My Husband and I recently bought two cars from this dealership and experienced totally UNETHICAL ways of working and UNPROFESSIONALISM all the way through the full sales process. They made my husband of I out to be liars within written correspondence. They held on to our deposit for several months, only releasing the money after a totally unrelated telephone call. I would strongly recommend using a different dealership to Hatfields.

This dealership asked us to lie to the finance company, we experienced high pressured sales, sending a sales person to an airport whilst traveling on a family holiday requesting we sign a finance agreement. Hatfields did not try to resolve the situation, instead they instructed their solicitors. On the recommendation of Citizens Advice we have had no alternative but to escalate that matter to the FCA Financial Conduct Authority and the Motor Trade Ombudsman.

I have today collected my pre owned Jaguar from Hatfields Shrewsbury.
I have to say the whole experience of dealing with Hatfields has been trouble free, any enquiries I’ve had from first contact with the sales exec Adam Neale to the point of driving from the showroom has been dealt with in a first class & professional manner.
It is not the first car I have purchased from the same dealership & it probably won’t be the last.
We were collected from the train station by Adam & driven to the new showroom to collect the said car, the car was ready & waiting spotlessly clean & with a full tank fuel as promised.
I have to say once again first class service from Adam Neale & his support staff

The most unprofessional company we have ever had any experience with. My husband had made a verbal deal, and had a paper trail, to buy a particular Land Rover. We waited for the relevant information to be able to put down the deposit only to find out online that the car had moved to another branch the very next day and had the price increased by £4k! The sales team claimed they had no idea what was happening and we got told there was nothing that could be done about it. Would not recommend going near Hatfields with a barge pole.

The delay in getting a deposit paid came from Hatfield, not from us. This all happened and within 5 days we have purchased another vehicle from a more reputable company.

An absolutely first class service from hatfields Liverpool and in particular my advisor, Craig Jones.
From my initial email enquiry to eventual purchase the service and attention to detail from Craig was excellent.
Everything was explained clearly, in a timely manner and he was professional at every stage. No pushy buying.
On the day of collection, it was raining and he even brought the car indoors so it looked immaculate when I drove it away.
Seriously impressed and hopefully the after sales will be just as good.
Absolutely shocking service. We paid for our car outright with no finance from another independent company, this included extended warranty and as our car had some faults we had it booked in with Hatfields Hull. They kept our car for two weeks and in these two weeks they claimed they fixed certain issues and others they were not able to fault or improve. One of these issues was a vibration that was coming from the back seat. Their first solution was to try and charge the warranty company nearly eight-hundred pounds for tyres which they stated improved the fault but we disagreed and declined the change, they then stated they adjusted the exhaust which again did not improve the fault in any way what so ever. After been told they wouldn't change any other parts on the vehicle as they did not want to be held liable for it if it did not fix the problem they subsequently told us they would not be able to do anything else. Upon taking our vehicle back we noticed that day that all our alloys had been scratched, other things they claimed to have repaired had not - such as boot, sat nav had not been updated. We will definitely not be returning to Hatfields again.

In reply to Hatfields: As an official Jaguar dealership my understanding is that you also provide repairs for all Jaguar cars regardless of where the vehicle was purchased. Additionally, the warranty provided was not from Jaguar however the warranty provider and the car dealer who provided the warranty from the beginning have worked with us to try to provide a solution and are still doing so. Nonetheless, you state you were somehow limited to what repairs you could do on my vehicle, yet you still caused an extensive amount of damage to the vehicle itself, e.g alloy wheels, door drain hole. Additionally, some of the repairs that were claimed to have been fixed were in fact not, e.g Sat Nav update and boot.

Update: Hatfield's head office have been in contact and at their request we removed the review a week ago to give them the opportunity to solve the issues. They came back with an offer to fix these issues at Hull Hatfield's, the same place that charged for repairs that were not completed and damaged all of the wheels, however no apology was made for the negligence or damaged caused to the vehicle. We completely understand that mistakes happen (though this is a substantial amount of mistakes) but to come back with excuses of why it happened and insinuations that certain damage did not occur at the branch or for instance there was no SD card in the vehicle to begin with is completely improper and unacceptable, and for these reasons it is certainly not an option to return to Hatfileds in Hull ever again. After stating our complete disapproval at this offer, they were then willing to pay for the cost of repairs but only for the alloys up to a cost of £312.00 if we repaired elsewhere. However none of the other issues were mentioned, such as door drain or the Sat Nav update - that wasn't actually ever updated. Nevertheless, we were in fact told not to darken their doors again, and we can gladly agree to this! We will keep this updated until all of our issues are completely resolved.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Kyle and Chris. You have both been amazing and you have given us the best ever experience buying a car, or should I say, Jaguar! Over the years, we have dealt with a lot of car salesmen. You are both in another league. Very professional, personable and knowledgeable. You put us at ease throughout and made our car buying journey fun! You are both a credit to Jaguar and they are lucky to have you. Well, I emailed Hatfields Friday with a general service enquiry and am still awaiting a reply. Very disappointed as they contacted me when Rybrook Warrington ceased Jaguar franchise, telling me about their highly rated customer experience. Sadly this first contact makes me wonder about customer experience on a 6 YO car.

I have just bought my Jaguar F Pace from Hatfields Jaguar Sheffield. Great service from everyone I met. On the day of handover my car was covered up and when the silk sheet came off I was amazed by the standard of car. I bought a used car but was treated like I was buying a new car. The manager came and thanked me for my business which was a lovely touch. If you are looking for a used or new Jaguar please visit Hatfields. I will tell all that are looking that Hatfields is the only place to go!
Do not buy from this dealership! Wakefield Jaguar aftersales care and service is terrible. They have tried to repair my alloy wheels under warranty and have damaged them allegedly beyond repair. They have offered to replace them with ones they have on a stock vehicle but that is not what you expect when you spend nearly £40k with them. Also when I got home one wheel stud was missing so had to get Jaguar recovery out to check that all 4 wheels were secure and the car was safe to drive. I contacted the dealer again but they never got back to me. Now I have reported my issue to trading standards and raised a complaint with the motor ombudsman to get the wheels put right or replaced. This is not what you except from a so called premium brand dealership.
Quite simply the best car buying experience I have had. I dealt with Simon Marston who clearly knows his stuff having sent a particularly professional video of the car and furthermore responded promptly to all questions I had relating to the purchase.
The handover experience was no less impressive in a showroom that is second to none with the car beautifully presented and ready to go.
As a purchaser from out of the area, this is one dealership that I would be happy to return too.
Customer care and service department are useless. No hire cars available unless you chain yourself to the adjacent tree. Can’t even get basic spare parts in less than 2 weeks even though other dealers can get them next day!! Do yourself a favour and find a good LR specialist and avoid the main dealer especially Hatfields. When you spend over £100k on a Range Rover you expect to be without a car for nearly 3 weeks whilst they mess about ordering parts. Be warned.
What started out as a relatively positive experience buying my approved used Range Rover Sport sadly turned out to be rather disappointing.
I found the car I was after online and due to these Covid times I did the transaction virtually, trusting that the vehicle would be picked up as described and prepped to Range Rover's usual exacting standards. The sales process was simple and easy and everything went through fine.
On the day of delivery was when things unfortunately went downhill. Upon arrival to collect my car, I was advised that at the last minute while prepping the car, some damage had been caused to the drivers seat leather. They were extremely apologetic that this had happened and suggested that they'd do anything to put it right, despite it clearly putting a dampener on the collection of my new car. Some options were suggested to repair the damage including them collecting and returning the car, or having one of their nearer garages repair the damage on their behalf. The latter would have been my preference with it being a 150mile round trip, but they were keen to have it back with their trim specialist.
Fast forward and I felt like I was constantly having to chase to try and get the car booked with them for repair, to no avail. In this time i'd also noticed another large dent and scratch on the roof of the vehicle (which upon referring back to an original photo I took of the vehicle on collection I noticed was there too). At this point they said that their other garage would be in touch to carry out the repairs and i'd hear from them to get a booking. I didn't.
At this point i've given up chasing. Regardless of the expense of the car, as a luxury dealer I expected better to be honest. It very much felt like once i'd driven off that was that. I would have hoped they'd go out of their way to put it right as they seemed to suggest they would, but I shouldn't have to feel like i'm chasing constantly for a resolution.
Very disappointing.
We ordered our Jaguar XF from Hatfields Jaguar in Liverpool less than 2 weeks ago . Sales guy was Jay Grant . Always chatting to you , keeping you informed . This is my second Jaguar from Jay , and hopefully not the last . Top bloke . The staff at Hatfields Liverpool are so nice , they all come to view you as you sit in your NEW car and give really nice comments , makes you feel so special . Thanks again Jay
Disgrace trying to charge £100 for a simple change of Volvo on call ownership. I rang another Volvo dealership who advised it was a five minute process and there would be no charge.
I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere for servicing as it’s clear from my initial call that I will be nickel and dimed at every point!
We bought our Jaguar from Hatfields just over 2 years ago. The sales service as you would expect was very good. Once the sale had been made however, the support and customer service disappeared. We have been without our car for 5 months in that 2 years and the service and treatment has been shambolic.
We currently have a complaint that has been running for over a year and we have been passed from pillar to post around the Jaguar network with absolutely nothing done, not even a hint of an apology. Very sad to report as we looked forward to owning the car.
We will be asking the Ombudsman to make a fair and reasonable judgement and to force Hatfields into accepting responsibility for poor service and encouraging them to treat customers fairly and reasonably.

WOW - HAD 3 ONLINE QUOTES AND THE AVERAGE PRICE WAS £147 FOR THIS SAME SERVICE.
COURSE THEY FLUFF IT UP AND SUGGEST THERE IS MORE WORK DONE ETC ETC AND "IT HAS BEEN MAIN DEALER SERVICED"
WONDERFUL - AT 4 TIMES THE PRICE OF ELSEWHERE

Car went in for its first sevice. All went really well from start to finish. Staff couldn't have been more professional and friendly. Couldn't be faulted.
Appalling service. I wanted to trade in my cherised Jaguar F Type for a newer model. The new colours available were not great so we asked for a custom colour and were told this would be an extra £11k! We decided to think about it and whilst we were thinking, Hatfields de-registered my car with the DVLA and put it on Auto Trader for sale!!! Dreadful. They wanted to sell and make money on my car and they did just that, but because we did not like the new Jaguar colours and didn't want to spend another £11k on top of the purchase price, we now have no car at all and they have made a killling on my gorgeous Jaguar. I will never deal with these people again. Beware of their sales tactics.
