Flty item delivered twice and after service a disgrace

We visited the Hillington store in Glasgow in April to purchase some dining room furniture. Two of the items we purchased were floor models being sold off in the sale. As these were in immaculate condition we made the decision to purchase these and an order was placed for our other items. We received our delivery on 4 August 2026 and the glass curio is dented, chipped and scratched. I contacted Furniture Village’s aftercare team and spoke with Khadija who was very friendly and helpful. I have emailed photos we had taken when we saw the item and photos of the item now in situ and are awaiting a response. My three star review does not reflect the service I have received from the Customer Service agent but the disappointment at the damage that has been done to this piece of furniture. I will wait to see how Furniture Village will deal with this matter.

26 August Update
After several emails and phone calls was being told they were leaving me messages which was not happening on my phone. Have been advised they don’t offer a service to repair the damaged cabinet and I can either get a £250 refund or return the item.

Furniture Village aftercare service is shocking. Happy enough to take your money but have had to chase them for over 3 weeks and their options aren’t satisfactory given we have the matching sideboard……

Excellent service from Derek with glasses Derek was Great with the kids they even got a cookie 🍪. Staff friendly shop lovely clean ,I have bought furniture previously also had a good service however had to use the care protect castelan group not so good with getting back to you process should be smooth but not .
Anyway Derek thank you 😊.

Frances today was excellent in her service. She showed us many different options, for what we were looking for. She answered all questions well. We were very happy with our purchase today. She also informed us of the care package which was something we then took, due to small children, which was very reasonable.

I recently bought sofas from this store. I visited the store twice before making my purchase. On both visits, I was assisted by Jayne who was extremely friendly and helpful without putting pressure on me to buy something. I explained what I was looking for and Jayne gave me plenty of time to browse on my own. I found Jayne to be very knowledgeable about the products and I am very pleased with the choice of sofas I have picked.

We recently ordered a dining table and chairs in store, and Derek was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. He took the time to help us choose chairs that matched the table perfectly and gave us plenty of useful information about caring for the furniture after delivery. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Excellent customer service – we’re really looking forward to receiving our new dining set.

Gabriel was very pleasant and helpful in answering all of my questions in what was happening about the replacement fo my damaged sideboard.I would definitely recommend furniture village as there customer service and after care is of very high standard.I also have to mention the delivery driver's as they are so obliging and helpful, making sure everything is spot on before they go.

What an amazing store and staff!! Furniture Village was our first port of call to look for a sofa and bed, we had no real idea about what we wanted but from browsing had a rough idea, we didn’t want to jump into anything so shopped around and visited several stores in and around Glasgow but genuinely the products didn’t compare. We visited Furniture village 2 times prior to making an order and on each occasion the staff members approached us, chatted gave us their card but were absolutely not over bearing, just friendly and informative. On our third visit we met Frances who has a wealth of experience and knowledge, she went above and beyond in helping and guiding our choices but again, not pushy at all, helped us get what we wanted and needed, she called upon Victoria for some expert knowledge and guidance with the sofa and furnishings, Victoria also made several calls to get us what we needed. Frances and Victoria were genuinely helpful and did everything we asked and more. We are delighted with our purchases and cannot wait to receive them. Thank you and yes I can highly recommend and definitely will be back.
