Lots of issues with support and getting help:
I've been trying to get help with a ticket transfer for 5 days straight and have not received any response despite sending multiple follow ups. I believe there's a bug on their platform and there is no one to reach out to, the AI bot either freezes or tries to connect me to people and then there's no response.
I would not recommend buying tickets on this platform if you can't get any proper assistance when something goes wrong with your order.
--- Revision post help from the platform
Their support system could be better and they should probably hire more people as it can take a few days to get a response, but overall the platform looks good and their ticketing system has been responsive: I bought a membership today on their platform for Bike NYC and everything synchronized properly on my account

Don't buy the 'refundable' bookings, they are a scam.
There is a a reasonable expectation of what 'refundable' means in this context. Established through the countless other booking services through which by paying extra, you are able to then cancel hassle-free should something out of your control make attending no longer possible. Let's Do This do not adhere to this reasonable and general understanding. Within the terms and conditions, they state that whilst it is not an insurance product in name, functionally, it behaves the same way, in that requires things like doctors notes, death certificates, police certificates etc. in order to claim.
They make it seem very easy and hassle-free when they sell it to you, it is in fact nothing of the sort.
How they sell this is clearly and obviously misleading. They clearly and obviously know this. Very clear and deliberate dark pattern manipulation at play. They know what they are doing.
Anyone who complains about this, they of course give some generic response about 'Protect Group' being a third party supplier and its in the terms and conditions. Nothing you can do if you have fallen for this scam, so just please, anyone reading this DON'T DO IT.
If you can at all avoid it, use other platforms. This company is making it very clear what they think of runners and the running community.
Don't give these corporate monsters your hard earned money. Run a local race that isn't trying to only extract value from runners without giving anything back.
Please see below some corpo-speak nonsense about it being in the terms and conditions and 'Protect Group' being a third party etc.

Updated 24/04 following the predictable and inaccurate response from Let’s Do This.
1. Referring to the T&Cs is a deflection. The product is sold on the booking page as a simple “full rapid refund” for common scenarios like injury. In practice, requiring paid medical evidence that significantly erodes the refund makes that claim misleading in effect. Customers shouldn’t have to reconcile headline marketing language with restrictive conditions to understand the true cost and likelihood of claiming. Given the volume of negative feedback on this issue, the problem appears clear.
2. You state: “We’re also unable to see any emails from you.” That is surprising. The booking was made with the same email address as my Trustpilot account, which was provided to you with the review. You then requested further identifying detail to verify the review, which I also provided, again confirming my email address. That same email account has corresponded with your support team three times about this issue between 14 April and 20 April, including with Liam T. So your statement is either the result of poor internal records or a failure to check properly.
At some point, you may want to consider why Let’s Do This sits in the bottom 20% of all companies in its Trustpilot category - 189th out of 230 at the time of writing. While dismal, a fair reflection it seems.
Original review: Refundable entry is in my experience very misleading. I opted for it based on the straightforward wording on the website - “…you are covered for a full rapid refund covering a range of circumstances…”. There is a link off to a very long set of terms and conditions, which I didn’t read in full at the time, and have since understood significantly limit the ability to claim. For injury, you need a doctor’s certificate. In my case this would be £25 for a £40 refund. Nice work, well played.
The practical effect of this is that the cost and effort involved will likely deter many people from actually claiming. The positioning suggests something simple and accessible, but the reality is very different. The ai response to this review will now acknowledge my injury, wish me well, point to refunds being handled by a 3rd party and point me at t’s and c’s on sign up.

I applied for the Great North Run 2026, but when I applied, one minor autofill error meant that the form completed with my partner's email address - who has also applied for the run with that address. There is therefore pure confusion with her having one account covering two entries, and I have heard nothing from the GNR or the charity I am sponsoring. I give this low rating because trying to amend that error has been impossible - no contact number to speak to an actual human being, nor even a useable email address. So I went through the AI chatbot, explained the situation and asked for it to be corrected - and absolutely nothing has happened. I applied in September 2025, it is now 6 months later (and 6 months to the run) and I still have nothing of use for the run. This has seriously impacted on my ability to get a sponsorship page up and running to raise money for the charity I am trying to help, and has significantly soured my interest in the run.

Overall a good experience using Let’s Do This to book our event. The platform was easy to use and the registration process was straightforward.
We had two queries afterwards. For one of them we were referred directly to the organisers, which wasn’t ideal, but the second issue was handled quickly and resolved promptly by their team.
Overall still a positive experience and I’d use the platform again.
Moving house can be stressful but remembering to change your address with everything and everyone it's easy to mis out something. I contacted Lets Do This by email. I got a reply quickly asking a few personal details and my address was updated for all our runs we are entering at once by the customer service person.
Entered the Brighton Marathon and paid extra for a refundable ticket in event of injury. Now unable to get a refund without a formal letter from a doctor confirming the injury! Very poor to charge for refundable tickets then waste doctors time, who charge for letters. Customer service also unhelpful.

Confusing registration process. I was registering for myself, and then suddenly and unexpectedly I was forced to register for my daughter. I had entered that she had a qualifying time by gps, but I was never prompted or required to put in the GPS proof. I was prepared to enter it from Garmin, but ended up finishing and paying for the registration without doing so. I hope someone contacts us, or that I can still provide it. Not sure why they changed it, but I would rate their previous registration system a 5 star.
I have used Let’s Do This for many years to enter events, I haven’t had any issues and found their site easy to book, that was up until now, this time I asked a question on their Ai messaging service, Ai gave me incorrect advise. Not known to me at the time the Ai is a difficult company. Manuel from LDT was helpful and one of the issues was resolved speedily.
Unfortunately, I feel either I’m getting to old for these events and big organisations it’s time for me to leave these larger events behind and support small local events where you can speak directly to organisers and real people without having to jump through Ai hoops.
Having watched Joe Wicks promoting the Mini Virtual London Marathon on Newsround yesterday morning, I have been trying to register my Primary School class for the Virtual London Mini Marathon for 2 days now, to no avail. The link to 'Let's Do This' will not recognise my school's URN. It is a Scottish school, and I wonder if this is the problem. My office manager at school has tried to register a fault, too, but she also hasn't heard anything back. I did also personally try to ask for help from a chatbot on the site, but I haven't had a response since yesterday morning. Needless to say, the children in my class are disappointed.
