I ordered my bed from Hugo & Sons in the first lockdown in 2020. At the time bed deliveries were taking a long time to arrive, my bed arrived within 7 weeks which was very impressive compared to other companies!
I ordered an ottoman bed which was very easy to assemble and it looks fantastic. I couldn’t be more pleased with my bed, I get so many compliments on it and I will always recommend Hugo & Sons.
10/10 customer service.

Terrible customer service!

I had a bed delivered where the colour was nothing like what is being advertised on their website the navy blue was almost Turquoise. Very misleading, they also won't send out colour swatches so you cant even check the colour before making a purchase. Then when complaining about the colour the response was.....

We will offer you 50% of the bed value
Less £60 transport

So on a £600 purchase you will get £240 back due to their false advertising.

I would also add to the above that the quality of the fabric and manufacture is irregular, poor in some places and better in others.

I would avoid if you can, I bought 2 beds from Happy beds at the same time and they are far superior for less money.

I the end we had no choice but to keep the bed or lose £360. We will replace at the first opportunity.

Reply to Hugo and Sons:
As previous reported to you and also sending photos of how pale and light the blue is, I am afraid that advertising as deep blue is in my mind considered false advertising, so yes complaining about not being able to have a sample when the colour is nothing like the advertise colour seems far from odd to me, however lets let people make their own mind up about this, if there was a facility to upload a photo I would.

I am absolutely delighted with my bed from Hugo & Sons. After spending a lot of time researching beds online, I came across Hugo & Sons. I ordered a super-king Hilton bed in the grey velvet material with an ottoman base for storage. With the beds being made bespoke to order, I was given a clear delivery time scale and the delivery was professional. I could not be happier with my bed! It is made to a very high standard and I have had so many compliments on it! Thank you so much Hugo & Sons! I can't recommend you highly enough. I will definitely be ordering from you again in the future.

We absolutely love our new Linear Wingback bed from Hugo & Sons! I had never heard of the company before but was thrilled with the service we have received! Our bed is so luxurious, it really is such high quality and fantastic value for money! We found the assembly instructions really straight forward and easy to follow! Our delivery was brilliant - we received our bed weeks before our expected delivery date! Our entire experience with Hugo and Sons has been outstanding and we absolutely love our new bed!

I ordered a Hugo & sons bed back in December - was so excited for it to arrive. We went for the Hilton with ottoman in the superking size in silver chenille. Delivery was very well organised and the delivery men were very helpful. When we started building the bed, we absolutely loved it but realised the headboard was wrong - but after a quick few messages to company over Instagram, they quickly rectified the situation and sent out the correct headboard the next working day and it arrived 5 days later. Honestly can’t fault this company and we’ve had the bed just over a month now and we are still obsessed with it - it was exactly what I was looking for! We will definitely keep recommending you to everyone who needs a new bed!

ADVISORY Customer service

It tuck 7 weeks for delivery as was mentioned when purchasing. Upon ordering there was another option of a further 10% off for cash on delivery, I tuck this option and im glad I did. On delivery day the delivery company gave me a slot between 9.00-13.09 it arrived 14.50, not really bothered but the delivery driver was rushing to get the bed off the truck. My wife noticed before the bed even got onto the drive there were marks on the headboard the size of pound coins in an area of a piece of A4 paper(it was packed in thick plastic). The driver tried to fob my wife off saying it was the material but upon inspection it certainly wasn’t. We refused to pay as the driver wouldn’t let us inspect the rest of the bed so the bed was returned.

There is no phone number so several emails later I was told I COULD NOT inspect the bed. I  MUST pay THEN check the bed. The transit company are NOT responsible for taking the bed back it MUST be paid for and if there is any issues they would “resolve it" later if i would send photos etc showing the damage.

Who hands cash over to someone who can see the bed is already damaged through plastic coverings?

The customer service is appalling, no contact via phone even when you ask/give a number, they seem to believe the customer is not part of this transaction and they get what they are giving. All that was required was a phone call to the 3rd party delivery company that the customer has had an issue with the 1st attempt of delivery please be patient and give the customer 5 to 10 minutes to have a quick look over of the bed on the drive/garage. They did offer to ‘re send the bed wavering the £50 charge because we refused to take a damaged bed!

Needles to say I have cancelled the order.

19th April update
This has been a while now and I thought I wouldn't have to add anything extra to this review. In fact I didn't want to I thought the matter was resolved. Unfortunately not.

The manager contacted me a few weeks ago offering me £30 to take this post down whether I was to take the bed or not. He also apologised for the mark on the bed.

I basically asked the manager that it would have been easier from a customer relation point for him to offer the delivery company the £30 And let me have a quick look over the bed I was not asking to unpack every nut and bolt. Further this I made it clear I did not want his money nor the bed anymore as basically I was not prepared to take something that was marked.

Further my reply he then emailed me calling me and my wife liars by saying that he's inspected the bed himself and nothing is wrong. I emailed him back proof of the marks and said I wanted no further contact with him or his company. Now today he's put his post on weeks later hoping that I can't be bothered to reply. Don't take my integrity as trash pal.

Purchased a grey bed last year. Initially the sides were a different colour to the ends so more had to be sent out. I was asked to dispose of these myself. A second set were sent that didn’t fit together with the ends at all so another set was sent. After over a month and many emails, I had a bed that was put together. They gave me compensation for the inconvenience of paying a handy man and getting rid of the incorrect pieces, only after many emails and writing a bad review.

HIGHLY recommend Hugo and Sons.

I ordered the Linear Wingback in silver velvet and it’s absolutely GORGEOUS. The velvet is so soft and the quality is amazing.

Hugo and sons customer care is also fabulous. Definitely recommend. 10/10

The bed of my dreams

We ordered a new bed at the start of February and it was delivered yesterday, 6 weeks earlier than the anticipated delivery date!!
I've wanted one of these beds for so long and the bed hasn't disappointed, we opted to go for a grey velvet Hilton bed. It's beautiful, well made and high quality.
It was easy to put together (I done it by myself) and looks so glam.

Absolutely fantastic, I ordered the Hugo ottoman bed with storage, I was given a time frame of 7 - 10 weeks but the bed arrived at 6 weeks which was a lovely bonus. The instructions could have been a bit clearer which would have been easier to follow for faster assembly,but apart from this minor setback, Communication was excellent, when I needed to send them an email they responded within a couple of hours and my issue was resolved straight away. I would highly recommend this company.

Very good quality bed. Looked around for a sleigh bed and came across Hugo & Sons online. These guys are up there with the best in the industry, not only for the quality of the product but also how well priced their products are.

Ordering was easy and the option for cash on delivery for even more discount applied is a nice added extra. I ordered on 15th Jan with a 7-10 week delivery time and the bed arrived within 5 weeks. The courier arrived when they said they would and the bed was well packaged.

Had a slight problem with one of the gas struts not operating so reached out to them and they sent out a new one within a couple of days. They even gave me a partial refund!

Anyone looking for a new bed I would highly recommend them as the quality of product, pricing of the products and the customer service is top class.

Best company ever
We recently received our second product from this amazing company. Hugo & Sons were great from start to finish. A no-fuss business. The quality on our upholstered coffee table is just brilliant. The fabric, craftsmanship and the whole service has been perfect. They answered all my queries efficiently, a truly hard-working and genuine company. I recommend Hugo & Sons 100%

Amazing quality bed is well worth the price tag! Love how elegant and sleek it looks in the Grey Velvet! I got the Ottoman style frame and is extremely spacious!! Makes my room look luxurious. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of investing.

Absolutely stunning bed! From start to finish the service that we received from Hugo & Sons was excellent. Adam was extremely helpful and responded to any questions quickly and professionally. The bed itself is better than I could have imagined, it was easy to put together and there wasn't much packaging to get rid of either. The quality is 5 star, we are so happy with our new bed. I’m so pleased with my order from Hugo & Sons. Good communication and speedy service. I ordered the Blanket Box and it arrived earlier than scheduled and the quality is amazing. The box is bigger than I expected which is an added bonus! Will definitely be ordering from them again.
