Living in the US I was referred to these solicitors by a family lawyer who did not litigate and therefore recommended Harper Macleod LLP. Of course money is the name of the game first and foremost and one was led to believe that you get a first class representation which is unfortunately in my case is not an exact statement that I would now use. A family estate has been going on for five years and the lawyer involved in that estate has been found to have been delaying the funds and with failure to produce proper accounting invoices when requested by the executors.Additionally, failure to disperse funds and withholding funds without proper reason after five years. The estate lawyer representing the deceased has been back and forth with the threat of court action for well over a year to get proper closure. The one and only reason I employed Harper Mcleod was with the thought to get help in getting this lawyer to provide invoices and receipts since the ones supplied have numerous discrepancies and with two accountants being paid to name but a few discrepancy's for a relatively straightforward estate . As a third party beneficiary one is not in any way legally involved in the process even although you are the party to be paid, but all the lawyers happily take their pickings from the estate as it stands. One must remember that the current situation in Scottish law is not for your lawyer to aggressively go after the offending lawyer who in the past was reprimanded for numerous wrongdoings by the Scottish Law Society. So here I am after paying out over £ 3,180 to Harper Macleod and all I am told is the same story that has been mentioned over the past year is to wait, consistently asking to be paid more money upfront without any clear pathway to resolve this issue as a beneficiary. This personally this is not my type of "representation," paying £ 350 per hour to have no clarity, support or having the feeling of a lawyer on your side is in my view unacceptable. It has constantly been felt that there is a sense of indifference and no defined positive assistance to resolve the many unanswered questions which have been supplied and noted above. The worst law firm I have ever come across in this area of practice.
*Update* To reply to your cut and paste response. In the first instance I did fill out your " customer feedback " a few weeks past and as expected had no reply from your business.

Superb conveyancing service from this highly organised and communicative company. Their service was superb and we cannot praise them high enough.
They made our the buying of our cottage so much easier than we imagined, and always with a super friendly approach.
