I found Hutch in Exeter and because I was on foot I couldn’t grab what I wanted. Ordered from the excellent website and the plant arrived in really good condition.

My plants looked slightly wilted and…
My plants looked slightly wilted and not very akin to the pictures on the website. The packaging was a bit poor, leaving the plants moving around in the bag. The service when I picked up the plants were okay but overall I don't enjoy the experience and will probably seek other options when buying plants in the future.

We're really sorry to hear that you're not happy with your recent experience with us. We'll drop you an email seperately to try and get a bit more info and see if there is anything we can do to help.
When using our click and collect service, whilst we always ensure we pick out healthy and happy specimens to take home with you, we do offer the chance for you to inspect your plants before leaving the shop and are always happy to swap them out if you see anything you would prefer at the time. We'll get some more info from you on the wilting that you say the plants were doing, but we work hard to ensure that all of our plants leave the shop in a great condition.
On the packaging, we provide sturdy paper bags for all purchases in store (with a small donation to charity) as they are the most secure way of you transporting your new plants home with you. Unfortunately, it's not possible to completely remove the element of some movement as you carry them home in the bag.
We want all of our customers to leave the shop feeling like they've had a fantastic experience, so we can only apologise that you didn't feel that this was the case on this occasion. We'll be in touch to see what more we can do to help.
