ISA Maturity issues
No problem with Hodge as a bank and speaking with customer services has been great. Offered a good ISA rate and easy to set up. So no problem not to use for future banking. Unfortunately it was the transfer out being the issue. Back and forth between Hodge and the new provider. Hodge said they didn't get transfer request via email. Hodge then spoke direct with new provider and request a paper transfer form via post. I was told I would be back dated from the matured date. This has been 13 days but at the holding account rate. Not the new provider rate as promised. So currently lost out. Hopefully can be sorted out before it's too late.
UPDATE - Further calls and the back dated interest at the correct rate as promised is getting funded. Something to be aware of that I didn't know, some banks require paper based transfer and not electronic. Which held up the process of transfer in time.

While some providers are able to process transfers electronically, others require paper-based documentation, which can unfortunately add time to the process. We appreciate how disappointing this can be, especially when interest payments are involved.
We're delighted that the matter has now been resolved and that the backdated interest at the correct rate is being applied as promised.

The whole investment process was seamless.
The whole process of investment in 2025, payment at maturity, and reinvestment of funds was straight-forward (2026).
Hodge communicate well and in good time to give clients the opportunity to absorb the details of their investments and maturity decisions.
The Hodge website was easy to navigate; interest rates were competitive.
All in all, I cannot find issue with any of my dealings with this organisation.

Why didn't you collect the compensation…
Why didn't you collect the compensation payments when you acquired Blue Motor Finance? Blue Motor forced us to make an unfair payment. Instead of repaying it, they are declaring bankruptcy. And you are complicit in this dirty scheme. Yes, we will not receive this compensation, and you have a large share in this. I strongly condemn you and will refrain from doing business with you.

As you are aware, the business and certain assets of Blue Motor Finance Limited were acquired by Hodge Bank, immediately following Joint Administrators being appointed to Blue Motor Finance in what is known as a pre-pack Administration process.
This means that the brand, operations and staff transferred to Hodge MF Limited, allowing for continuity of operations for customers, employees and partners while strengthening the Hodge Bank group. Existing liabilities, including those relating to the motor finance redress scheme, of Blue Motor Finance Limited will not transfer and will be dealt with by the Administrators.
The transaction increased the value available to be distributed to creditors, including motor finance redress claimants, and absent this outcome, Blue Motor Finance Limited would have entered Liquidation, resulting in significantly lower compensation for motor finance redress claimants.

Hodge Bank excel as a savings bank
I have used quite a few savings accounts in my time but in my opinion, Hodge Bank are the best.
My reasoning is because firstly, they offer one of the best competitive interest rates on the market.
And secondly, when very many companies have reduced their customer service team to be replaced with A I bots, Hodge Bank still excel within their Customer Service field, and when you speak to a human agent they are calm and extremely helpful when guiding you through your maturity options.
I trust Hodge Bank and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them if you're looking to fix your money and put it away for a rainy day.

Reinvestment rates
I was notified of a pending maturity 1 month prior, and when the maturity option was selected, I was advised, that should rates go up, I would be given the highest rate, so a real bonus.
Overall experience with Hodge Bank since investing has been excellent.
