Rented an awful villa in Portugal with Equally Awful Customer Service

Rented an awful villa in Portugal. It was dirty and dangerous. They sent people to address some of the issues, but had them walk right into the property while we were there. I was in the middle of changing my 3 year old child when a stranger walked in to the private garden with a camera (fairly certain it is illegal to enter a privately rented property without the consent of the renter..). He was there on behalf of Interhomes. They completely ignore emails, won't address my complaints and have made no effort to make things right.

As for the villa, as mentioned very dirty, bathrooms were horrible, pool light was hanging off the wall, socket in the main living room was smashed.

The only thing worse than the villa is their customer care.

You haven't attempted to address any of my concerns. Don't try pretend to care publicly when privately you just ignore me.

(11/08/2025): Again, thank you for the updated reply. To say that the customer care department will be in touch just isn't true. The last reply I have received from them is back on the 22nd of July. I have followed up 6 times since then and no reply. This isn't about speeding up the process, it is about Interhome actually engaging. Please have them respond.

Dont rent through interhome if you want a nice Vacation

My family and I rented a house on Mallorca. In the city called Pollença. When we arrived at the house it was disgusting. nothing was cleaned. the house smelled rotten especially in the bathrooms. the bed blankets smelled like they had never been washed. there are small insects all over the house especially in the bathrooms as if they come from there. in addition the house does not look at all the same as in the pictures. we almost feel like we have come to a different house. we have contacted the company, but they will not even respond to the situation and we are deeply disappointed by this. good advice for those of you who are looking for a house, do not rent through this company. Worst service i ever had and no help from them.

Seit 5 Jahren mit der Buchung bei Interhome zufrieden

Ich buche seit 5 Jahren eine Ferienwohnung jeweils für das Frühjahr und den Herbst bei Interhome.
Der Buchungsablauf und die Abbuchung der notwendige Anzahlung erfolgt problemlos innerhalb weniger Minuten.
Zu der Wohnung gibt es ausführliche Informationen und Bilder. Nützliche Informationen zur Lage, zum Ort und der Umgebung werden angezeigt.

They cancelled our booking 3 days…

IThey cancelled our booking 3 days before we were supposed to arrive. Offered us another property which had really bad reviews (on their own website -.e.g mold on the walls). Do not book if you want peace of mind about your stay.
Response to response- cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances? You advised that the cancellation was due to the property being sold, nothing unforeseen about that, a sale takes months. The new property was also cheaper when we tested trying to it book ourselves, however inter home made it seem like it was more expensive, saying they’d “cover the difference”. Avoid this company

Schöne Wohnung mit Aussicht auf den See und die Uferpromenade

Schöne, gut eingerichtete Wohnung mit Balkon und Blick auf den See und die Uferpromenade von Muralto. Sehr netter, hilfsbereiter Vermieter, der auch eine gemütliche Bar mit vielen Stammgästen im Parterre des Hsuses betreibt. Es gibt gute Restaurants in der Nähe und gleich nebenan ist ein kleiner Lebensmittelladen mit frischen, lokalen Produkten, der schon um 6 Uhr öffnet. Schiffsstation und Bahnhof sind zu Fuss in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Gerne wieder!

Easy & Quick

Very easy and conventient to book a place for a larger group of people (9 in my case :) because of the filters. Nice layout and very transparent invoice, all services and taxes listed, as well as quick e-mail response on my booking and communication, which makes this a trustworthy platform to book with!

Professionelle und kundenorientierte Abwicklung trotz anfänglicher Schwierigkeiten.

Im Rahmen einer Buchung über Booking.com kam es versehentlich zur Reservierung einer Unterkunft für das falsche Jahr, da der Buchungslink auf einen falschen Zeitraum verwies. Nach Feststellung des Fehlers nahm ich Kontakt mit Interhome auf, um eine Stornierung zu erwirken.

Zunächst erhielt ich eine positive Rückmeldung, wonach in meinem Fall eine Ausnahmeregelung geprüft werden sollte. Kurz darauf folgte jedoch eine weitere Nachricht, welche auf die regulären Stornobedingungen verwies und somit die Hoffnung auf eine Kulanzregelung zunächst einschränkte.

Einige Tage später erfolgte eine erneute Kontaktaufnahme seitens Interhome, in welcher Verständnis für meine Situation gezeigt wurde und mir aktive Unterstützung bei der Stornierung zugesichert wurde, obwohl der Fehler letztlich bei mir lag. Abschließend wurde mir der gesamte Buchungsbetrag erstattet.

Ich schätze die professionelle und kundenorientierte Handhabung meines Anliegens durch Interhome sehr, welche trotz anfänglicher Kommunikationsschwierigkeiten zu einer fairen und zufriedenstellenden Lösung führte.
Die gezeigte Freundlichkeit und Professionalität bestätigen für mich, dass Interhome großen Wert auf Kundenzufriedenheit legt und sein Renommee ernst nimmt. Aus diesem Grund werde ich ihre Leistungen auch zukünftig mit Vertrauen in Anspruch nehmen.

HORRIBLE COMPANY

trip to Italy became a stressful disaster. When we arrived at our location there was dead cat and multiple cats in and around the property. when we reached out to Interhome they told us that they did not have any other availability any where else. we then asked for a refund and they told us that that wouldn't be a problem. when we got back home we where told NO REFUND!! not only that we had issues finding another hotel and when we did at short notice we spent triple the money. family of 4 with 2 small children stuck in italy with no place to go!!!! thanks Interhome. their Main office denied us multiple requests for refund and bascially told us we can sue so NO REFUND!! Garbage!!!

Absolutely horrific customer service.

Absolutely horrific customer service.
We were lock-down on April 17-18-19th 2025 due to the heavy snow fall.
We spoke at the Zermatt office what can we do and they told us that we can stay without any worries / obligations.
In the miment that Zermatt Tourism Info informed that the train is in operation and we can leave Zermatt, the interhome from Zermatt send us the infoice for the extra night and took the money directly.
Also when we asked for clarification the employee Leila refuzed to speak with us.
They are focused only on money
