
* Source of funds - Please confirm your current occupation and provide details on how you are funding your MasterRemit transactions, by providing at least one of the following:
• Copy of your most recent one month payslip, or
• Copy of your bank statement or bank transaction activity addressed to you, which shows the MasterRemit transactions paid from your bank account, held under your name, and your account balance.
* Please clarify on how much you intend to send per month
* Proof of Identity – Please provide us with a photographic proof of your identity and proof of address.
Some of these are reasonable, but how do I prove the recipient is my sister-in-law? I only send money occasionally, not every month, so how can I give a per-month amount?
Not worth the hassle.
* I forgot to add that when my money was eventually refunded, Master Remit deducted $10.70 as a "fee". Thanks for nothing.
