The price was 40% better on the items I purchased, than anywhere else I could find online. Items came well-packed, and in new-in-box condition! Couldn't ask for more.

I would give this company a zero star…

I would give this company a zero star review, but I had to highlight a star to review.
This company is HORRIBLE.
The only way to comunicate with them is email, no customer service on the phone, I can see why now :( . I attempted to purchase this on a sunday.
I attempted to order online two metal 2'x4' grow bed stands. I recieved an email stating my order failed (unknown reason indicating why) I figured I imputed something incorrectly. I tried again and recieved another order failed email. Later that evening I noticed two payments pending for the ammounts of the now 4 items (I used paypal for payments). I called paypal and had a dispute on the charges due to getting failed conformation emails. On the next day (Monday) The company emailed me saying that I should stop the paypal dispute if I wanted to get my refund.
I emailed the company telling them why am I getting charged for two separate identically ammounts. Not according to their system to them they were active orders. I emailed snippets of my email confirmation receipts indicating that they failed and no other emails indicating order fulfillment. Back and forth we went. (Long exchanges about not being able to cancel any of the orders after they were sent to their vender and I should just refuse delivery if they arrive and so forth and so on) Evidently they are able to cancel orders. Finally paypal notified me they have recieved 90% of the refund. I was also emailed saying there is a 10% cancellation fee in their term and conditions, this even applies if you are given twice a failed order confirmation email right after you try and order.

This is why Horticulture Source is a HORRIBLE company and I will NEVER conduct business with.

Merchant Sent Incorrect Products, Takes No Responsibility

Merchant sent incorrect products. Demanded I pay for return shipping. Refused to refund original shipping charges of $75 and charged a 20% restock fee. Illegal but not worth pursuing legal action. Unethical company. Overpriced. Can get same products for half the price at Home Depot.

Flimsy products

Flimsy products. Also the mesh tray is so cheap that it doesn’t hold the weight of the soil so it sinks in the middle. This makes the soil blocks in the middle get the most, if not all the water. When o called they told me I should have made sure the items matched. Yet they have those two as a pair.

Their shipping charges are ridiculous. This was back in 2021 and I wasn’t familiar with other companies, and the ones I knew of were more expensive. I should have know better and invest in the other companies.

This company sucks. Would never buy from them again. This was in 2021 but it wouldn’t let me review with that date.

STAY AWAY! RIP OFFS

Their website allowed a sale to go through even though we later learned that they are not allowed to sell to anyone in CA. When we did not receive a tracking #, I asked them about it and they said they can't send to us in CA. I told them then to cancel and refund full amount. They said they would. Today, they sent me the refund but LESS $6.70 - asked them why, they said cuz we cancelled and it's 5%!! Ridiculous! Horrible Customer Service!

We sell to California regularly; however, certain items are restricted due to state regulations, and these are clearly marked on our website as "Not for sale in CA."

Your order included a restricted item, which we promptly notified you about and refunded. The small deduction was a standard non-refundable payment processing fee, which is incurred when an order is placed and later canceled.

The company is a RIP-OFF

The real stars are minus 5 stars thats how bad they are. When I tell you they are a ripe off they are just that. First their products are made badly, probably from chinese children. Second they charge .98 on shipping for route shipping protection, that right there tells you they are a rip off. They want you to pay 98 cents for shipping protection when they should pay for that. If items get damage or lost it's not up to me to pay for protection, if they want protection then pay for it, don't pass that on to me! NEVER have any company charge for route shipping protection total RIP OFF. And their shipping fees are like double than others companies. So if you see a deal on their site hurry up and click off, you might think your getting a deal but really your buying badly made products with a real hassle to return anything, plus they will charge you a restocking fee, which you find out only after you buy. Last this is when you know your dealing with a con they send you a email telling you you get $100 when you do their survey, LMAO you get forward to a magazine section where you can order up to $100 of magazine like I said TOTAL RIP OFF! RUN DON'T WALK but for sure don't order from these CON'S!

Their right the .98 cent was optional, however if you don’t pay the .98 cents and your package is lost or damage (or maybe never sent?) it’s not their responsibility, they wash their hands, out of their care. A million people 980,000.00 dollars in their hands. NICE!
As far as the other crap, it’s always a way to cover their a$$. If you know what I mean.

I wish I had search reviews on this…

I wish I had search reviews on this company before I purchased from them. First off, what company worth their salt does not have a customer service phone number to talk with a real person? Call them and it is a recording for each option with the solution to go to their website. Really!!!???
You need help? Hope you aren’t in a hurry, it takes 24-48 hours to get a response. They automatically select the purchase of an app, Route, that advertises tracking and some type of insurance, which does not include a refund of taxes or shipping if the package is lost or stolen. If you miss the check box to decline the app, congratulations you just bought a useless app. I received my order but the App never showed tracking. Didn’t get what I paid for and Horticulture Source refuses to refund. It seems these two companies are meant for each as both have very poor customer service. There is a reason Horticulture Source has 83% ratings of 1. It makes you wonder if the 17% ratings of 5 are legitimate. No 2, 3, or 4’s.
I did get my order after a great deal of worry that I threw almost $300 down the drain.
Bottom line take heed of the 83% and don’t buy from these people.

lesson learned....what a fckn…

lesson learned....what a fckn ripoff...I ordered replacement pods for my seed starter kit. I was impressed with their advertised price. I just got the invoice...these penis heads charged $22 for shipping an item that only cost $13. These could easily fit in a mailer pouch and shouldn't weigh more an a pound...Amazon had the same item for $22 with free shipping...I thought I was getting a good deal and was willing to pay a couple of dollars for shipping....lesson learned...

I am done with this company

I am done with this company. They never advise of back orders, poor communciation....no one answers the phone and they never call back. Email replies appear to be automated and do not answer the question.

WEBSITE IS A SCAM DO NOT TRUST

This is by far the WORST website you can order ANYTHING FROM. This is the 2nd time they completely screwed me on a $1000 order. The delivery guy didn't even call me or have me sign, he just dropped the stuff off on my front porch, missing over HALF THE ITEMS, NO INVOICE or ANYTHING. No way to contact customer service to get my money back. Frieght people say call Horticulture source. I WAS ROBBED by this company, I'm filing a consumer complaint right now siting fraud. AVOID THIS WEBSITE ITS A SCAM

Your order total was $700, not $1,000, and certain items were restricted from being shipped to your state due to legal regulations. As soon as we identified this, we refunded you for the restricted items plus the freight savings.

Your shipment included a packing list, as all our shipments do. Invoices are never included in shipments—they are emailed to you immediately upon placing your order, along with your order confirmation.

Regarding delivery, carriers handle the final drop-off, and while signatures may not always be required, tracking is always available. If you had any concerns, we would have gladly assisted you—our customer service is easily reachable via email, and we respond promptly.

We’ve been in business since 2006 and proudly maintain an A+ rating with the BBB. We operate with full transparency and integrity, and we do not appreciate baseless claims of fraud. If you still have any legitimate concerns, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can assist you properly.

#1 they have no actual people to talk…

#1 they have no actual people to talk to so if your order is messed up or anything you have to email them and wait 24-48 hrs for a response! They say they have things in stock when they don't and is about impossible to cancel your order! this place sucks!

outrageously overpriced and slow shipping

this place has gotten ungodly with prices and slow shipping .. it is becoming a waste of money and time ,. look for other outlets for better service and prices... they must all be out sailing on the ocean with there riches now ,,,

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. As many said here, all important items are on backorder, I filed a claim for cancellation and refund, but there was no reply or reaction. Instead, all non-essential stuff that I added only because there was some minimal value of the order to be shipped is already here. Shipment expenses are the same as for the order itself. I wonder if they are going to refund the other items or they should be sued. Don't order from them!

Terrible website, borderline criminal.... HORTICULTURE SOURCE!

Terrible website, do not order from them! Every bad business practice followed to a T! Bait and switch, excessive shipping (which you will not be fully refunded) and overall dishonest. All my large items turned into backordered items, however, you will only know after receiving bits and pieces of your order. Was never told of backordered, until I made them aware of shortages. In all 5 items supposedly backordered after complaining of missing items. You will be flooded with purchase orders and shipping confirmations, which help cover wrong doing. The very same day I was told 1 large item was backordered, they lowered the price on website from $98 to $58. All to get website traffic, and hope you purchase more. It's never ending. They will refund, but you won't get all your shipping back. My order started April 3, and I am just finally getting my last 3 items refunded April 22.. I suggest doing research before purchasing from them. There are plenty of people who have been screwed like myself. Better yet, reach out to websites before purchasing. Legit company will get back to you and possibly even call you to let you know they are legit.

We always ship what is available and promptly refund any unavailable items, including tax and shipping savings. However, shipping costs for items that were successfully delivered are not refundable, as they were already paid to the carrier.

Pricing fluctuations happen due to supplier changes and promotions, not as part of any deceptive practice. If you had any concerns, our customer support team is always available via email to assist. We process refunds as quickly as possible, but some situations—such as waiting for supplier confirmations—can extend the timeline.

We take customer satisfaction seriously and are happy to address any valid concerns, but this review misrepresents our policies and procedures.

No good I will not order from this…

No good I will not order from this place again it is probably a fake page because when I ordered my part after my payment processed the part said backorder and I give them multiple messages about this item and I still never received a message or anyting so pretty much they took my $250 I will not refer them to anyone and if I do not get my money back or my part I will make sure everyone I know gives a bad review to this website hopefully I hear something from them now

Their website is misleading

Their website is misleading. They list items in such away as to think you are getting a case or large quantity when in fact you are getting one. I ordered some parts from them and it had it listed as a case. They sent one, then claimed I only purchased one, but their email and site identifies it as a case. Please stay away from this company. I got ripped off and it has been difficult to get any money back. I did contact the BBB and unfortunately, the case was closed due to a system failure. I did not receive an email from BBB identifying a new response from the company or I would have responded. Companies like this need to be held accountable and the only way to do that is to stop giving them your money. They will be forced to change how they do business or close.

Our product listings clearly specify quantities—if an item is sold by the case, it will explicitly state something like "Case of 10." We do not see any orders under your name that match your claim, but the only ones that may be yours were correctly shipped as listed.

We also maintain an A+ rating with the BBB and respond to all inquiries. If you have an order concern, we’re happy to help—just reach out to our support team directly. Misrepresenting the facts doesn’t help anyone.
