HiQ from the outset were courteous and professional. They took my car in from the RAC, kept it safe, diagnosed and sourced the part efficiently. Their labour charge was very minimal and very honest.

Great service, booked me in asap after getting a puncture. Good price too. Recommended.

Always have a good experience everytime I drop my car off, it’s reasonably priced and very quick, the members of staff are very friendly and professional.

Shocking customer service from this garage and HiQ customer services in their response. My complaint was completely turned around to be my fault and looking at other 1 star responses of rude and arrogant staff and poor customer service seems to be an on-going theme. All of the responses to my complaint that were fed back to me via customer services were simply untrue and not accurate in any way shape or form. Clear signage and possibly a note on the confirmation email regarding parking details on arrival along with a more helpful approach, and a basic understanding of customer care would have significantly improved my experience. Avoid this garage at all costs!

On their Facebook page and head-office Web site, it states, of HiQ Tyres, that they pride themselves in “excellent customer service”. No, it’s not. Not at all. Their customer service falls way below that of any British company which values its loyal customer core: by its rudeness, its inability to grasp that individuals are not ruled by the same clock as the one HiQ Tyres uses, and its realisation that customers are its ‘bread and butter’.

This morning saw me awakened at precisely 8 o’clock in the morning by an officious HiQ Tyres member of their PLYMOUTH franchise reception staff, telephoning me in relation to an e-mail enquiry which I had written the day before.

He didn’t introduce himself but asked if I “were the person who had booked in a car for some work doing?”.

The man was very surprised when I “thanked him”, sarcastically, for waking me up. His reply was that he had been at work since “seven o’clock”, insinuating that I should be up and about my daily business, too!

He still never introduced himself. I could only guess - in my stupefied and medication-induced state - that he was from HiQ Tyres.

I asked again just why he was waking me up so early, and again, en passant, ‘thanked him’ for telephoning me so early in the morning. I have to state that because of a serious, long-term medical condition I take very strong tablets to both help me sleep and lessen the painful effects of my condition.

Paul, for that is whom it was, of PLYMOUTH HiQ, one of two reception staff, was less than interested in what time of day it was and more interested that I called him a “stupid, stupid man” for belittling the fact of him awakening me. I put down the phone as a result.

I have been dealing with HiQ Tyres of PLYMOUTH for several years. But with this morning’s dreadful ‘how not to do customer service’ episode, it will be the last time that our paths will cross.

Oh, and by the way, I never did “book my car in” as Paul suggested. It was merely a simple query of a possible repair that I was asking of the franchise, via e-mail. And I never did get a reply to my e-mail to them. I will, of course, be going elsewhere in the future.

Please note too, that this review is not for ‘one-star’. It’s for ZERO-stars, and even that would be too much for a company which places so very little value on its customers.

STUART from HiQ, PAUL's working colleague from HiQ PLYMOUTH, has just telephoned at 15h48 on 13.08.2025 to tell me that I am "the only person ever to complain about times of the day that HiQ telephones customers". Well, I am pleased to be unique (although I am most certain that that is NOT the case and he is not telling the truth).

Again, I told him that I was NOT booking the car in... I just made an e-mail enquiry yesterday (one which I would take it that they will not be replying to, now).

Interesting to note that HiQ are now ganging up on me. What a dreadful company I've had the misfortune to use in the past.

I failed my MOT at another garage and I was recommended HiQ by a friend. They got me in the same day to carry out a retest and had my car back to me by the end of the following day with all issues fixed. They called me to advise me of the outcome and next steps before proceeding. Quick turn around and the team were friendly, polite, and made me feel confident about leaving mt car with them.

HiQ will keep you reminded of upcoming MOTs via SMS, providing a link to book online out of hours. They can even pick up and drop off your vehicle if you’re unable to get it to them!

I have had such great customer service with the Hi-Q Plymouth team. Ive had an ongoing problem , unresolved by a couple of garages but the Hi-Q team's diagnostic work found the issue and im really pleased this is now resolved. Communication throughout has been superb and I have felt confident in the service provided.

Have been using HiQ for my MOT/Services for a few years now and have no plans to switch anytime soon! Super quick to get you booked in, friendly and professional staff and they don't rip you off like other garages!

We had just arrived at Plymouth on the ferry from Spain when our car started overheating. We found HiQ Plymouth on google and contacted them. I explained that because we were on holiday we needed a quick solution to the problem and asked them if they could help. They said they could and gave us the number of a pick up truck company that would get the car to the garage. He did get us to the garage, but was very rude in the process. We were directed to the office where the car was booked in. This was Friday lunch time. Only after we booked in did they tell us that the earliest they could look at the car (not repair it... Look at it) was Monday. I appealed to them to at least take a look to see how serious it was but they refused. At this point I decided to cut our losses and arranged for a friend who we planned to spend a couple of days with to collect us.
Due to her car being smaller than ours we had to leave a large case full of clothes and 6 bottles of perfume in our car. We were assured that the car would be under cover and therefore secure. On Monday morning I called the garage to now be told that the earliest they could look at it was now Tuesday. At this point it was becoming clear that my car could be in the garage for a very long time and decided to transfer it to another garage.I contacted another pick up company who transferred my car to another garage within an hour of me calling them. The other garage had the car back on the road the next day. However when we picked up the car our suitcase and perfume were missing. I questioned the 2nd garage about this. Using CCTV footage they were able to confirm that the case was not in the car when it arrived. On checking with the carrier who only had one hour with the vehicle he explained that he had no need to go in the car. On contacting HiQ there was no offer to check to see if the case was in their garage or to check their CCTV. The response was, and I quote....- I aint got no case mate..Wish I had" There was no sign of a break in, so the culprit had a key.
I would like to be able to say something positive about this company. Sadly there is nothing. If I could give them a minus star rating then I would.

Excellent service when car needed a replacement wet brlt at a very good price.

Had my MOT done here today and couldn’t be happier with the service. The team was friendly, professional, and clearly know their stuff. They completed the inspection promptly, explained everything in simple terms, and were completely transparent about the results. I’ll definitely be coming back for future work. Highly recommended!

From my 1st phone call to picking up my van the service I received from the service manager Paul was undoubtedly second to none! His attention to detail, knowledge and pure professionalism in my experience deems him an absolute asset to the company. I will 100% be a returning customer and recommend his service. Paul kept me upto date with every stage of our repairs and I couldn't be happier.
