The vehicle was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable to drive. Both pickup and return were quick and convenient. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the service and would definitely recommend Hertz to others.

The Lubbock Hertz Team is amazing! They always make sure I have exactly what I need!

First off, the location didn't have a airport location or a airport shuttle. I have to take a Uber to and from the airport. On returning the car we called ahead because it was going to be slightly after 5 pm and they said we were good. When we got there they said they were closed. They let us in, but acted like it was a huge inconvenience even though on the door it says they are open till 6pm. I let them know that because we were racing to get there by 5pm instead of what we thought was a 6pm drop off, that I didn't have time to fill up. We had used 1/4 of a tank, maybe 4 gallons at most. They charged us $75. Overall a pretty crappy experience in Abernathy and this is after a great experience in Abilene.

Friendly and helpful staff at the Lubbock location. Always get the class of car requested. The only dig is that I misplaced the ignition remote. Hertz does not maintain additional remotes. Unnecessarily costly experience for the renter that has to have the car towed as well as replace the remote.

Horrible website. Unable to provide status or even support chat due to “technical difficulties” for over 24 hours. That’s insane and screams incompetence. What’s more is that NO phone number or alternative solution is provided.
Why torture the customer like this? After finding a support number I have to still pay full price in spite of massive inconvenience.

I picked up a mid-sized suv in Dallas and drove to Lubbock. I noticed during the drive that the driver seat handle to adjust the height was broken so I had several blind spots, i was having to readjust the mirrors several times. I also found that the ceyise control was not working so that was annoying going such a long distance without it. When I got to Lubbock I called customer service and was told there were more SUV options available so I went to pick one up the following morning. When I arrived at the Lubbock Hertz location I was told they had no vehicles available at the moment but If I sat and waited there would be one in about half an hour. I waited and the vehicle they had gotten was a small sedan not an SUV. They didn't even have it cleaned out from the last renter. I asked if there would be anything else coming if I waited a little longer and she said she has no way of telling what would come next. I took the sedan as that was my only option and left. I called customer service again and explained the situation. They told me I could drive to any other hertz location and trade it out. The issue with that is the closest hertz location was 2 hours away and I really didn't want to drive an extra 4 hours round trip just to hope they had what I needed.

Hertz rental car was not located inside the Airport Terminal and There was no Shuttle Bus to Accomodate my Car Pick-up.

I have to pay Uber Car Transportation $40.00 to transport me to and from the Airport to arrive at Hertz facility.

It was easy to talk with the hertz representatives over counter.
