Absolutely appalling service from start…
Absolutely appalling service from start to (never ending).
Called the company who said they were a professional company who had been in business for many years.
Simple repair to a washing machine door was required but they insisted on an engineer call-out and repair charge of £155.
Engineer turned up spent 2 minutes confirming what we already knew and said the part would be ordered and machine repaired once they received it.
2 months on NO repair MANY phone calls MANY false promises. Last week I requested a full refund which they agreed to but nothing happened. Called back today to be told a refund of £36 had been transferred to me 1 month ago.
So complete BS from start to finish.
To add insult I could of ordered the part online with 48hr guaranteed delivery for less than the refund.
Totally unprofessional company and a personal opinion of being a con. They had no intention of repairing, ordering or completing their side of the contract.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS be WARNED

Made in Britain?
Made in Britain?
Just discovered (from trust pilot review) Dimplex are part pf the GDHA group (Glen Dimplex) boasting of everything being made in Britain so after my trust pilot Dimplex reciew I posted the fact Dimplex advise me my currently still available Club Electric Fire was manufactured abroad and that was the reason the part needed for repair was obsolete and unavailable even though it was hardly used and in pristine condition, which was confirmed by my electrical retailer who looked into the possibility of repairing my fire
Would like an explaination!

DIMPLEX - LETS PASS THE BUCK!
Bought an electric fire from Argos, made by DIMPLEX.
The advert stated 1.7mt lead.
The lead is not 1.7mt.
Contacted DIMPLEX. Didn't want to know stating 'take it back to Argos'!
Load of help they were. First and last time I'll buy anything with DIMPLEX!
Mr Tony Taylor (continual high standards)
Mr Tony Taylor, a specialist agent continues to show enthusiasm and professionalism whilst representing his Company Glen Dimplex. The repairs to our cooker today were conducted with exemplary efficiency Many thanks indeed
Avoid this company at all costs.
I had the misfortune of working for GDHA for quite a few months. To begin with, you're given so many weeks training going over the history of the company rather than how to do your job itself. The utter lack of quality to training resulted in me and my colleagues only being able to give a low level of due and deserved customer service.
During my time at the company I felt discriminated against for my mental health and was given no reasonable adjustment. I was harassed and bullied by managers on a daily basis.
I am truly sorry if you're having to currently deal with the company or have had to deal with the company in the past. To avoid this place all together I have warned family and friends to ensure that any kitchen appliances they're considering making a purchase of, ensure that it does not fall under the dimplex brand or that GDHA doesn't deal with the repairs as you'll only be treated poorly.
Been waiting on parts now for ever
Been waiting on parts now for ever , the staff members that’s members ( because I had to call a few times all sounded depressed . One staff member who was leaving said they literally have no staff to deal with the amount of calls coming through , and apologised for my wait time . Then apologised for taking a sip of water , as they do not get a break between calls it is constant and that is why they are leaving .
The person did their best to resolve the situation. But that was weeks ago and I’m guessing the staff member has now left . And I wish them good luck . I have now given up trying to call back , can never get through .
No service poor service
I received my warranty part no problem 4 months ago….and they sent me a confusing reference in the service manual on how I could replace it…now that great service don’t you think….I have been phoning and following up weekly and can’t get it resolved
Dishonest company- Avoid unless absolutely desperate
Dishonest company- engaged with our housing provider in providing old Redwing shower stock, the first totally failed and had to be replaced and then, when the water pressure through the replacement was nowhere near enough, they asked me to do a test, acknowledged that it was nowhere near enough and sent their "most experienced Engineer" Grahme out.
He turned the shower on, put his hand under it and then left within 5 minutes stating that he'd be happy with it, that it would fail during peak times and that I might need a different shower "for my needs" and then said he'd put that it would fail in his report.
I suspected that he was incompetent (something about him) so I called and gave them feedback. This was confirmed when GDHV Emailed me back and told me that the pressure was MEASURED at 1.5 bar. He must have a built in pressure gage in his hand. Lying swine. This is war.
I would recommend that you avoid this company with a 10 foot bargepole and it sounds like I'm not the one one given their review rating on here.
Glen Dimplex in Australia failed
Glen Dimplex in Australia failed to address a new ARC hotplate issue with a dangerous faulty controller letting elements come on by themselves. They advised just to reset the hotplate power at the switchboard, to no avail. When they did offer to send a contractor out, the contractor advised that he was provided no parts to repair the issue, and was just asked to take photos of the install to give Glen Dimplex a reason to deny warranty. Appliancesonline also failed to replace this faulty hotplate they sold me.
Ignored for 6 months before arguing over repair
This company are shambolic.
Purchased a £1200 ‘Stoves’ range cooker 4 years ago, had an issue within first purchase with door not closing properly and lots of steam escaping / damaging the front of the oven.
Long story short, 3-4 years later the front of the oven began to corrode (likely from the steam escaping). Reported this to Glen Dimplex in January 2021, only had the problem fixed last week.
Denied responsibility / ignored me for weeks and months at a time. Fobbed me off on the phone, ignored emails. Told me I would be charged for engineer visit but that the replacement part would be free under their ‘10 year warranty’. Would not provide a price for the engineer or concede was their fault and should be free.
After backing and foring / matter being escalated to ‘escalations team’ finally they agreed to repair the oven free of charge and it took the engineer 10 minutes. The only reason they agreed to do it for free was because it took 6 months of being ignored and me chasing.
They did not admit that they did this for free due to their shocking customer service but that is clearly why.
Do not let them fob you off, they seek expensive products with supposed long warranties and then won’t honour them. Simply keep on until they fix any issues you have.
Never ever use this company
If you can, do not work with this company - have spent the best part of 6 months to fix a broken xpelair system still in warranty, it requires 15 chase ups between each communication, they just send people without letting you know they are coming or with a time, every time they have "fixed" the machine, they just leave creating a new issue. Most recently they replaced the whole machine, along with 3 others in our building and they have left the 4 broken machines in our lobby for what has been 3 weeks now (I'm on 6 chases now). After the most recent replacement the fan is making a crazy loud noise - yay 100 calls now for me to make so I get one response. Embarrassing joke of a company, how they have a £billion rev, I would never know.
Worst company to buy anything from and to work. for
The Production Manager John Dobson works as one side only manager (his mates at the factory come 1st, 2nd and 3rd, been wrong or right).
And makes a blind eye for all the below. and does not communicate to the production director.
Resources - equipment/tools supplied should be fit for purpose. For example, I used an air drill for fitting grills and hinges for 16 weeks. Quality Control advised after 4 weeks that the torque force was insufficient for the task and needs to be replaced by a power drill. Supervisor was advised by Quality Control, Supervisor advised Nathan and 12 weeks later the equipment was not upgraded and I was still using the incorrect tool for the job; which put additional strain on my hand, arm and shoulder. Scanners are an essential part of the production process and from Friday 11th until at least 19th all of the scanners in the final configuration section were not working.
Training - SOP’s, on the job training from management team, monitor and review standards following training to ensure compliance, employee should be multi skilled in more than one position on the line to ensure standards are maintained during the coverage for absences.
When the employees are multi-skilled they can identify improvements and mistakes from their colleagues, potentially avoiding a whole build with mistakes - this happens regularly.
Management of staff - Team leaders and supervisors should be trained to spot check the line constantly to avoid repetitive mistakes occurring.
Clear guidelines need to be set and adhered to regarding the length of breaks.
Efficiently and productivity can be improved by the removal of mobile phones from the factory floor -
I would suggest implementing this using the Health and Safety reason regarding the risk that mobile phones have to being flammable. Moreover the removal of chairs from the factory floor needs to be a priority. Employees are sitting while waiting for the line to move forward - if they were multi-skilled they could flex from one task to another.
Analysis - Results need to be tracked. Productivity per shift (not per week). Management team need to be held accountable for their results. Who is making mistakes and why? then employees can be retrained and mistakes reduced.
Healthy working environment - natural daylight is essential to well being, the windows in the production line for cookers are black. Moreover this does not reflect high standards to visitors and guests.
In addition to all of that, the management is cutting work for to cut cost and they are retaining the staff that is white and Brit, the others bye, bye regardless is they are a more productive, punctual and reliable worker.
And I Forgot to mention, if your cooker get scratch at the production line or has little imperfections it will be used permanent marker to partially cover and will be sent as brand new one.
Please check bottom of the doors and inside of the cavities for scratches and marks, because the at Glen they say the costumer will never look there so don't worry send it like that!
Incompetent, disorganised, uncommunicative, worst organisation with which I have had the displeasure to their lamentable service to
I bought a Quantum Storage Heater which works with Economy7, allegedly. My fitter had some questions but the person he spoke to was obviously working from a script and had no idea about the product. It receives off-peak feed but produces no heat.
Subsequently, I had three conversations over two weeks with equally ill-informed individuals when eventually one of them spoke to an engineer (hooray!) who though it needed a replacement charge controller. Ordered on 27 May and fitter booked for 2 June - no part so fitting cancelled and rebooked for 8 June. When not received, spoke with someone quite switched on who said that the part was still in Ireland awaiting customs clearance (hooray for Brexit). Engineer cancelled but part then received on the 9th. Next booking handed to their Consumer Appliance team who came up with 23 June. Received voicemail to say fitter would be there between 10am and 12pm. Time came and went along with 1pm, 2 pm and finally I left the empty flat at 4pm. Numerous phone calls, despite being unable to locate on their system, eventually established job was with Trevor Hill whose phone was permanently switched off and messages left to contact me. Discourteously, he did not. They would not provide me with his mobile number - yet another misunderstanding of GDPR. Again made calls to their CA team, generally waiting up to half an hour for a response, if any. Will now have to make another appointment to get the part fitted - ideally not by the uncommunicative Trevor.
I very much regret that I am unable to recommend Glen Dimplex to anyone with any expectation of an efficient and effective service, or indeed, any service with a modicum of competence.
Our Belling Range Cooker came with the…
Our Belling Range Cooker came with the new house when we moved in mid-March this year. The main oven did'nt work. I called Customer Service and after a long wait spoke to one of the team. We discussed that this one oven has not heating and that it was tripping the main house consumer unit. We agreed that the likely issue was a faulty element. They checked with the Technical Department whilst I was on the phone who confirmed that the heating element was available. I went ahead and booked the engineer service call at £155. Service Ref: CC-1337950
Two weeks later the engineer arrived as expected, but without the spare parts. Belling has not sent them. He called up his base and it was confirmed that the parts were in fact obsolete. He informed me that the heating element was indeed at fault, and that I could get at least a partial refund or perhaps a full refund in this situation.
I contacted Customer Services, explained the story. They basically ignored the issue and refused to deal with the problem or offer a refund.
I insisted that they raise a formal Customer Complaint (same reference).
After 4 weeks of waiting for the complaints team to contact me, I rang Customer Service again. They promised to escalate my Complaint and that I should get a call back within 24 hours !!
That was over a week ago, and I am still waiting....
Funny thing is that we really like the old oven...it's brilliant. We had been discussing buying another one (over £1000) when we redo our kitchen... but this shocking Customer Service and support and maintenance has put us off buying this brand.
Also now that I have read all the Trustpilot reviews I am now warned off any GlenDimplex products.
