I am writing this review after seeing… the disregarded horrible reviews
I am writing this review after seeing numerous one-star reviews, each with dozens of likes, which strongly suggests that there are many more undocumented negative experiences from artists like me. This confirms that my experience is not an isolated incident — it’s a systemic problem.
I participated in the Venice Art Fair organized by ITSLIQUID Group, and it was extremely disappointing and disheartening. While I initially accepted an apology for the QR code mix-up, the overall handling of the exhibition and the way I was treated afterward left me frustrated, unsupported, and disrespected.
Here are the main issues I experienced:
1. Unprofessional organization and lack of attention: The exhibition seemed poorly managed. Staff, mostly interns, often lacked basic communication skills or interest, and no curatorial support was provided. Every day of the 10-day event, their attention and care noticeably declined. Paintings were even falling off walls toward the end.
2. Artwork placement and visibility: My pieces were placed in areas that were inaccessible or removed from public flow, making them practically invisible to visitors. Their so-called promotion of my work online was minimal — one picture of my paintings was posted in 10 days, with no tags or credit. This was insufficient and disrespectful.
3. Venue conditions: The exhibition space was cold, poorly maintained, and at times extremely uninviting. There was dog feces in the hallway, which was not promptly addressed. Environmental conditions, including lighting and temperature, were inadequate for the artworks.
4. Failure to support sales and exposure: ITSLIQUID claims to support artists, but my experience showed otherwise. There was no real effort to sell my work or guide collectors and curators to it. Any “international exposure” promised was effectively nonexistent.
5. Misleading behavior and broken promises: I was offered a free space in Barcelona as a supposed apology for prior mistakes, but this offer felt like a bribe to keep me silent about their unprofessional behavior in Venice.
6. Disrespectful communication: Responses were defensive, sometimes evasive, and at one point even threatening when I raised legitimate concerns. Additionally, I noticed that emails from Julia were clearly AI-generated and overly polished, failing to address the specifics of my concerns and showing a lack of genuine engagement.
7. Overall poor experience: The opening night — the most important day for networking and exposure — was ruined due to mismanagement and errors that were not properly corrected. The event failed to provide the professional environment expected for an international contemporary art fair.
Bottom line: ITSLIQUID Group does not prioritize or genuinely support artists, despite the large sums of money they collect. This event is not worth the cost, and any artist considering participation should thoroughly research the documented negative experiences before committing.

We have read your review carefully and feel it is important to respond with clarity and respect. While we fully respect your personal opinion, many of the statements made in your review do not reflect the reality of the exhibition or the professional work carried out by our team.
First, regarding the exhibition venue: the historic Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, dating back to the late 18th century and located in the heart of Venice, was maintained clean and professionally prepared at all times. We would like to clarify that, if a dog belonging to someone visiting the building left waste in the hallway, this was beyond our control. Nevertheless, our staff promptly addressed the situation to ensure the environment remained welcoming for all visitors.
Regarding the exhibition itself and visitor flow: the number of visitors to an art exhibition can vary significantly depending on the season and time of year. Even institutional and museum spaces in Venice sometimes experience quieter periods. ITSLIQUID focuses on quality rather than mass attendance — we prefer attracting visitors who are genuinely interested and engaged in contemporary art, rather than simply high footfall numbers.
Our team consists of professionals at every level, including venue managers, project coordinators, a general manager, curators, and of course interns. Every member is trained and dedicated to supporting artists and ensuring exhibitions run smoothly.
On the specific issue of the QR Code: we noticed an error in the QR Code dedicated to your artworks during the opening day. Our graphic department immediately printed a corrected QR Code that same evening. This was one of over 250 QR Codes prepared for the exhibition. While we sincerely apologized for this temporary inconvenience, we took professional measures to resolve the issue promptly. To further express our goodwill, we offered you the opportunity to participate free of charge with two artworks in our next exhibition in Barcelona in April 2026 — a gesture of approximately €800, offered without any conditions. This proposal was widely appreciated by other artists at the opening and reflected our commitment to supporting artists even when unexpected issues arise.
Following the exhibition, you personally visited the venue daily, posted multiple photos of your works on social media, and engaged in extended correspondence with our team over two months regarding the Barcelona exhibition. At no point did your communications indicate dissatisfaction; on the contrary, you expressed gratitude and interest repeatedly. We were therefore surprised and disappointed to read this review.
We respectfully disagree with your assessment regarding artwork placement, venue conditions, promotion, and curatorial support. The exhibition was carefully curated, professionally organized, and executed in a historic Venetian palace with the highest standards. Your works were presented in a context that allowed meaningful visibility, and our team devoted significant time and attention to supporting your participation.
Finally, regarding other reviews: ITSLIQUID has dozens of 5-star reviews from international artists who have consistently praised our professionalism, the quality of our exhibitions, and the dedication of our team. Their trust and satisfaction reflect the reality of our work over more than 25 years in organizing independent, high-quality art exhibitions worldwide.
We respect your decision and experience, but we cannot share or endorse the claims in your review, which do not reflect the exhibition’s quality, the historic venue, or the dedication of our team and participating artists.
