EXCEPTIONAL KIND AND ATTENTIVE SERVICE
After bringing two hats to the store for restoration, the store provided me with exceptional kind and attentive service, and the hats were restored beautifully.

Excellent quality of hat, and excellent customer service. Delivery (Courier) was delayed for quite a long time, but Customer Service (Katrina) helped move this along. It's always helpful and welcome when someone takes time out to deal with an issue properly.
I ordered two different hats this week from them.
The Christmas edition Santa hat is indulgent and fabulous.
I ordered a second , different hat, later then realised I had ordered the wrong colour.
I emailed the next day, hoping to catch them before it was sent and sure enough, excellent service, swift reply and confirmation that my preferred colour is now being sent.
They are the best for various reasons and I have seen first hand both quality and excellent service.
A regular hat wearer, I bought a Prague fedora at the turn of the year in Lock & Co's sale. Though the original price was outside my budget the sale price was within reach. I had a problem initially, with the size recommended and returned it for re-sizing, dealing with Brendan, who was really helpful. When I got the hat back it fitted perfectly, I'm delighted with its appearance and and quality. I'm now a frequent visitor to their website.
I am very fortunate to own an antique Lock & Co silk top hat, which comes out occasionally for weddings and the races. The hat is close to 100 years old, and was in need of a thorough restoration. Lock & Co's Master Hatter Jayesh, and his team, did a superb job of transforming an old, well-worn and delicate hat into a piece that feels brand new. The hat has been thoroughly cleaned, polished, re-lined, re-trimmed and – most importantly – fitted to my head, so it now sits properly without slipping down. If you do happen to own an antique hat, this is the place to have it restored.

I realise not everyone owns a top hat — but if you do, and it needs a little TLC, you couldn’t be in better hands. Expert care and truly charming staff. Highly recommended!
I purchased a Coke City hat on 14th May from Locks in their beautiful shop on St James's Street.
I was served by Mr Freddie Dean who spent a great deal of time on helping me to select a Coke Hat then making sure the hat fitted correctly. Nothing was too much trouble and went above and beyond for a very fussy customer.
The quality of both my new hat and the one on one service I received was First class and made me feel like a VIP.

My wife wanted a black beret-type hat that could be worn pulled well down over her hair. Looking at what was available online, I identified berets from two companies which looked suitable, and because she wanted the beret to wear at an upcoming occasion, ordered one from each. The beret from the "other company" cost £25.00, plus £3.99 p&p, and arrived in a substantial paper envelope within a couple of days. That from Lock&Co cost more than double that - plus a blistering £15.00 p&p - and took a week to arrive in a small flat cardboard box (after I had telephoned the company to enquire about its whereabouts). Having decided to return both (very similar) berets, as neither suited being worn as my wife had in mind, I dropped the "other company's" beret off at our Post Office for a free return - but was then faced with paying A FURTHER £15.00 to return the Lock&Co beret. I telephoned Lock&Co to tell them what I thought of this, and received sympathy and the immediate offer of a free return, plus free delivery for a future order...
I make no judgement on the quality of Lock&Co's products, and I can understand them charging £15.00 each way if the item is one of their 'London Top Hats' costing £995 (and presumably wrapped in silk within an enormous gold-plated hat box stuffed with virgin vicuna wool), but demanding the same money for something weighing a few ounces in a sheet of tissue paper in a small flat cardboard box (that takes a week to arrive) is daylight robbery! Their very sympathetic customer service rep succeeded in adding a couple of stars to what would otherwise have been a one-star rating.
Very, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff, took time to make sure I had the right, style and model of hat, exceptional quality, many thanks!
Bought a deerstalker by mail and the service is excellent. Very promptly fulfilled the order and the hat is well packed. I wanted to get a beaver felt fedora but decided to get the deerstalker to test out their sizing and am glad that I did.
There are three things I love about Britain: (1) Shakespeare; (2) The Economist magazine; and last but not least: (3) Lock & Co. As soon as I arrived in London to visit my daughter, she told me: "Dad, you've got to see this place!" And, as soon as I did, I fell in love with it, located on historic St James Street, and offering the most wonderful, classy hats in the world. Since that first visit I have purchased 7 of their wonderful caps & hats and (now that I'm substantially bald and grey too) love to cover up my head with Lock & Co's delights. Although they are a bit on the expensive side, they are worth every penny in joy and are a lot cheaper than wearing a wig...and a lot more stylish too!!
I have also found their customer service to be second to none when ordering merchandise over the internet from our home in the USA.
Thank you, Lock & Co, for keeping the tradition of wearing caps & hats alive & well in our modern world :):)
Most traditional shop and a real experience. Very kind staff, for adults and children as well! Especially the consultation and professional advices by the Masterhatter alone had been an experience of its own.
Brought all hats for past 30 years from Locks and never had a single problem.
Got a muirfield cap to replace my old one which is now too small.
In first wash the new one has fallen apart.
If Locks quality has dropped so much a hat falls apart then it's time to buy my hats elsewhere.
After many weeks they have not bothered to reply to my emails regarding cap.
Their hats are not made in UK.
Their mass produced outside UK and shipped to hatters around the world for them to fit their own labels.
Good quality and range of hats and caps at various sizes to fit everyone, i have 3 of their hats (baseball cap, panama hat, flat cap) 2 were spot on the third sizing was an issue, if standard hats and caps don't fit i would recommend this company, or you may just want a higher quality hat or something for a special event than from the high street, i visited the shop once which gave me the correct size to order in future though not correct for the panama hat i ordered. Happy shopping ;0)
Lock Hatters were extremely polite and helpful.
It took them a while to deal with a return, they phoned me, apologised and offered me the choice of a refund or replacement. I was very pleased with the customer service.
