I called Hunter Lawyers looking for some legal advice, I was pleasantly surprised to be told it would be an in person meeting and free of charge! I met Mr Lucas Hunter and he told me what I could do next and told me what to expect. He was extremely nice, empathetic and comforting, I immediately felt at ease and I felt a massive weight off of my shoulders. I had talked to a lot of solicitors beforehand and none of them appealed to me, but the compassion and enthusiasm he displayed was what made me go with them. I knew straight away Hunter Lawyers was who I was going to go with.
Mr Jeff Kong was my solicitor, he was exceedingly polite, professional, empathetic, compassionate and kind. I knew instantly that my case was in professional hands and he would take care of it exceptionally well- which is exactly what he did. His responses/replies were very prompt, I would hear back from him either the very same day or the next working day.
Hunter Lawyers was the only solicitors I contacted who actually cared about my case, me as a person, and what I went through. It was an extremely emotional time for me, at this point I was having a tough time with my mental health. I was unfortunately experiencing dissociation, however it improved a lot over time and I was able to manage and control my dissociative states. I believe this is because of knowing Jeff Kong was professionally taking care of my case, it was such a relief and comforting for me.
Jeff Kong managed to secure me a satisfactory agreement, I know without his help I wouldn’t of got the outcome I have had. I cannot thank him enough and I will forever be grateful for his help. I only wish I had known and gone to Hunter Lawyers earlier. If ever I need to, I wouldn’t hesitate to go straight to them.

I visited Hunter Lawyers for legal advice, not knowing that it was free - a welcome discovery! I was able to make an appointment for a few days later and spoke to Lucas Hunter himself, who was very attentive. The dispute I have with my employer unfortunately did not fall under UK jurisdiction and therefore Hunter Lawyers could not assist me. However, the manner in which I was attended to and strategy laid out was very comforting and encouraging. I have no doubt that had I been represented by Hunter Lawyers they would have been able to secure an agreeable settlement with me before long. I would recommend their services to any third party, they gave me a good feeling.

My solicitor Jeff Kong, provided an excellent and professional service, guiding me through a difficult but ultimately successful process. I found him to be both friendly and approachable whilst giving a realistic assessment of the situation as the case progressed. The desired out come was achieved from my perspective so I am thankful to Jeff for his sound assessment throughout.

I want to say a huge thank you to Tim Passmore for the fantastic service, advice and support he provided to me and my partner during our recent visit. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional, but also empathetic and and approachable in dealing with our situation. He explained the various options open to us and gave us some really helpful and sensible guidance as to how to proceed in a way that would benefit us most. I would imagine that for most people visiting a solicitor is a stressful experience, but Tim was so down-to-earth, explaining things without unnecessaary jargon, that we did not feel any stress or anxiety after the first five minutes. Definitely five-plus stars!

Sorry to give a 1 star review - sorry that I am unable to give zero stars.
My wife and I made our wills with Hunters 6 years ago, and amended them the following year - all very efficient and satisfactory.
We recently decided to amend them further and contacted Hunters a few weeks ago when I was told that they could find no record of our wills and they only kept them for 6 years. I pointed out that my last visit was 5 years ago.
the lady said she would check and call me back which she did a couple of days later. She confirmed that she had found our records but that Hunters no longer dealt with wills.
To test the accuracy of what she was saying, my wife phoned them the following day and spoke to a man who said they still did wills and gave us an appointment to see them.
We went along at the appointed time and was met by a Trainee Solicitor who said that the person we were due to see (Mr Hunter) had gone sick that day. Whilst he was a very personable young man he admitted he had no idea about wills. He took our details and requirements and said he would pass them on and we would either receive a call from Mr Hunter the next day or an e mail the day after. We received neither. I also gave him a copy of our earlier will in which I had inserted the changes we wished to make. I was told this would be returned to me but as with the promised phone call and e mail, this never materialised. I found the whole episode very unprofessional and fully deserving of no stars.

The reply from Hunter Lawyers is insulting and erroneous. They DID write my will 6 years ago and amended it 5 years ago, firstly in Hunter St, then in Brook St and both have the same telephone numbers as the Linenhall St office. Looking at the reviews it is not the first time that Hunters have denied knowledge of the reviewer. I had put this to the back of my mind but in view of the reply to my review making me look to be in the wrong, I now intend to make a complaint.

I phoned this firm to ask could I talk to someone to ask for advice on a consumer matter .A helpful lady asked for details and said that Tim would phone me the next day, which he did.
He phoned at the allotted time and was very helpful and kind.
He told me about his fees and then made suggestions on how I could try to resolve my problem without incurring his costs
I think that this information will help me and I am very grateful.

I had a CCJ and I immediately looked for legal advice. I came across Hunter Lawyers and spoke to Tim who helped me massively in appealing/dealing with this CCJ. He explained all the options with dealing with this situation and helped me come to an understanding of what to do next. I highly recommend for anyone to use.
