System failed, never again am I using them
My brand-new air conditioning system (installed by them) completely failed during a 100°+ heatwave — right in the middle of my vacation week with my kids and our dog. You couldn't script a worse time for it to happen, and their response was inexcusable.
When I called for service, their call center rep, who clearly has zero real customer service training, tried to talk me out of booking a repair, claiming the system “just needed more time to run.” The house was set to 70°, stuck at 75°, and no cool air was coming out — because the coil had frozen. That required an immediate repair, not gaslighting.
I was never given a clear reason for the coil freezing — and based on their behavior, I believe they’re deliberately hiding faulty installation or internal mistakes. I was stuck for two full days with no working A/C, no updates, and a closed office that I physically drove to for help — only to find it locked, with a suspicious awning that says “Jersey Shore Paint Party.” No signage for Garon T anywhere.
After some digging, I discovered that Mr. Garon sold the business back in 2020 to a private investor — meaning all the “trusted local reputation” they coast on comes from a completely different era of ownership. You are not dealing with a legacy plumbing company. You’re dealing with a poorly run operation hiding behind a name they didn’t earn.
This wasn’t my first issue. Back in December, they gave me a 9 AM to 5 PM window for a technician to come, and when I called to get an update, they refused to narrow it down. The tech finally showed up at 6 PM. That’s nine hours of standing around my house, wasting my time, and pacing in frustration.
Bottom line?
I've lost weeks of my life to their lack of communication, professionalism, and accountability.
This latest experience — ruining our vacation, jeopardizing my kids' comfort, and forcing us to sit in our car for air conditioning — was the last straw.
Never again. I’m done with Garon T Plumbing.
