Had a great experience from order through sleeping. Company communicated while mattress was being made and being delivered. Been sleeping on the mattress for three weeks so far, and it is great. Much better mattress and experience than going to the shop.

When my wife and I decided to get a new mattress I insisted I didn't really care what we looked in to. I knew my father's mattress had been amazing but wrote off that level of comfort for us when he told us it was $3500+ . To be honest, as many beds as I had slept on in my life I didn't really feel that they were all that dramatically different. A bed was a bed. I wrote it off to me not being a picky sleeper.

Irritated with my lack of opinion on the subject, and wanting to avoid my habit of obsessive study when asked to make new purchases, my wife took it upon herself to schedule some visits to local furniture stores. After a few trips to mattress stores we had made relatively little progress. The sales people didn't know what they were talking about, and the conversation focused almost entirely on pricing, not comfort.

All the beds we liked were $2500+ just for the mattress and didn't seem to be real marked improvements over our current setup. After getting fed up with a lack of good selection and not feeling very comfortable with the "deals" they were cutting us, we decided on two things.
1: that we wanted a hybrid mattress (they had felt the best to us in stores) and
2: that I would be indulged in my usual obsessive research to solve this bedding dilemma.

Thus began two-and-a-half weeks of intensive research and study. I learned more than I needed to know about the difference between spring layouts, mattress materials, latex density certifications, manufacturer trends, sleep positions, and bedding materials.

In the end, I was convinced of a few things: one should never buy from a big name-brand company, one should buy a firmness depending on your weight and sleep position, one should buy a mattress protector, and you should always ensure the materials in the mattress have their specifications and origins listed. We decided on Luma Sleep due to their specialty in hybrid systems and high-quality Talalay Latex. I spoke with their staff twice and was surprised when they remembered me on my second call. They were friendly and professional, even having the courage and confidence in their product to suggest that the firmness I was asking for might not be the best for my sleep position. After speaking with them we decided on the Plush+ topper and soft mattress. The total for the King-size mattress, topper, pillows, and mattress protector was just over $1,700 (less than half of some of the hybrids we looked at and a full 30% less than most mattresses we saw in store).

There was a few days of delay (beyond what they originally quoted us) before the bed was shipped out. However, in their defense, it was somewhat of a custom order and the bed had to be assembled from scratch. After about a week of delays the package shipped and was on our doorstep shortly after that. When the bed arrived and we removed it from its vacuum-sealed packaging, I was pleased just looking at it. The design and construction is pretty even by itself. After laying in it for the first time I was hooked.

I have never felt strongly about a bed before this one, but our mattress from Luma Sleep has taken my computer's place for the most cherished thing I own. For a full month after we first bought it, my wife and I would message each other mid-day about how excited we were to get home and just lie down. On vacations now we spend our time in bed lamenting that we can't bring our mattress with us. Only the awkwardness of having to explain myself to the TSA has stopped me from carrying the massive pillows everywhere I travel.

The mattress has ruined sleeping for us. I know that every bed I lay on for the rest of my life will be compared to this one and be found wanting. I even made a special trip to visit my father so I could compare his bed to our new one. Needless to say, there was no comparison and I wondered what I had ever seen in his $3500+ mattress.

I could really go on for hours about this mattress and the impact its had on our snoring, pains, sleeping habits, etc. However, I'll spare you that and instead just say that I recommend Luma Mattresses in a manner bordering on fanatical.

tl;dr
We've had the mattress about 5 months now and have loved every second of it. There were some issues with shipping delays in the beginning, but I forgave those as the mattress had been custom built for us with a different spring configuration requested. I always encourage that you do your own research for big purchases. Find out what you want/need and make informed decisions from there. But I know that for me, I cannot imagine having made a better choice.

I was a little pessimistic when a fairly small box containing my king sized mattress was delivered to my front door! Although after removing the shipping wrap, it came to life to my amazement! I love my mattress and I will never separate from it!

I highly recommend the hybrid sleep system and purchasing from this company. I purchased the latex hybrid system in a king, and my husband and I are very happy with our purchase. Out of the gate, we went with the medium-firm, as our old traditional mattress had been a firm.

I'll be honest, it took a while to get this one right. We weren't initially thrilled with the mattress system, but wanted to give it a fair shot. This hybrid mattress has a very unique feel that is quite different from anything else out there. By the end of the first 30 days, we knew the configuration we ordered wasn't right for us. I called the company and had several conversations with Stefano, who offered suggestions to help us figure out why we weren't finding it comfortable. He followed up with us after we tried each suggestion. In the end, we wound up exchanging our comfort layer and slept on the new one for another 30 days, deciding to return the original medium-firm.

Thanks to Stefano's help, we now have the Goldilocks "just right" feeling. The original comfort layer was promptly picked up for return in the provided shipping box, very simple process. I simply cannot say enough good things about the customer service we received from Luma Sleep. It totally blew me away. Today it seems so rare to find a company that truly cares about their customers, wants to make things right even if the issue is not the company's fault, and where a real, live person answers the phone rather than an endless frustrating computerized phone tree.

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the pillows? No more neck pain! I plan to order additional pillows. Sorry, I know this has been a lot to read. Can you tell I am a really, really satisfied customer? I would definitely recommend Luma Sleep to anyone interested in a latex or latex hybrid mattress.

The mattress is great! The delivery process and communication was not.

We bought the king sized medium-firm Luma Mattress. I contacted customer support before placing my order and they were very helpful and friendly. When the mattress arrived the cardboard box was falling apart. The box was too big and it was opened on one end from the weight of the mattress. The paperwork was smashed and crumpled. Once we got the heavy mattress unwrapped it was tough to position. I thought I was going to break it. The mattress has no wrap or cushioning on the sides. It feels like it lacks structure and rigidity. The mattress cover is also zippered on and generic. I was hoping for a little better quality. When laying on the mattress it has great support and is comfortable. I like the latex foam but it could use another layer of foam or use thicker latex. I am 210 lbs and 6'2" tall which is not uncommon. The latex hybrid mattress with the extra top comfort layer may help, but the price really goes up for the extra layer. Overall and for the price I like the mattress and will continue to try it out. My wife's more skeptical so we'll see what we decide together.

We've had our hybrid since April. It is simply wonderful. One of the best purchases in life, period. We went with the Plush+, and glad we did. It feels perfect for us. We had a Comfortaire mattress for just over 20 years that served us very well.
We thought the transition to Luma would take time, but it's been great from night #1.
The biggest surprise of all is how great the free pillows are. Never would have guessed that one. They might be the best pillows we've ever had.
We highly recommend this company and product. Their customer service was spot on and gave us the confidence to order from them. Now that we've had their product for several months, we can publish this review and hopefully provide others with some piece of mind.

After ten weeks I really love this mattress. Mine is the medium firm Luma mattress, the base model, queen size. It works exactly as promised, with the individually-encased coils giving soft local compliance for sleeping on my side and the overall firmness holding great for sleeping on my back or stomach. My sleep became more restful.

I bought the all-latex medium-firm king-sized mattress and have had it for a month now. Aside from some minor issues with pressure points, which I hope I can easily resolve, I would say that this is an incredible bed. Well worth the price I paid for it, and soooo comfortable to sleep on. The company has been a pleasure to deal with, too: friendly, professional, and transparent. Just a great all-around experience thus far, so I therefore highly recommend them!

My wife and I had put off the purchasing of a new mattress for a long time, even though it was long overdue. We didn't want to deal with a mattress salesman and we knew that retail prices for mattresses in stores were highly inflated. We researched online a bit and felt that of the new brands we found the options were a bit overly simplistic and geared more towards an entry level price point.

Fast forward to this Fall and my wife ended up with a severely herniated disk in her lower back. We had to do something about the mattress and luckily heard about Luma Sleep from a friend. We could not be happier with our choice (my wife especially). This mattress is a joy to sleep on. It's extremely well constructed and is similar in appearance and comfort to a Tempurpedic, but at a much better value. The two-piece system is a great idea and works perfectly. I like the idea that if we want to replace or switch out the comfort layer at any point for one with a different level of firmness that we can. That's really a much better alternative to buying an entirely new mattress (I hate the idea of throwing out an entire mattress every 10 years or so). Bottom line. You will not go wrong with this mattress!

I have had my all latex mattress for 2 months
And my wife and I love it. We also love the latex pillows. The company and delivery were very easy to work with. Installed new and hauled away old mattress. would definitely recommend and repurchase

I ordered a plush level latex hybrid at the end of April 2018,we received it mid May.The unboxing process was fairly straightforward and the quality of materials seem fine . However,we immediately felt the comfort layer was not a plush but more a medium.We thought we would just give it a few weeks to truly get a feel for the bed.We are side sleeper so we need a little sink but also support.After a month we found the mattress to be really hard and were noticing hip and lower back pain on waking.I contacted luma sleep and they suggested maybe the wrong comfort level was sent from the factory.Quality control?
They sent three samples of latex plush,medium and firm.We knew right away that we had the medium firm and not plush.I contacted luma through their website.They did let me know they would be in touch on the new topper.My gripe with this company is their communication.A week after the initial order I had to contact them to ask if my bed had shipped,30 days after we had the bed I had to contact them about our comfort layer.Another 5 days of waiting to hear from them before reached out to see when I would receive my new comfort layer.I would think some simple form emails during the initial order process and a simple "how do you like your mattress" would be simple enough.The mattress could also use some sort extra edge support.I hope I can update this review once I have the correct comfort level

Truly great mattress. We purchased the hybrid with the coil base and latex topper in medium firm. Couldn't be happier. Set up was a breeze. This replaced a one year old Loom and Leaf memory foam mattress that was dreadful. The Luma bed sleeps cool and is so comfortable. Online chat before purchase was helpful and there was no pressure to buy. Simply great experience on all fronts.

I've never had a better night's sleep for as long as I can remember. The pillows are exceptional the quality of the mattress is exceptional and I just love my luma mattress. I've slept on high quality mattresses, your Tempur-Pedic and Luma is the best ever.

So very happy I found Luma! It's been one month since I received my new mattress, and I have absolutely no complains! It's very comfortable, provides great support, has a nice bounce to it, does not sleep hot. Customer service and return policy are just excellent. Love it!

Although the mattress we bought was not a good fit for me and my wife, Steve was most gracious in offering a full refund. I totally recommend this company. Just make sure you check out if latex is for you.

I purchased a mattress in December but in February decided it was the wrong one for my back. I called to discuss a replacement and the company went above and beyond to help me. Even the president of the company called to help me. I couldn't be happier with this company and the customer service. I didn't think customer service like this still existed.

Our extra firm topper suits us perfectly, and the quality of Luma Sleep products and service is excellent -- highly recommend.
