Solid Team
Andre H. And Kevin F. were great today. On time, cautious with my things, and worked well as a team. I had two new guys Xavier S. and Makail S. They both helped take apart and put back my beds and seemed to be very helpful as well. My driver was nice and early, super nice guy, he was knowledgeable and brought a really nice dolly for the guys to use. I’m butchering his name but it was something close to Roger. My one main note would be to have them wrap as much as possible including your couches, they didn’t wrap mine and we ended up with some pretty bad black smudges on our white couch. A couple knicks on two wood tables, but it happens. Thanks!

Zero stars. This company absolutely screwed us. We used their online tool to determine number of movers + length of time for a complete loading for our 3600 SQ ft house + attic & garage, and then they set out the ticket for a studio apartment. We ended up having to get an entirely second set of movers, a second truck, and push back the close on our house. Both us and the crew called them over 20 times, and they didn't call back for 3 days. We had already booked the unloading for the move, so we proactively called in to ensure the same thing wasn't going to happen. SURPRISE! it was. We had to pay an extra $2k for the "missing" labor. They promised a call back with a credit adjustment - guess what never came? This is a corrupt, cruel company that exploits and screws its customers. But the men working it are hardworking and reliable. Do NOT use this company for any reason, ever. Book directly with the local fellas who are also being taken advantage of. Zero stars. These jerks cost us $8k, almost made us lose our house sale, and almost made us not have enough liquid funds for our house purchase. I fully give them the middle finger.

Management is terrible and they are cheaper for a reason
Movers did not show up on my scheduled move date and the company was unresponsive during it. Got it rescheduled for the next day and one mover said the company intentionally does not respond to existing customers because they already paid. Tried to request a refund from the company but they gave me barely any money and communication was just as bad. Bellhop might be a cheaper option, but it is like that for a reason. Go to a more reputable company to save yourself the trouble.
Bellhop took advantage of tornado victims
Bellhop showed up late with a truck that had a hole in the roof and a crew that couldn’t complete the job. Complained about the stairs and things being heavy while talking negatively explicitly about their earlier job that left them exhausted and two hours late to ours. If they had said they were unable to do the move as contracted we would have just rescheduled but what should’ve been a full service move turned into a 7+ hour mess. I’ve contacted support and legal multiple times with no real response after they charged me double the quoted rate. We were forced to move because of the tornado and already didn't have much fundraised for this move then to go from $800 to $1600 because of your workers having a bad morning is just insane! Filing with the BBB, AG, and small claims. Not worth the risk!
wayyyyyy too overpriced
A ridiculous price to pay for a subpar job. Did not wrap my belongings, scraped several pieces of my furniture on the ground as they were not strong enough to carry it the entire way so took frequent stops to set it down on the rugged cement. attitude was bleh. if you have time to plan ahead i would highly suggest using a different service.

My husband had to put on THEIR moving straps and move half of our stuff with one of the movers because the other mover was too tried and kept saying “he didn't give an F about any of our stuff.” And the other mover that my husband was helping, it was his first day. They were careless with our stuff, one of the movers was trying to convince me to throw things away so they didn't have to pack it in the truck. THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY!! We were told our rate would be adjusted because of our horrific experience but then they charged us $400 extra! I have been calling 10 times a day for a week and can not get a hold of anyone to solve this. We hired movers to make our moving experience less stressful before we moved out of the country and all it did was add 100x more stress.
By far the worst movers we have ever used.
The move was 2 Blocks from point A to point B. The movers not only did $1500 damage to the floors of the move out property (this was the repair estimate done by the company Bellhop recommended) then dented a less than 1 year old refrigerator, rubbed the finish off one side of a chest and totally ruined both pieces of a $5000 sectional sofa. I actually saw as the put the last piece of the sofa on a very wet, dirty ramp and SHOVED it down the ramp. By the time I could get to the door to try and stop this the damage was done. For all of this their settlement offer was $1942.00, including the floor damage repair of $1500.

If I could give negative stars I would. They told me less than an hour before they came that the movers they were sending couldn't do what I ordered. When I said I have PODS sitting at my house that are leaving and painters coming tomorrow they called back and suddenly the same moving team "could" do what I was asking. When I asked how she said well htey don't have that skill and aren't the best for the job but they can probably do it. Since I was stuck I said so then since I didn't get what I paid for I get a discount or something right? They said they would note it and see if a supervisor would call me back in a few days. Horrible experience. I am extremely stressed out because now I don't trust the movers to do what I paid for and feel like I have to watch them constantly.
UPDATE: After finally getting a supervisor ERICA blamed me for how I booked they offered no recourse or how to make it right and then I sent her a video of why exactly I booked how I did. She was very indignant and offered to send another guy at full price. UNBELIVABLE.
SIDE NOTE: Dante and Dom were awesome guys as movers and did good work. Everything else was a disaster.
This is a joke. I have paid for uhaul movers and thought I would give someone else a shot. At least U-haul is honest, communicates effectively and is cheaper

THEY ARE NOW CHARGING US MORE MONEY FOR THEIR MISTAKES AND FAILING TO ACKNOWLEDGE WRONGDOING.
Going with Bellhops has been a horrible, stressful, and demeaning experience. I cannot give a low enough rating. I am still in the process of disputing charges for their reprehensible, dishonest, disorganized, and time-wasting practices. We have gotten disrespect from every angle. It's been an truly awful company to deal with. I have never had this bad of an experience with any other company, in Pittsburgh or otherwise.
Several weeks in advance, we scheduled a large and time-sensitive move from the place we're moving out of to a shipping pod that will reach our new home. The shipping pod has a limited time window for dropoff. We're paying for the shipping pod and the quote was a couple thousand dollars.
OUR MOVERS SIMPLY DID NOT SHOW UP ON MOVE DAY. This is the day we paid a deposit for. This is the day we booked. We had them scheduled to arrive between 2 and 3PM. We got a QR code the night before so they could scan it when they arrive. They just never showed up.
When 2:30 rolls around, we call support to check in that someone's on the way. We cannot contact anyone. 3PM, still unable to reach anyone who can provide a reason or a solution. We were on the phone and sending emails until 9PM and they only could offer help the next day. Being backed into a corner and needing movers, we requested additional time with the shipment facility and re-scheduled with Bellhops. Quotes from next-day movers are of course much more expensive than a move we planned weeks in advance.
Movers showed up the next day (later than promised) and did move our things. I come to find that BELLHOPS IS CHARGING US MORE MONEY FOR THE NEXT DAY MOVE THAN THE PRICE QUOTED FOR THE DAY BEFORE. This NOT A RUSH MOVE. The only reason this is a next-day booking is because BELLHOPS MESSED UP and is failing to be accountable for this. I was offered $100 off as "appeasement" which is the word they used on several occasions. We took two full days off work. $100 compensation after several hundred were added to the bill is robbery and a slap in the face. Calling it appeasement like I'm being unreasonable is incredibly disrespectful. Moving is stressful enough. Dealing with unethical behavior like this should not have to be coupled with it.
A few years ago, we had successful and pleasant moves with Bellhops. Support was contactable, movers showed up on time, everything got done and everyone has happy. This is why we scheduled with them again. Very big mistake.
Since then, so many processes have been "automated" by a dysfunctional dashboard, glitching chat bots, and AI voice calls that are just incapable of solving problems. To reach a real human has taken hours and hours of calling and emailing, which is not something the user is getting paid to do. When we do get a response, it's been later than promised and a response only enough to punt the problem for the next scheduled contact which doesn't happen when promised again. We've been on hold for hours and hours and the music combined with the stress is enough to drive anyone to anger. The dashboard malfunctions more often than not and directs the user to contact customer support. The customer support wait line says the hold time is 4 or 5 minutes. Consistently, it was longer than 20 and then is directed to voice mail. The voice mail did not seem to be monitored. We did not get resolution to our problem after several calls. The only way to reach a human is to call sales. They will then try to put you on hold or send you back through the black hole of customer support that has not solved our problem. What a horrible experience that is still not resolved. BELLHOPS NEEDS TO CONTACT US and give us money back for the move they promised us, we agreed to pay for, and never happened. Shameful, dishonest, and what seems like an illegal bait and switch. NEVER NEVER GO WITH BELLHOPS.
Do not use this moving company
Do not use this moving company. We are sitting here waiting for the movers to arrive. We had scheduled a move for yesterday, May 15, well in advance and called to confirm. The move was scheduled for 2 p.m. At 12:20 p.m. my daughter received a phone call that they did not have a team and would not be coming. We were rescheduled for today, May 16 at 8 a.m. It is now 9:18 a.m. and after 2 phone calls to the company we have been told that they had to assemble a team and will now be here at 1030 a.m. We have taken off work, had to pack and re-pack and have had two of our planned days totally disrupted. We could not be more disappointed with this service. We have also been promised multiple return calls which never occur. Kim was helpful and I appreciate her assistance with this horrible outcome. I hope changes are made at the company so this never happens again to anyone else. I have asked for a discount - frankly we should have a free move. Now I have been told despite talking to customer service that I have to write an email.
Bellhop is a disingenuous broker
Bellhop is a disingenuous broker. I scheduled with Bellhop before a move and was surprised at how much they were charging. I thought they were top-notch, but I was wrong and horribly let down and disappointed. We had an emergency and attempted to reschedule over 48 hours ahead of our move. Their AI BOT was not helpful. Bellhop canceled the service and charged fees equal to the amount nearly equal to the original move quote. Simply shady and outrageous, they said I could apply their ridiculous fees to a reschedule. When rescheduling again, we were told that was not an option. No, thank you, never again. Trust me; you do not need Bellhop to find quality movers, save yourself the aggravation, or at least seek a reputable broker.
Moving an 83 year old woman with Alzheimer’s? Bellhop does NOT care.
Hired Bellhop to move a recliner, 3 pieces of furniture and two totes. We had to make significant arrangements to get my 83 with Alzheimer’s out of the home so she wouldn’t be further traumatized by the move into an assisted living facility. Move window was 2-3 - at 1:21 I get a text from the movers saying let’s try for 4:30. After trying to get the movers in the phone, some back and forth on text and again trying to get them in the phone, I get a message saying they’d let Bellhop know - whom never contacted me. We ended up getting a few pickup trucks to move ourselves while I waited for over 20 minutes on the phone with Bellhop Customer service to no avail; when I again called they transferred me for cancellations for which I was never able to speak to anyone; I submitted into their online inquiries form and have yet to receive a response over email or a call back. But they did swiftly charge my credit card. Stay away.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
I was quoted and contracted for over a week in advance, I paid for a full service with packing labor, got the quote, made payment and after a week I got an email saying they would not be able to provide packing labor literally 30 minutes before they showed up do to some error. I called Bellhop and I tried to explain what’s going on and that we need packers and that I paid for that. I even checked over the phone and got the same price online for the full service. I told them that this is nonsense that you need to take care of this and that it feels like a scam, they disconnected me then canceled my contract, the driver showed me it was chanced and the driver and 2 laborers all drove off and left us stranded with this move. We took a lot of care to schedule this. THEN after all this mess someone messaged me telling me it would be DOUBLE the cost to pack our stuff up. it’s just a 2 bed 1 bath apartment. I got move for less to take care of us for $990 vs the $1,600 Bell hop was trying to scam me. They refused to pay back the deposit. I have disputed this on my credit card. AVOID THEM 100%

Move4less really did a perfect job taking care of us last minute. I got my $ back from bellhop after disputing it on my credit card and bellhop refunded me in full. They did call me back to apologize but that was it. In the end their screw up cost me an additional grand and I also lost 2 days of work so in the end bellhop owes me at least the 2 days of work I missed to to this screw up. The people who called me to apologize was not actually bellhop. It was some overseas call center that makes calls for them.
Do not hire this company. You will regret it and it may cost you a few grand like it did me!

I appreciated that there was OVER-COMMUNICATION of what was going to happen throughout the entire process. They tell you the cost, when they will pull it from your account, etc. Just overall, a very organized process.
