Great staff
I asked a member of staff Craig for some advice and a product.
He had really good advice and knew exactly where anything I needed was.
Store is well laid out and easy to navigate.

Fishing tackle
I wanted to get into fishing but wasn’t to sure what I needed and where to start. I approached a member of staff called Karl who was more than happy to help, he made me feel at ease going through what I needed without breaking the bank! Really top customer from Karl and really showed his knowledge thanks again mate!

Good visit to Go Outdoors Manchester
Good visit to Go Outdoors Manchester. Paul was very helpful and served my husband well as he looked for sandals. Once chosen, Paul took the sandals to the checkout so that we didn’t have to carry them around. When I got to the checkout, Craig was ready with the sandals and the purchase was made quickly.
Both Paul and Craig were very friendly and they made this visit a delight.

I visited Go Outdoors looking for a tent and received absolutely excellent customer service from Jo. He went above and beyond to help me find the right tent, and nothing was too much trouble. Jo was very knowledgeable, polite, patient, and took the time to answer all my questions. He even helped carry my purchase to the car, which was really appreciated. A real credit to the store — thank you Jo!

Visited the store today to browse for outdoor summer outfits. Wide choices of outdoor wears, nice collection. Got served very well by two enthusiastic staff members (Deacon and Leanne). Deacon provided with excellent customer service helping with getting membership card done. Thank you. 😊

A good experience at Go Outdoors
I think that I have got Klowdia's name right, apologies if not. We saw Klowdia and Craig, they were both very helpful. We left with two pairs of Brasher walking shoes and two pairs of Bridgedale light hiker socks. The store is enormous and very well stocked. Using the Discount Card is absolutely essential, we saved £83.00. We recommend it!

Wake up Go Outdoors - it's 2026
Needed a footprint for my new Rydal400 tent. Out of stock online at GoOutdoors, Millets, Blacks etc.
Called 14 Go Outdoor stores as this company have no idea where stock is. The customer has to work it out for the them. All calls were sadly in vain. They had Rydal500 footprints so in anticipation of returning the 400 and buying a 500 instead I went to Manchester to see the 500. There was a 400 next door and in it unbelievably were the 400 footprints! The Manchester store was the first I had called! Clearly this company have no concern for customers or staff at all. But on the basis that each call took five minutes while a member of staff went to check then they are doing their bottom line no good either by wasting staff time. I can't think of one other retailer who can not identify stock in the closest branch to a customer. Wake up Go Outdoors it's 2026! Staff at the store were great & they must be so frustrated.
Update in reply to the response.
I'm sorry but there is absolutely no evidence or any stock visibility or location system. If there were one I'm sure staff would use it rather than run around the store looking aimlessly.

We completely understand how disappointing this must have been, particularly when you later discovered the item was available at a store you had already contacted.
