Having received terrible service from the Derby store, I went to the Nottimgham Victoria Centre branch and what a difference Carol the store manager was absolutely fantastic, lovely nature and professional friendly service a credit to the company, thank you Carol

I went in-store at the victoria centre in Nottingham and the staff were both lovely and helpful. I have a daughter with ADHD who ended up playing with the ring sizers whilst we talked about engagement rings and everything important. They were so accommodating and patient, so friendly and helpful and I 100% recommend them.

I would like to leave this review as I was so shocked.

We visited the H Samual branch Victoria Center Nottingham, was greeted by a lovely young assistant who was helping us with a wedding band for our special day.

The young lady was doing an extremely fantastic job when all of a sudden another sale assistant shouted out from the top of her voice if you buy it you can’t bring it back.

Why on earthwas that said as it had no relevance or connection to our potential purchase and she was not even dealing with us.
I was that shocked I had to leave the shop then go back in to get the assistance name.
Carol was very rude and unhelpful and told us to go to another retailer.

Had a ring sent off for resize,after 4 weeks I got a phone call to say it was being returned with no work done as couldn't do it due to compromising the stone.went to collect ring and they had actually done the work but the stone had been damaged in the ring,so sent it back off.after a week they said they hadn't done it,it was because they had cleaned it and showing incursions on the ring(I clean this ring and it has never looked like this) the stone has been damaged on the under side of ring.Then I'm told they didn't do the work originally because it didn't need re sizing(it did and they did re size it as it now fits) I did get a refund but my stone is still damaged.its been one big cover up from the start as they know they have damaged it and costs more to put right replacing the stone then it is to give refund....absolutely disgusted and looking into taking this further

I rated five stars because I thought it was good relationship and it was good to do it this way to pay off unless hassle for me

Samuel jewellery store one of their stuff Nembers was very helpful with informations of any Jewellery's from to chooseing with my persunts supervision only with my persunt my Mum only when in store last year some times it's not easy finding like earrings or bracelets and it's not easy finding sizes of bracelets Just only with my mum only at Victoria centre Lower parliament Street H. I came here in November with my partner to pick out my anniversary gift. The staff (two younger ladies) were very unhelpful, had nasty attitudes and had very poor customer service skills. When we walked in the store was empty and neither of them greeted us or offered any assistance, we had to approach them.

I found a necklace that I liked and wanted to swap the chain for one that was more to my taste which the sales assistant said I could do. After picking out the necklace I wanted and she gave us a price, my partner was ready to pay. The lady then proceeded to tell us that the chain swap could only be authorised by a manager and because a manager was not in that day we would have to buy the necklace as sold + the additional gold chain so now the initial price she quoted just doubled! This made no sense at all but she was adamant that we would have to buy both which we refused to do because she was the one who said we could do a chain swap in the first place and we were not going to be pressured. When we said we would come back another day when a manger was in so I could get what I wanted, she advised that the price might change the next time we came (as the necklace was on sale). She was pressuring us to spend more money that we did not want to spend and gaslighting us into thinking that was how it worked the entire time.

She was exceptionally rude, unprofessional and she turned something I was very excited for into a very stressful event. We ended up coming in another day, thankfully the manager was in and able to do the chain swap, the price hadn’t changed. In all honesty we shouldn’t have even come back after the way we were treated but alas I eventually got the necklace I wanted without having to get an additional gold chain, again that made no sense. The staff need to be trained in customer service because it’s absolutely appalling and no way to treat paying customers. Do better H.S Samuel Nottingham.

The item I wanted was out of stock but soon got an email saying it was here. Managed to get the watch my partner wanted for Xmas. So easy to use and pick up from store

Very disappointed in the bracelet I bought and the service I've received, I wish I'd read the reviews before rushing as I thought I was getting a "good deal", the bracelet is very nice to look at but EXTREMELY fragile.

The young girl who I dealt with first was very kind and apologetic for the issue I faced and luckily/unluckily I bought the premier care as the bracelet then proceeded to snap twice after being replaced/repaired. The two stars is purely for this girls mannerisms who should be running the store.

The two times I came in after that I was served by 2 older females both different each time but was met with the same attitude which felt very unapologetic and almost frustrated with my presence even though I tried to be reasonable, both informing me that this bracelet should only be worn on occasion which wasn't highlighted at the time of purchasing. There appeared to be no sympathy considering every visit required me to pay £5 parking.

They gave me a 20% discount which is also available to anyone ordering online so by no means have they attempted to make things right. I was refused a refund for a faulty product which snapped 3 times and felt a sense of superiority being lorded over me.

Once again I'd like to thank the younger female for her politeness credit to you and your upbringing as clearly manners can't be taught. The customer service overall has been shocking and I will definitely not be purchasing anything from this store or H Samuel again

Firstly, shouldn't professional jewellers have a dress sense that is smart – not what I found as a repulsively mannered, inarticulate young man with bad posture wearing a very ugly polo shirt, and baggy trousers called *Jordon." I get HSamuels isn’t up there with Ernest and Jones, but at least make a basic effort! The only person who looked like a jeweller was the younger woman whom I thought displayed infinitely more professionalism than her two, frankly, infantile colleagues.

Secondly, even if his awful dress sense wasn't enough to put you off, try his appalling manner, which was so rude, it made me want to storm out. I wonder why, before I even opened my mouth, his manager took what was obviously an instant dislike to me. I get that you can't allow multiple coupons on a transaction but to snap and be short with me was highly unprofessional on her part; there are better ways to articulate things. I understand that maybe she might be having a bad day and heard she did later apologise, so I guess I can excuse her...

The aforementioned young man himself, though, was very confrontational and short with me when he refused a refund saying he couldn’t because the vouchers had gone through the till – even though one of them was instantly refundable. His behaviour was beyond embarrassing and unlike anything having seen from someone working in retail.
The Leeds store sorted this mess out for me and the manager there was wonderful and helpful.

I would avoid this store in future and please shop elsewhere.
