Can't speak to anyone on the phone, alarm bells should ring. A light fitting was faulty on receipt, when I emailed to send it back for a replacement I was told they require an outline of what's wrong with the fitting from an electrician on headed paper. Never send VAT receipts

I am slightly confused by what you have written in this review so please allow me to answer some of the things outlined here.
- Our phone lines are strictly used for sales services and not customer service queries as we require to have a paper trail to ensure that our staff and customers have written copies of all discussions.
- The order you are referring to about the headed electrician letter is from early 2022 so it is quite old and we never received any form of response to this request.
- We do send VAT receipts however our current ticket reply time is roughly 2 business days. We were closed on the 17th of March for St Patricks Day and our team are sorting through the emails as we speak.
It is very unfortunate to leave us a negative review for an order that is more than a year old also given the fact that you have purchased from us quite a few times and have never raised any form of complaints with us in the past. We are a small family owned and ran business and review like this can have an extremely damaging affect on us so I do hope that you reconsider this review

DON'T BUY FROM IDEAS4LIGHTING. THEY LIE, DON'T REPLACE DAMAGED GOODS, DON'T HELP, MAKE EXCUSES. I purchased a $1200AU light from ideas4lighting. When it arrived, 1 of the 15 light fittings/globes was smashed. I contacted them on the 3 January 2023, and they said they would send me a replacement globe. That was almost 11 WEEKS AGO. I am still waiting for the globe, they said it was dispatched but I didn't get the notification or the globe fitting. They couldn't track where it went, so they did nothing. I had to ask them to send another. They said this time they had one 'ready to go' within 24/48 hours. One week later, no notification and no light fitting. Over the course of 11 weeks, I have had lots of really poor excuses from them - apparently their booking system for dispatching stock was broken for an entire week last week. I guess it was also broken for the 10 weeks before that, without anyone noticing. They said the contact centre person looking after my ticket was on annual leave so I had to wait for them to return to get an update. It would seem no one else in the company could send a replacement globe to Australia!! Yes, they are sorry, but it appears, not sorry enough to do the right thing and actually make sure a customer who spent $1200AU gets the product they paid for. They also won't give me details for a senior person to speak to about the situation and they won't give me a refund even though I cannot use the light without the globe. They have been unhelpful, unprofessional and I do not know what else to do. Save yourself weeks of distress, don't make the same mistake I did. JUST DON'T BUY FROM THEM.

First of all allow me to apologise that you feel this way and let me assure you that this is not a true reflection of our service.
Allow me to just go over some of the points you have outlined above and hopefully put this issue to rest.
- The statement "THEY LIE, DON'T REPLACE DAMAGED GOODS, DON'T HELP, MAKE EXCUSES." is false and we will refute this. Where we do agree going over the email chain that you had with our customer service team there were substantial delays and an issue with the booking system it is not fair to say that we lie, don't replace damage goods and make up excuses. When it comes to spare parts for items it can sometimes take a substantially longer time to get these in from the manufacturers as we do not keep a lot of these items in our warehouse. Once your item arrived with us and was ready to be shipped it was and our customer service team sent the tracking number to advise this along with explaining how our international deliveries work.
- In relation to the statement about how one of the staff members was on annual leave, that is correct and it is not an ideal situation and we do agree with you that the timing in this matter was not ideal however passing on the request to another member of the team can cause further issues as they would not have the in-depth knowledge of the request as they were not dealing with it from the beginning so we are sure that you can understand why this is the case,
- Another note about the statement "They also won't give me details for a senior person to speak to about the situation". The person who was dealing with your ticket is the Customer Service Manager, the most senior person in this department so I am not sure what the issue in on this point.
We would like to again apologise that you feel this way and your feedback has been taken on board and will be brought up internally to all parties involved to see how we can improve our service. We are a small family owned and operated business and reviews like this can be extremely damaging to our reputation. Do NOT BUY. Will not work in US
Do NOT BUY. they sent us light fixtures that are NOT LEGAL to use in US despite all their deceptive advertising. Had to pay an additional $300 to import and then they refused to accept a return. How about don’t sell items you can’t even use.
Update: electrical inspector refused to give us a certificate of occupancy because these lights are not UL listed, making these lights useless. Based on other reviews it seems your “policy” of selling unusable items and refusing returns is way more damaging to your reputation than our real experiences.

I do apologise that you feel this way, allow me to go over some points that you have outlined above.
- We had advised that the lights carry a CE / UKCA certifications which is the equivalent to the US UL mark which makes it usable in the US.
- The $300 import charge is unfortunately nothing to do with us and is imposed by the country that you reside in, in this case this being USA.
- We had to reject the return request as the return was requested nearly 2 months after the items were delivered, our returns policy (which had been agreed to at the time of purchase) states that items are eligible to be returned within 30 days of you receiving your item/items which in this case was extremely past this date.
It is unfortunate you did not have a pleasant experience with us however it is very unfair to leave us a negative rating as the policy for returns was blatantly ignored and now we are being punished for this. We are a small family owned and ran business so we take our online presence very seriously and reviews like this can be extremely damaging.

Having scoured the Internet for days…
Having scoured the Internet for days trying to find black soffit lights, finally found these at a reasonable price. We are in rural West Coast Republic of Ireland, ordered these from this UK site on Monday afternoon and they were with us by Wednesday afternoon. Products are exactly what we wanted and service and delivery was amazing.

Threatened me with legal action!
This company refused to refund my order and then threatened me with legal action when I said I would ask my credit card company to refund me instead.
They claim that they don’t offer refunds on sale items, but this is not allowed under distance selling regulations.
Bunch of cowboys. Avoid.

I bought a plant pot stand as a gift and it arrived quickly and was well wrapped. My sister was really happy with the quality and how looks.
