Good customer service. No issues at all.

When I'm in town I always go to the same location. I always get the kind of car for my needs at a reasonable price.

Easy to check out and great customer service

Unfortunately, this last rental was a very disappointing experience. I had to wait more than 30 minutes at the Tampa location before anyone was available to assist me, followed by another 30 minutes while the vehicle was being prepared. I had planned to handle the pickup during my lunch break, but the entire process took far longer than expected.

In addition, the condition of the location was unacceptable. The facility appeared unclean, poorly maintained, and inconveniently located. The vehicle itself was also in poor condition and did not meet reasonable expectations.

I only accepted the car because there were no other alternatives available at the time, and I needed to return to Orlando that same day. Overall, the experience fell well below the standard I would expect.
As a result of this experience, I am seriously considering renting with Hertz for future business and personal travel instead. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration and make the necessary improvements to avoid similar situations for other customers.

Great experience at this location. No issues and both representatives(rental car check in and check out) were awesome!

The cars I have received the past few times were not working correctly, one car had no USB chargers, important on a long trip. Another car smelled strongly of marijuana, and my most recent car lost the AC 30 minutes into my trip. OF the car rental agencies I have worked with, this branch has the poorest quality cars with poor maintenance of your fleet.

Roger was great with handling my reservation

When I rented the car I was told that if I returned it early, I would only be charged for the time I used it. I returned it after 2 days and was charged for a full week instead of 2 days. They said if I didn't like it, To call 800-654-4178. when I called, I was connected to an AI that was no help and it would not connect me to a real human person.

I reserved a midsize AWD SUV for an 8-day road trip through the Brandon Hertz location. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I was initially told they had a Nissan midsize SUV available. However, when they went to check it out to me, the employee realized it had not yet been checked in and appeared to still be out on rental.

The employee then offered me a Buick Encore and assured me that it was both a midsize SUV and all-wheel drive. Since I needed the vehicle for a long road trip, I accepted it based on that information.

Unfortunately, the Buick Encore was neither a midsize SUV nor an AWD vehicle. After driving it for eight days, I mentioned this to the same employee upon returning the car. His response was, "Who told you that?" When I reminded him that he was the one who had assured me it was a midsize AWD SUV, he acted as though I was inconveniencing him and simply told me that reservations are not guaranteed and gave me the billing department's number.

I called Hertz customer service, and the representative confirmed that I was "thoroughly correct"—I had not received the class of vehicle that I reserved. They did provide a small credit to my account, which I appreciated.

While I understand that vehicle availability can change and that reservations may not always be guaranteed, customers should not be told they are receiving a specific class of vehicle when they are not. I planned an 8-day road trip around having a midsize AWD SUV, and the substitute vehicle made for a much less comfortable trip.

I appreciate the customer service representative who acknowledged the issue and corrected it as much as possible. However, I hope this feedback helps ensure that future customers are not misled about the type of vehicle they are receiving.
