Second time purchasing Gilboys hard wax oil as I tested it out on some solid oak shelves and was delighted by the results. I'm now oiling oak doors and some mid-century tables that I am refurbishing (also thanks to watching the Gilboys tutorials on Youtube). I needed something of quality that is also foolproof to apply as I have no prior experience. Service was great too - quick and efficient. Highly recommend the product and company.

He made such a beautiful job of it I thought the wax must be good.

Excellent product love the smell. Bought it for our very large brown L-shaped leather sofa. Too unwell and busy to use it on a large area yet. Results so far are very encouraging found it vastly improved the quality of the leather and disguised scratches and marks left by a lively naughty kitten.

IF ONLY .....
I have just this very minute used your hard wax oil for the very first time on a GPlan side table. I have been restoring pieces of furniture for many years now and have a shed full of various types of finishes that I have experimented with and wasted money on! IF ONLY..I had known about Gilboys then! I now look at my past attempts and feel the need to redo them! The hard wax oil is amazing it just glides across the wood... it truly is as smooth as satin. You will not be disappointed!

First and foremost, the wood polish is fantastic, vastly easier to apply and finish than anything I’ve used before. More than that though is the care and attention in the packaging and shipping. It’s not often you open a package to find handwritten thank you notes and thoughtful little gifts, which I really appreciated. Made me realise that this is a family business that really cares about its relationship with its customers. Thanks a lot, I’ll be back!

I bought the Pure Gold Furniture Polishing kit and found it to contain all the elements necessary to achieve a pleasing finish on my light oak arts and crafts table. The wax was easy to apply and the finish was silky smooth to the touch and lustrous to the eye.

The bee is heavy and beautifully crafted. We plant our property specifically for bees and butterflies. No weed killers and many things for them to enjoy. I purchased the bee for my bag. I have many admirers of the lovely bee.

Pine table and 4 chairs restoration
I have really only just started sanding down the table and chairs so I haven’t really used your product yet, although I did a little tester on the table top to see what it looked like, and I must say I am very impressed, and can’t wait to use it properly. So thanks for the hard wax oil, beeswax and cloth/wirewool, will send you pictures of before and after.

We had out 50-year old walnut cabinets sanded and then simply oiled with Gilboys and the result is stupendous! The oil brought out the darker natural grain that had faded over the years. It far exceeded our expectations!

I also LOVE that Gilboys is all-natural!

Great wax polish
I was unsure about the dark colour of the antique gold wax…..but I had the perfect item to try it on recently. It brought up my recent purchase of an art deco burr walnut desk box, which needed a little tlc, beautifully. I’m starting on the cocktail cabinet now 😉

What a shine.
The starter kit is ideal for someone who only has a small job or who wants to test before committing. A little goes a long way. I used them on a table after using the hard wax oil and it was easy to apply, easy to buff to a lovely sheen, even for amateur like myself. I am now looking around for any wooden object to wax.

As an antique dealer I’ve used a lot of waxes over the years and Gilboys is the best of them all! The quality of the wax is matched by quality service - I highly recommend Gilboys and their waxes!

Still preparing the furniture for finishing but small test areas are looking promising. The hard wax oil and polish smell great and go on with little effort. Hopefully the final results will be as good as the tests.

A very good product
The polish, wire wool and practical advice make this a a very good product for restoring my antique furniture finish. The aroma remaining after the polishing process is also pleasant.

Bought a charity shop teak sideboard and needed to restore it. We watched the YouTube video ( teak table) and then ordered this. The kit arrived quickly and after sanding the only stuff we needed was in the box. Lovely finish and very rewarding process
