Homebase - Birmingham Sutton Coldfield Anmeldelser 

On the 14/07/2026 I ordered a planter from Homebase on line as they don’t have any stores that I know of. They’re both owned by the same company. CDS Superstores, owners of The Range and Wilko, acquired the Homebase brand name, intellectual property, and up to 70 UK stores  back in late 2024. So Wilko, Homebase, and The Range are now all part of the same retail group —thought I’d just mention this as it may help you decide if you want to deal with these companies. As I said I ordered a planter and a small bag of compost from them, the compost was delivered but to date 28/07/2026 I still haven’t received my planter the cost was £60 Homebase have no contact details so you can’t speak to anyone you can’t email them. I used Clearpay to pay for the items so I looked on their website to see if they had any contact details. By sheer luck they had an email address so I’ve been in constant contact with them and they kept apologising for the none delivered goods they c gave me 2 new dates for delivery nothing has been delivered. I emailed them a letter today informing they I will be getting the ombudsman involved etc this email bounced back as undelivered Clearpay say they don’t get involved. So my advice to everyone out there DO NOT by anything from Homebase they are con artists and as I’ve stated they are linked to Wilko etc you have been warned

The woman at the till who served me was very rude! She was not accommodating and got very angry when asking her for the price of an item! Never met someone as rude as her in my life!

Your member of staff David is the most pleasant, friendly and professional staff member I have had the pleasure of being served by. In the many years that our family have been attending this store, David has been consistent and courteous throughout. It will be a terrible loss to the community when you close this store. But our loss is the rarity of a wonderful service provider in David. Thank you David, good luck in your future employment search.

The most miserable & unhelpful staff that served if your not happy with your job don’t take it out on customers

Staff @ Sutton Coldfield Branch are amazing. 10% off as the store is due to close on 8th December 3024
The issue is I purchased 6 Heavy duty Strata Trunks @ £19.80 Each = £18:80 (Original price 22.00 = £132)
On Line Advertised as 20% off if 2 storage products purchased & then on checkout Extra 10%.
On Click & collect at that store or any other store.

They Should be open and Honest - Train services have to show alternative fares if cheaper.

Spoke to a supervisor on their 0333 number- Apparently if they told you thing could be cheaper on-line, then that would have an impact but on shop floor customers .. we should be striving to give our customers the BEST SERVICE !!
As Long as the Manager’s CEO’s etc are lining their own pockets.

Why change??

So Sutton Coldfield Branch closes 8th December - To become a Sainsbury’s in the Summer. Across the road is Tesco/Aldi or Lidl & 1 other -
Pre-Xmas - In the festive spirit staff are now putting out Xmas decorations . Is this going to help Staff MENTALLY?? Having to put out Xmas decorations, knowing they will not be employed by Christmas -

Giving feedback to relevant departments - Does not address that I was out of pocket by over £26 for buying the items in store.. and unable to return them as the store closure receipt states, other stores will only accept faulty items ..

Changed the STAR RATING TO 1 as the reply was a generic - we will feed it back & File it

Sad to see the site closing down but lights I had previously bought were on offer so purchased 4 .for another e-reader

Arrived a little earlier than my collection time however wasn't a problem for the Store (Homebase - Sutton Coldfield). Regrettably didn't get the name of the Staff member but she was very polite and courteous took no issue with picking the Order. Highly recommended Store and Staff.

Goods were on a trolley waiting for us yo collect. Staff were very happy to help and very friendly

Store assistants were really helpful they even brought my unit out to the car for me and my friend who came to help me we were so grateful for all their help

Staff went out of their way to get my order off a pallet much appreciated saving me having to go back

Fast and easy

Staff were lovely, but only one person on a till in the whole shop,
Meaning collection people and people buying in store were all queuing,
Long queue for collecting some paint

I had an appointment with Deborah to design my new kitchen. Deborah gave expert advice and listened to all my needs. She helped with the design, budget, styling and finishing touches. My kitchen arrived on time and the overall result is absolutely perfect. I can’t thank Deborah enough for all her advice and patience to create my wonderful kitchen.

The lady staff in Sutton Coldfield store was rude as use her rolling eyes to us. She discriminated and racism against my son and me with her verbal and body language . I have told about the lady’s behaviour to the manager of the store. The drawer is a bit damaged. I will never go again, and i am going to write the same reviews on other platforms.

Order stuff online from Homebase website Thursday evening website said items would be delivered to Sutton Coldfield branch on Saturday .Got a text message and email from Sutton branch on Saturday afternoon saying the items were delivered and ready to be collected.
So on Sunday drove the 13 miles to collect my items went to the collection desk and had to wait ages due to the customer service woman
Not knowing what she was doing with the customer in front of me who had ordered a barbecue first she told him it wouldn’t be delivered till end of September he said he’d had text telling him it was delivered she then told him he’d ordered 2 barbecues and made a fuss about that eventually she found his barbecue in the warehouse it was actually 1 barbecue containing 2 boxes the she came to serve me again she told me it wasn’t there i told I received text telling me it had arrived so continued to ignore that turning the screen round telling me expected delivery date will be following Tuesday in the end as a substantial queue was forming and luckily for me manpreet took over from this woman and she managed to find my items. Best part about it customer services women continued to serve the woman in the cue behind me until her mobile started ringing in her pocket so she left the woman stood there whilst she ducked into the warehouse to take her call.
Shopping online is ment to make shopping for what you want quicker and easier all I can say is that’s 50mins of my life I’ll never get back
