Order collected off in store, when it hasn’t been collected
Ordered 2 boltless shelving units for 71.98 on 11th September, from Gloucester, eastern avenue, used £5 voucher so paid £66.98, wasn’t able to collect so was expecting a refund on the 18th as your policy states that after 7th day if not collected the order would be cancelled and refund issued, 18th came checked emails nothing to say cancelled, checked order, imagine my surprise when it said I collected them at 12.30 on the 18th…….. impossible as I was at work which can be verified by cctv, not happy

No bike, no refund, endless excuses
I ordered a bike from Halfords on 30 August, along with accessories, as a 30th birthday present. The accessories arrived shortly afterwards. The bike did not.
Delivery was scheduled for 4 September. From then on, DHL simply moved the expected delivery date forward by one day, every day. I called DHL several times. The shortest wait was around 50 minutes, the longest was 1 hour and 20 minutes. Each time, I struggled to understand the adviser and was told, “It will come tomorrow.” It never did.
Halfords were equally unhelpful. Their advice was also to wait until tomorrow, despite that being exactly what I had already been doing for days.
When I called again on 10 September and said I felt like cancelling, the adviser contacted DHL and had the delivery cancelled. So instead of anyone locating the missing bike or resolving the problem, I was left with no birthday present at all.
It is now 19 September, nine days after the cancellation. I have the email confirming it was cancelled, but I still have it took until 17 September to receive the refund, and even more absurdly, DHL’s tracking page still says the bike is due to arrive on 11 September, a date that passed more than a week ago.
Halfords took my money, failed to deliver the bike, failed to manage their courier, cancelled the order without producing any meaningful solution, and taking time to return my money.
The entire experience has been stressful, upsetting and shockingly incompetent. This was meant to be a special 30th birthday present. Instead, it became nearly three weeks of chasing, waiting, contradictory information and wasted hours on the telephone.
I would not use Halfords again, and I certainly would not trust them with an important purchase.
Please don't "ask me to get in touch" via some generic messaging service - I've had enough unless you think you can make this meaningful, and worth my already lost time!

Brilliant customer service
The dashcam I had fitted at Halfords a couple of years ago had stopped working. Aaron at Huntingdon Halfords immediately diagnosed the problem, explained it to me and fixed it within about 30 mins. He was so helpful, friendly with great communication. Thank you so much, brilliant customer service. I have told all my family and friends.
