I treated my Oak strip wooden floor
I treated my Oak strip wooden Hall floor approximately 1 year ago and the results were fantastic. There’s a couple of hard wear area’s that could do with a light re coating so I’ve bought another tin of it. I do have to say it’s a super product, it smells good, it’s hard waring and the results are exceptional . Thank you Simon for your advice when I asked about giving my floor another coat and thank you for such a great product.

Astonishingly removed the black mark on my kitchen worktop. This product should carry a warning “contains witchcraft”!

Quality products beautifully presented and back ed up by people who really know their stuff. It’s a pleasure to deal with these people and their products are amazing. I have purchased quite a few different items from them over the last few years and every time I open the boxes I smile seeing the care and attention to detail that has gone into both products and presentation. I can’t imagine a better product being available. Well worth every penny. The results speak volumes.

This was my second experience, and my first was equally good. I am happy that I found it.

The polish arrived promptly. I have a trapezoidal hurdy gurdy which is a Paul Baker reproduction of an early 17th century instrument in the Royal College of music. It has been finished with Danish oil and it was looking quite tired but one coat of the Gilboys pure gold applied with 0000 wire wool and buffed with a soft cloth has left it looking like new. My playing of it still sounds dreadful but at least it looks good!

We’ve used this on our striped oak floor, and on restaurant tables. Easy to use dried within the stated timeframe and was easy to de-nib and recoat to a lovely smooth finish. We would highly recommend this hard wax.

Adore your products! The personal touch, Ian, adds to this. The scent is addictive, especially the leather balm which has renewed my Camel Stool seats.

Excellent product and service
It was a pleasure to deal with Gilboys. From the help I received from Simon via the website to the plastic free packaging and the beautiful presentation. The wax is easy to use with no nasty smells and the results were amazing. I cannot recommend highly enough.

This is the first time of using a Gilboy product and I would have no hesitation to use other brand items of theirs, should I ever need something different in the future. Everything went well, from ordering online through to delivery and as for the finish of the hard wax oil, it is absolutely fantastic; it has brought up the grain on the oak hand rails l've been working on, spectacularly! Review of Oxalic Acid Dihydrate Crystals 99.6% (100g)

Perfect for cleaning up reclaimed wood. Had some old oak decking with black stains on from steel screws. Used this on them to lighten them up and make the wood a more even colour. Took a bit of experimentation with how long to leave it and number of tries but got it looking really nice with lots of character.

Great that this is in powder form so you can mix up what you need when you need it.

Since then, I've tried it on some dark stains on an oak table. Worked really well and looks like new once sanded and polished.

Arrived quickly, well packaged, in no plastic, with a hand written note and a pack of sunflower seeds I'll plant next year. Really nice touch.

Saw a Utube demonstration on using hard wax oil which I’d never used before.
Seemed a good alternative to a laquer finish.
Very easy to apply and goes a long way. 3 coats allowing each one to dry. Got a perfect finish after waxing.
The folks at Gilboys were really helpful with advice and provided a very prompt delivery service despite me living out of the UK

Great stuff
Paired this with the oil for my kitchen unit tops and it’s turned out so well. I’m training in upholstery so have used the rest and can report I’m very happy with the bundle. Love how it pairs with the YouTube tutorials and the little booklet with tips which I’ve passed to classmates! Nice personal notes too which is sweet. Thanks guys

I refurbished a 25+ year old pine dining table, chairs and small cupboard to refresh our dining room. I painted the bases and chairs with Fusion mineral paint and used Gilboy's hard wax oil (2 coats) for the tops, followed by a single coating of Gilboy's Pure Gold beeswax and buffed with the fine wire wool and buffing cloth from the gift pack, to a lovely sheen. It feels so lovely under the touch and looks amazing. I put too much wax on and had to cut it back with the wire wool but after a bit of work it came good for a perfect finish. I love Simon's enthusiasm in his YouTube videos and will be ordering more products for future projects without a doubt! Highly recommended, oh and try the honey, it's fab on toast!

Products that ooze quality and are a pleasure to use.
I've just finished restoring our much loved kitchen table which has been through 35years of family life with us. I forgot to take a 'before' photo but it was in a pretty pitiful state after many years of service and abuse. I watched Simon's YouTube video on how to restore a pine table and followed it to the letter using Gilboy's hard wax oil and polishing kit. It went really well and was a very pleasurable and rewarding project. I cannot recommend Gilboy's products enough. They just ooze quality and work like a dream. Both the hard wax oil and the polishing waxes go on really easily , smell wonderful and do a brilliant job. I used the soft wire wool and polishing cloths that came with the kit and they were just the ticket. I also used the little scratch repair cube which was very useful and effective and easy to use. Even though I gave it several layers of polish there is still plenty left in the jar to use on other furniture which makes it really good value for such a quality product. Honestly I run out of superlatives but I'd come back to Gilboy's every time now without hesitation.
