I purchased a Brass Urn Door Knocker at the beginning of March. On receiving it I found it not as described in the site. I requested to return item ,and they agreed . I followed their instructions to return item ,and as it was under £20 I did not pay for tracking as per their information regarding returns. It has been a month now ,and the customer service insist they have not received it ,and their attitude is that I did not pay for tracking ,they have not received it!

I purchased one lock from Amazon from these guys - 48 hour tracked but the tracking would only work AFTER Royal Mail have tried to deliver the parcel - told me it would be with me on the 12th March, contacted them asking why I couldn't track the parcel - they said you could and sent me a screen shot of it hasnt been delivered so we can track it message.
I found them to be very responsive and as a business not very friendly - the retorts were short and direct.
They updated the delivery from the 12th to 13-17th and it arrived on the 15th - great lock BTW but rubbish customer service - so I was not surprised to see them have a very poor Trustpilot reviews.

I am a little bit worried now after reading these reviews. I have just agreed to have this company putting my windows in costing over 2000 pound. Should I cancel this?

How is this company still going? Wish I saw these reviews first. Customer service is shocking. Only received part of order and that was damaged, asked 3 times for refund. Cost me £4.70 to send back and no refund given. They finally send the rest of order, no apology. I email to confirm I have order but didn’t want replacement for damaged part, they replied ‘glad you are happy’ they haven’t got a clue about customer service, please avoid this shocking company.

What a nightmare!! in July I ordered 4 Securit 3* euro cylinders, 3 arrived, one was banana shaped with no keys so pretty useless. I emailed them, give them credit a guy phoned and promised to let me know when they were back in stock.
2 months later i had heard nothing so emailed saying if they cant supply i will cancel my order. I believe i have been very patient. All i got back was "we have refunded the missing and broken locks.
All i wanted was 4 similar looking locks to go on my conservatory double doors and dining room double doors. So i am left with one that will fit one each of the 2 sets of doors.
Told them i wanted to send the ones i have, back...well that will be at your cost!!! They couldn`t deliver what i ordered and Ive got to pay postage.
Customer service is a total joke, you are lucky if you get more than a dozen words strung together, obviously not bothered to read what you have said.
Avoid this company at all costs, cant supply what they say are available on their website and couldnt care less

Asked them to take back a lock that became faulty after 7 months of use. Have provided them with proof of fault from the manufacturer, yet they took it as a personal challenge and after a few email exchanges they refused to take it back despite their legal obligation to do so. Very bad experience, avoid at all costs, shop elsewhere.

I purchased a garage door lock via Amazon and, after fitting, discovered that one of the three keys would not work.
After contacting them they advised that they do not offer an exchange service and I would have to return the item then reorder.
A cumbersome process and designed to dissuade customers from returning products. Very poor customer service and I would recommend that Home Secure be avoided.

On 18 August 2020 I phoned Home Secure regarding a conservatory door handle which had broken (after 23 years from metal fatigue) Very helpful and polite man who checked all measurements that I had made, and asked all relevant questions as to how the internal bolts worked. After agreeing the right product, he gave me the order code . I ordered via the code on the website and paid via PayPal. Two minutes later, I received email from Home Secure confirming the order. Two hours later, email confirmed the order had been despatched via Royal Mail (tracked) and I was given tracking number.
The order arrived 20 August 2020 exactly as ordered, in heavy duty Jiffy bag .
I have now fitted the handles which was an easy job. Thank you Home Secure for your help and prompt service..

I was told by the shop to return our faulty euro cylinder and six keys for them to check on June 03,
Two phone calls Later to the shop I was told they do not deal with online orders and to contact there online department, they do not have a phone line and will not respond to emails

Ordered and received quickly, however order was incorrect and despite 4 messages sent to them (and 2 calls to the trade counter, that said they have no dealings with the online store)
I have had no response at all in over 8weeks

Avoid at all costs.
You will get your order fairly quickly.
But mine was damaged and one lock was missing.
Contacted them many times with no reply.
Ended up losing money and reordering from a professional company.
Just don't...they don't care.

I have now bought 6 high secure locks from Home Secure. 5 of the locks were the right size, one of those delivered was the incorrect size.After reading some of the reviews I was not at all hopeful that I would be successful in getting the lock changed for the correct size especially given the company does not provide a contact telephone number.

I contacted the company via their online form, explained the problem and within a few hours received an email from them asking me to provide photographs of the incorrect lock. I provided them as requested and within 24 hours received confirmation that they would provide a replacement lock and asking that I return the incorrect lock at their expense.

Within a further 48 hours the correct lock arrived. As far as I am concerned this is 5 star service and far better than the service I have received from many other online businesses. Hopefully this review provides other customers with some reassurance that their queries and concerns will be addressed appropriately.

I can confirm that I have no connection with the company (other than as a customer) and have provided this review independently.

I bought 3 ABS locks at a cost of £150, all had been measured correctly, two fitted perfectly but one did not. On measuring the lock that didnt fit we found it was 3 millimeters short, although on the box the size stated was correct. I contacted the company firstly by phone, and was rudely spoken to by an employee, who told me I had got through to the wrong department, and tried to get rid of me. I emailed the company about the lock, sent a photo of the lock next to a tape measure, of which was 3 millimetres short, and asked if i could exchange the lock as this one did not fit. I was immediately told i got what i ordered, the item was not faulty so could not send it back. I told them that under the sale of goods act 1979, i had a legal right to return the item within 14 days for a full refund, even if the item was faulty or not, or if it was not fit for purpose, which it obviously wasn't. It was all on deaf ears, they had taken my money and basically couldn't care less. Please do not deal with this company, their awful, with no customer service or care. The worst company I've ever dealt with 🤬

I bought 2 new Yale 3 Star barrels after a burglary at my elderly Mother's house. One fitted fine but the other was 5mm too long on the outside (locksmith measured incorrectly) so we had to return it. Four weeks after paying £7.60 for next day Royal mail return we had still not had a refund so I chased via, Amazon and got an email to confirm £32.40 would finally be credited. We actually paid £49.99 which we queried to be told the three extra keys we ordered (for carers etc.) are not refundable. If you look at every photo on the item in depth you will eventually find a note to this effect on one of the photos but surely other people will order a front door lock with 6 keys? Anyway we did not find this company a pleasant company with which to deal unlike the many dozens of other companies we have purchased from on Amazon.

Ordered two replacement window handles. Delivered one day before time quoted. No problems.

Shocking unprofessional 'company'. Ordered some window hinges from them. They were delivered later expected, about 5 days later. When challenged on this I was just sent a link to a Liverpool echo news story about a royal mail strike. Not a very professional response.

A couple of the hinge set packets were opened on arrival and one set were damaged. I contacted them to ask for a replacement. I thought I got them on a bad day, they were less than helpful and in some places very condescending during a 12 email thread. After reading these reviews I now know that it is how Home Secure work. ZERO customer service.

I recommend you go else where for anything you might need as you will be let down by this 'company' if you need any after care

I recommend Home Secure either winds down the company and do something else or invest in a couple of days customer service training.
