We have used Gourmet hog roast for the last few years for our end of Summer Staff BBQ- They are easy to deal with quick to quote. Staff are freindly and cheerful.
They are more than happy to stick around to make sure that everyone is served. They usually come and feed around 100 people and the food is always well received.
We cannot recommend Gourmet Hog Roast Company highly enough!
A few months before our wedding, I was diagnosed with coeliac disease, and what should have been an exciting lead-up to our big day suddenly became quite stressful when it came to planning the food. We were worried that our options would be limited and that we'd have to compromise on the menu we'd always wanted.
Thankfully, the team at Gourmet Hog Roast Company were absolutely incredible from start to finish. They took the time to understand my dietary requirements and went above and beyond to make sure I didn't have to miss out. They even sourced our chosen options from different meat suppliers so that everything could be safely prepared while still being exactly what we had envisioned for our wedding. That level of care and attention meant the world to us.
We chose the BBQ Feast option, and it was phenomenal. The meat was incredibly juicy, packed with flavour, and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and the quality was outstanding. Our guests are still talking about how good the food was!
We also had a number of fussy children attending, which could have been a challenge, but after some back and forth before the day, the team worked with us to ensure every single guest had something they would enjoy. They genuinely couldn't have been more accommodating, and everyone left happy, full, and impressed.
For the evening food, we decided to go a little off-script with hash browns and fish finger sandwiches, and they were an absolute hit! They were delicious, fun, and exactly what everyone needed after a day of celebrating and dancing.
The food was exceptional, but what truly sets Gourmet Hog Roast Company apart is their customer service. Nothing was too much trouble, every request was handled with enthusiasm and professionalism, and they played a huge part in making our wedding day everything we hoped it would be.

I found gourmet hog roast online and chose it because looks professional and experienced.
We had a fantastic experience! Jayden and Russell were friendly, professional and incredibly helpful throughout. Everything was well organised, from the setup to the serving, which made the whole experience completely stress-free for us as hosts.
We received lots of compliments from our guests about the food, and we would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great BBQ catering for an event. Everything was juicy, and menu was well balanced with many choices. We had Tuscan chicken, beef burger and sausages. The salad was amazing too! The barley adds a lot texture and is very healthy.

Lots of good reviews on here which is why I booked this company.
They turned up late, and were only providing the crackling, the hog and the potatoes. The crackling was not crispy so we couldn't serve it, the hog was lukewarm (as it is cooked off site, then reheated and they did not allow enough time on site to reheat it....unsure how that sits with health and safety?) and the potatoes were sad looking new potatoes.
They also mislead you when they say they are close to your location - we were in Wycombe and the pig had been cooked in Birmingham. The chef they sent was scruffy and had a dreadful attitude.
They will of course try to defend themselves and did offer a £150 refund for the 'disappointment', whilst maintaining that 'every pig produces slightly softer crackling' as their excuse for not being able to get crackling on their plate and letting us know 'all temperature checks were carried out on site' which of course we cannot verify. My feeling is that their response indicates these complaints happen a lot and perhaps they have expanded faster than they ought to have done.
Dreadful customer service too, when I asked for a call prior to my event, they suggested 8pm on a Tuesday?
If you like food, I suggest you look elsewhere for a more authentic hog roast.
