The Grange Lodge is a FAB house, it has everything you need. there are walks from the door so no need to drive if you don't want to. You are close enough to walk to shops and bars but not to close to be bothered by them.
The owner phoned on the first day to say that there was going to be work men at the house next door for the rest of the week. The guys working on the house were very friendly and polite always got a good morning from them. Would love to stay here again.

The worst customer services ever! We received a telephone call ar 5pm on the eve of our stay informing us of scaffolding to be et cited, and building work carried out, during our stay! We protested, but received no support. During the stay the building work was noisy, the scaffolding unsightly, our privacy was invaded and the builders used foul language (children with us!) during their work! Sent photographic and video evidence to Lakelovers, requesting some form of compensation. Waited three weeks to be informed there was nothing they could do, but they had ' tried their best'. Will never use this awful company again.

Had a great 2 weeks in this lovely property. The location has views on all sides and there are masses of walking that can be done from the doorstep, we hardly used the car. Chapel Stile is a pretty little village with a well equipped local store and the Wainwright's Inn, both within walking distance.
The property is a well laid out bungalow with good facilities. The garden with it's garden furniture is a great place to have breakfast in the morning and a relaxing drink or two after walking all day - will definitely return to this property.

A superb property right on the banks of Lake Windermere, great for families with loads to do at Brockhole and in Bowness and Ambleside. Very easy to deal with Lakelovers who were in touch by both text and email before and during our stay. Would recommend the property and Lakelovers to anyone.

Excellent customer service - great communication by mobile phone and email both before and after. The property, Garden Hill West was everything we required, a lovely comfortable house with magnificent views of Lake Windermere. Many thanks Lakelovers.

Excellent website which made it very easy to browse different properties for our holiday. Very good communication from initial booking right through to the end of our break. We had a couple of minor maintenance issues which were dealt with promptly and the member of staff I spoke to was extremely professional. I was very happy with my experience of using the company to book my holiday and would be happy to recommend and use them again.

Second time we had booked with Lakelovers. As last time: good service, needs met, repairs made promptly (overnight rain caused a puddle in conservatory... dealt with within hours), beautiful house and facilities.. felt like millionaires for a week... Thank you Lakelovers

Used Lakelovers multiple times and can't fault them, their customer service is excellent, I like the way they send texts to see if everything is ok, I always find their properties to be in excellent condition. I had booked Rooftop Cottage in Bowness, our 2nd stay here, right in the heart of things, bars, restaurants, loved the place. The cottage itself is part of the old school and has the bedrooms downstairs with living room and kitchen being upstairs, this so you can appreciate the wonderful views from the skylight windows. Please use Lakelovers as your agent for booking your next Lake District holiday cottage, they cover all areas, you won't be disappointed.

All was great with the company. The website was well laid out and easy to compare possible properties. I had to contact the company by phone as I realised that the property I'd booked online didn't have wifi. It was all straightforward to change with minimal fuss.
The property itself was everything we needed. Clean comfortable with its own parking and close to the southern fells and to Ambleside itself. The rooms were all large and well equipped. Ensuite bathroom in one room and top of the range bathroom for the other bedroom.

Staff friendly and helpful whenever I've had to contact them, would recommend Lakelovers if you are booking a holiday in the Lake District

Loved the cottage we hired, dog friendly, fantastic views and walks right on the doorstep, nice pub and restaurant just down the lane, Lakelovers were easy to book with on line and kept us informed of every step of the way, we would recommend Lakelovers to anyone.

Lakelovers were a great find on the Internet. There are so many agents for Lake District cottages our experiences have been mixed. However, each time we rented from Lakelovers we found the experience to be excellent.

We would highly recommend them!

The service by Lakelovers is excellent. The property was exactly as described, booking was easy with immediate confirmation. Location and access details were accurate and easy to follow. The property was well presented and instructions inside the property fully met our requirements. We had no need to contact Lakelovers while at the property. There is no O2 mobile signal at the location but the WiFi connection was good and supported streaming of video, tv and radio.
Cunsey Lake House is only 15 minutes from Hawshead and 25 minutes from Ambleside and yet it is very quiet and peaceful with views across Lake Windermere. If going to Ambleside, pick up a parking disc from most shops and restaurants and get 1hr on street free parking.

The home we stayed in for two weeks was quite comfortable, well stocked and very spacious. Since the lounge, dining room and kitchen were upstairs we had gorgeous views. The skylights kept the upstairs rooms well lit and sunny on good days.
Steve Wray found the best house for us and we would recommend both!

The Loft Ambleside

This is the 4th year visiting the Loft we love it here perfect location and home from home the owners have fitted this out to the highest spec and this year they added some personal touches with a welcome hamper and card welcoming us, what a lovely thought. There was also some miniature
Toiletries in bathroom very nice touches.

Our dealing with Lakelovers have always been excellent looking forward to coming back next year and would definitely recommend to friends and family

I always use Lakelovers when visiting the Lake District.
Their website is great and allows for a real feel of the properties they have for rent.
Booking is easy as are the key collecting/arrival arrangements.
Deposits are refunded promptly and the customer service is faultless.

6 of us (all adults)stayed in this beautiful cottage in Ambleside for a week in April 2016. The facilities provided are fantastic and it is decorated to a very high standard. There is plenty of room for everyone with two sitting rooms and a fantastic kitchen. The dining table is huge and a great place for family meals and games. Having the 2 ensuites and family bathroom meant there was also no queuing in the mornings to get ready. The cottage is really well located to Ambleside and also some great walks straight from the door. We found Lakelovers to be very organised and everything ran very smoothly. We would definitely use again and be back to Stones Throw cottage in the future.

Jaspers Retreat is one of the best properties we’ve stayed at. Has everything and more. Proximity to fell walks, shops and lake. The house is very comfortable. Like home from home. View of Lake Windermere, stylish and clean. Plus the dog loved the garden and sunbathing on the balcony. Will be staying here again. Lakelovers has always given great service and will be using them for years to come.

I booked a Cottage at Ings Mill Park via Lakelovers, booking was simple on the internet, the cottage was just what I wanted with my two little dogs, central for days out to all the lakes, the owner and staff were very friendly and the site was very clean & tidy, Lakelovers kept in contact with me via email and text throughout the holiday and offered help if I needed it, the cottage was clean and tidy and we had everything we needed, with a babbling river at the front of the cottage and a pub brewery and restaurant at the bottom of the lane, what more could I ask for.

lakelovers always rented first class properties but this year was an exception it was dirty and poor
but having complained to lakelovers thats when we saw a different side to them they just didn't want to know
customer service is appalling
