I almost fell for this absurd rip off.

I needed to get an EIN for my LLC and did a search for "irs.gov ein" thinking it would be an easy way to get to the part of the IRS site that I needed.

Despite my knowledge of how online marketing works, my brain was glitchy and I clicked on ad with the URL irs-gov-tax[dot]com/IRS-EIN.

My glitchy brain did not catch the ".com". Had I, I would never have clicked on it.

But I did, and the site it took me to did not raise any red flags, but it should have. So I started completing the paperwork and hit the submit button on the first screen.

The next screen wanted payment information--and THAT was a HUGE red flag with sirens because I already knew that GETTING AN EIN IS FREE.

I went directly to irs.gov and, right on the homepage, is a BIG obvious button that says, "Employer Identification Number (EIN)".

Getting my EIN via the IRS website was EASY and FREE.

There is absolutely NO benefit to using this company to get your EIN. It does not make it easier (and the process on the IRS site could not be easier anyway).

What a bunch of dishonest sob's. Nearly $300 for what should be a free transaction through the IRS. The deception is in their letterhead, which is has the IRS logo.
It's too bad I was in a hurry, or I could have gone through the entire Google listing and seen others had identified them as scammers. That should not be an expectation of the consumer. If you are not a government agency, don't try to deceive the public that you are.

Total and utter scam and rip off. DO NOT use this website. You can easily go to the IRS website and apply for what you need at $0. This website is run by crooks and scammers. Do not trust anything that they say. Reporting them to BBB and anywhere and everywhere I can to expose their scam until they hopefully go out of business.

Well I wish I would have read up on this Co. prior to ordering a EIN number from them. As stated below, I was under the impression this was a IRS site. IT IS NOT. I ordered a EIN for a deceased member and paid the extra for quick service, ($45.00) for a total of $275.00. Its been 2 weeks and I can not reach them by phone or e-mail. I believe I have been had by this Co. . After reading the reviews, I wish someone would make this Co. shut its doors. A complete rip off / fraud.

Posing like a government website. Should be a crime. EINs are free and EASY to get on the REAL irs website. Dont get taken for $250

First of all, it is FREE to file for an EIN via IRS.ORG. I thought I was on the official IRS website because their website has IRS in it. That right there is mis-leading. I then proceeded and filled in my SSN which I am worried has been compromised by this company who is not in any way affiliated with the IRS. They charged me $274.00 for a FREE SERVICE. It is free and instant from IRS.ORG. Don't get scammed like I did!

Not only did they give the deceased a middle initial when the deceased had no middle initial. Rendering the Tax-ID unusable. They clearly state satisfaction guaranteed, whoever I had to call 3 times and insist they return my $250.00. They say you will receive a refund in 5 to 7 days. It has been 9 and I haven't even recieved the email telling me I am getting a return of my money yet. And, they didn't even offer to correct their mistake. I had to do that myself.

I hate having to deal with government paperwork, but since it's a required part of what I do, I was thrilled to find a company to help me out with some of the filing. The paper work on the IRS site is daunting. I found EIN, everything was right there, 3 simple steps and I was on my way. It was easy.
All my forms were reviewed, so I couldn't make any mistakes, it was 100% guaranteed. I'm not sure I would have figured it all out on my own, and the best part was I could get my EIN almost right away, I was in a hurry, so I opted to get my EIN ASAP, which ended up being about an hour . The fees were very affordable. . and I'm so pleased with the service I told everyone in my small business support group.

I needed to get a Federal Employer Tax ID Number in a jiffy and needed help doing so. EIN Filing Service delivered as promised and very quickly.
