The Home Depot east in Amarillo,Tx is where I had my experience in the door dept. I needed a screen for a screen door by Anderson and was told I needed the serial number off screen door so I got the serial number and now every-time I drive to HD or call I’m told nobody can help me. The one guy I need to speak with is gone for the day. I’ve tried various times and it’s always the same story. So there’s only one person working the door dept? Sorry I’m not believing that. The people I talk with are always nice but act like they can’t help me. They need to train their employees to work different departments when needed or simply just train their employees they have in my opinion. I have a certain time period to get the screen and it sure is frustrating.

They sell cheap garbage at premium price points.

I understand that the construction grade lumber isn't going to be perfect, but their selection of what they label as prime or premium hardwoods is equally as twisted, bowed, cupped, and warped. Good luck finding flat sheet goods, as well.

They also sell the cheapest fasteners I've ever encountered. Screw heads break off in pre-drilled holes while using a screwdriver. Mind you, these screws are specifically marketed as woodscrews for hard or softwood species. They break in pine just as quickly as they break in maple.

They are a horribly unethical company that shouldn't be permitted to do business until they quality of goods matches the price at which they are sold. But that will never happen. There is no accountability in capitalism.

They have decent tools. That's it.

The manager at my local store was super helpful. They found me the right size wrench and exchange it for the wrong one I first bought

Home Depot shipping department is horrible I placed and order on 3 items two of my orders were canceled because processing took to long or they are having delivery issues. When home depot has an item in stock online your order 2 hours later will be canceled 😞 do better home depot.

I love ordering from HD. Deliveries are so quick!! Today I ordered toilet paper and paper towels. I do not have a car and once in awhile I do get to go out shopping. I was down to my last roll of toilet paper and no paper towels because I forgot to get them when I did go out. Thank You for the quick service and free deliveries.!

Came in for some drywall supplies and ended up getting help from a guy in the lumber section who clearly knew his stuff. Did not expect that level of service honestly.Prices are what they are, nothing shocking. Gets the job done.Wish it was easier to find staff on Saturdays though.

Found exactly what I wanted, but Home Depot would not let me make an on-line purchase without opening an account (and receiving lots of spam). No "Continue as a guest" as most reeputable firms do. Second time this has happened. And in-store, Home Depot has done away with cashiers; everything is do it yourself. Guess it's time to move on to Ace or another customer-oriented store.

I ordered an 8 X 10 area rug. It was NOT AT ALL as pictured! I downloaded a picture of the rug in my living room and it looked wonderful. What arrived is a seriously washed out rug that looks like it's been stored in an attic for 50 years.

At the Utah West Jordan store, #4410, My grandson and I came in to pick up some bags of cement and a new wheel barrel. As we came in there were three trucks PARKED in the loading zone under the canopy, We had to go get a cart and go between the trucks and pick up the bags of cement And also we picked up the wheelbarrow. The one truck was there for about 15 minutes and I watched the guy walk out without purchasing anything and getting his truck and leave, The other truck was there for over half hour and never moved Other people had to park at the far end of the canopy to load their products. I mentioned this to one of the cashiers but she said that announce it many times but people just don't move their trucks. I'm sorry but this just It doesn't help people that are trying to load heavy or large purchases.

Been with Home Depot for decades their customer service sucks. I am actually fixing to quit using Home Depot and start going somewhere else. Anything is got to be better than this.

Made a delivery this morning to Homer Glen Store on S. Bell Rd., Receiving clerk long black hair straight don’t know her name was about one of the rudest individuals I’ve met in years don’t believe she likes her job as we open the doors to unload the truck. She made it perfectly clear. She will not go in my trailer and leave it on the dock and I did just that hit the dock plate. It was hers. This girl definitely needs to find a different job because she is not a people person. Can I have my star back? She don’t deserve it.

I went into Home Depot looking for some things my mother sent me to buy, and the service to check out was very poor. I understand there are new workers, but there was a worker named Maya that saw the other worker having a hard time, and she gave her a little assistance, then went back to what she was doing. The new worker took like 30 minutes to figure out how to check me out. I just don’t appreciate the other worker not taking over. We spent so much time there. Overall, I think this was poor service, asking me questions where my billing would go, and asking who would pick up my order after I repeatedly said who.

Horrible costumer service ever received and discrimination big time. There are many agents that were so rude and condescending Alex, Victoria, Randi, and there were more that really hurt me with their words. These people supposed to help 24/7 online and on phone not only they did not help me but they let me suffer all day long on phone and dropped the phone calls many and chats. Home depot workers are going completely bad misbehaving horrible people. I do not recommend home depot to my worse enemies.....

This is for the Hime Depot in Salem MA. The variety of flowers is great and the prices reasonable. Our cashier Maria was very kind and as we left Ruthann wished us a good which was so nice.

I spent $5,500 for laminate flooring and installation and was assured install could be in 3-4 weeks. Turns out, after they got my money, it was a 3 month wait time. I've called them so many times, got the run around, and no one is taking responsibility or helping in any meaningful way. Beware of install times. Staff know they are giving bad info but have been told by management that is what they are supposed to say.

Home Depot has a partnership with My Exchange center a military store so that Military members and veterans can get a 10% discount and pay no tax. However, Home Depot then charges you a $50 shipping fee to go from the store 5.9 miles away to my home. I see the item in the store, but I can’t use my military benefits in the store so in other words, I’m essentially paying more for using the “MILITARY” benefits. Please make it make sense.

The water heater was fine, but watch out for their rebates. Read the fine print. You must follow the application to the letter to qualify. Don’t believe that you will receive a rebate. I wasted two days being given the run around on where to even apply for the rebate, then spent half a day on hold. It’s not worth the time when you don’t get the rebate in the end.

We ordered products for a project for the upcoming weekend. The only reason why we went with them is due to shipping time. We received two boxes of incorrect product (half the order) and were told by Home Depot customer service that there was nothing they could do. We would have to reorder the correct product and return the incorrect ones. This was a failure of customer service and we will likely not order from Home Depot in the future.

This isn't about the personnel of the Castleton Home Depot in Indianapolis. They are exemplary employees. Very committed to customer service. One of them helped me greatly with this problem.

I ordered a set of Krosswood French doors for my front porch of my new house. When they got here, the doors were beautiful in the box so I figured we were home free. When the installer came to put them in he said they were the worst doors he had ever tried to install. The Sweep and the threshold were not appropriate for the bolt hole to be drilled without interfering with the leveling screws. I called the store immediately and Alyson was a tremendous help in being the liaison between me and the company. Had I read the warranty or the reviews on this set of doors from this company, I wouldn't have ordered them in the first place, but I've always had such confidence and Trust In Home Depot that I figured if they had them as a vendor they were a quality vendor. Not so much. I don't know why they continue to represent this company when it reflects on their reputation. This door company doesn't care about quality. They should have just replaced the door, but they wanted to send us a new threshold. Since the door was already installed I'd have had to pay for that installation, which they refused to pay and then another installation to put in the new threshold, which they also refused to pay for. Keep in mind that this is a $2,000 brand new door. I expected it to work like it was supposed to work. We went back and forth several times and I finally just ordered the parts that they offered. Local store management has no power with these vendors and I suppose it would have involved my hiring an attorney and fighting City Hall, and it would have gone on and on. Unless you want a jerry rig brand new expensive doors, I suggest that you get your doors elsewhere. I'm sure that there are many door companies that would represent Home Depot better than this one. Oh, and when the new parts came the threshold that they sent wasn't even the right threshold for the doors. Luckily the sweeps worked, so we were able to figure out a way to make the doors stable. Do not buy Krosswood doors.
