I usually go to more well known banks…
I usually go to more well known banks but I thought I would try Hodge Bank and I’m glad that I did.
I found opening a fixed isa with them straight forward and they even let me know straight away that they had received my money and a good rate of interest too.
If you haven’t tried Hodge Bank yet, try them, you’ll be glad you did as I am.

The whole experience was so easy and quick.
From start to finish hassle free and each deposit was immediately followed by a confirmation email which when opening a new account and moving large sums of money was very reassuring. Not a bad interest rate either. Would highly recommend this Bank.

Having opened numerous online savings accounts over the years, this was by far the simplest and gave me confidence in the company. The interest rate was also one of the best as well.

Another Year Of Reinvesting Made Easy
I can't speak highly enough of Hodge Bank, I have a 1 year Savings Bond that I have reinvested for yet another year. The renewal process is straightforward, but I did call in just to check a couple of details. I was answered immediately by a very helpful lady who assisted me with all my questions and helped me navigate around the website.

Unacceptable delay in a maturing fund
I have a Fixed Rate account that was due to mature on 18 May, containing a large amount of money. It is now 8 days after that date and no transfer has been made although I gave clear maturity instructions over a month beforehand for it to be transferred to an Easy Access account. I have rung Hodge and sent emails but still no progress. I need access to some of this money which is being withheld.This is totally unacceptable and I have never encountered such inefficiency from any savings institution. I have made a formal complaint but still no sign of movement.
I had written a review previously complimenting Hodge on the ease of opening an account - I had no idea that it would be so difficult to get any money back.
P.S. The issue has now been resolved satisfactorily after 9 days but it did need a lot of prodding, including this review. There was a systems error but it took a long time for it to be sorted.
