For the past year and a half (that's how long I have been dealing with this), I have been requesting my security deposit of 3500.00 back from Fleetcor/Fuelman.
A year and a half ago, I called to request it, and they said no problem "we will put in a refund request to the refund department, it will take 4-8 weeks."
After not hearing from them or receiving my security deposit back I called them back after about 3 months after the previous call.
I spoke with a rep, and they gave me a song and a dance that they needed more information, I gave it to them and they said they will "put in a refund request, etc."
After not hearing from them again or receiving my check I contacted them again.
Again, they said they needed more information, I gave them information and they said the SAME THING AGAIN.
Forward another 3 months later on January 12, I finally got a hold of a supervisor, the supervisor assured me it would be sent and taken care of.
Today, 2/28 I called again to find out what is going on and they told me that they have not sent it out because they said I was not an authorized user on the account. REALLY? My name is literally on the account, I opened the account, the credit card has my name on the card, and it was my personal check(with my name on it) that was sent for the deposit.
So today, they said I have to send them a copy of my driver's license, and a copy of paperwork showing ownership of the business. If I'm correct, when I opened the account I already gave them my personal information, LLC information, etc. Wouldn't they have requested that info when I opened the account? They sure didn't have a problem accepting my check and cashing it. I sent them the information, I will probably have to call back again in a few weeks to listen to another "excuse" why they couldn't process my deposit back.
This company continues to lie, and delay so as not to return the deposit-which is theft
The better business bureau has 85 reviews and all of them are 1 star and all reviews have generally the same comments/complaints. If you look at Trustpilot, you will see there is a pattern also with the 1-star reviews. They must be proud.
I wish I had read the reviews before signing up for an account with this company.
UPDATE: It is 4/13/2023 and still have no refund or resolution from company. Once again, they said "check in the mail", but I have still have yet to receive anything. I will be closing my account. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!!!!!

Shady business practices!! I had a $600 limit with $200 deposit..My bill is 1067!! How??? You can never get a hold of billing, they put you on hold and don't answer or hang up after 45 minutes waiting!! I told them to cancel the account and fix the bill, they kept it open to occur more charges..7 months worth of charges and not 1 solution or attempt to fix the bill..DO NOT USE FUELMAN, THEY ARE CROOKS!! COLLECTION TOLD ME THEY WILL PUT IT DOWN AS A REFUSAL AND RUIN MY CREDIT!!! FAIR WARNING DRIVERS, DO YOUR RESEARCH..

Was told this was a prepaid gas card. Got locked out of my account couldn't make payment With a card had to give bank information. Stilled ended up having to pay at the end. If it prepaid then you should not owe the total I already prepaid you for. Rip off company seriously

This card has been a real convenience and happy to have it. As a loyal customer, my business has made every payment on time. The due date on January happened to be on a holiday. Payment posted a usual but this time I got slapped with a whopping $83 late fee because offices were closed. The agent apologized and told me the payment got delayed in the processing and there was nothing she could do about reversing the late fee NOT EVEN ONE TIME FOR PERFECT PAYMENT HISTORY! I usually don't deal with cards like this and I never expected to be treated as such. I've never been reviewed for upgrades or anything. I'm still on a charge and pay on full on 10 days rule. My credit score is 743. I pay may bills on time, PERIOD! I am asking for a one-time fee reversal for being in good standing with his card. Is there anyone on this company for supporting long-term business relationships anymore? Or is EVERYTHING all about getting that dollar by any means necessary?

What a joke! Received an email that there was possible fraud on our business card. We turned off the card immediately, but unfortunately there were numerous charges before it was caught ($1,200 total). Fraud department does not care, they will not refund any of the charges we are disputing, and wont even take the time to listen to us. They are the ones that noticed the fraud, but at the same time they will not accept any responsibility for it. We have never missed a payment, and spend $250K a year with them. They don't care. Find someone else!!

Your billing system is dated. It is not easy to pay your bill. I have been trying for 2 days to pay on line without success. I contacted your office this morning and received a person that barely speaks English. After I answered her host of questions, she still could not help me. So I filled out an inquiry like I was a new customer. I got a call immediately from someone that speaks English. She was disappointed to learn I wasn't a new sales opportunity. Just like a salesman, she couldn't answer basic questions about your billing system. She offered to transfer me to someone that could help. She transferred me to the automated attendant that got me no where.
I don't think it is too much to ask to be able to speak with someone that knows your system, can communicate in English and help me PAY YOU!
As of February 22, 2023 I have yet to hear from anyone. I see the comments about late fees. You have to pay this bill immediately upon receipt to avoid this from happening.

This company overcharges for the use of their card. The accounting systems do not "talk" to each other and never show the same amount due. If you are one day late with payment; they start calling from 10 to 9. In one day I had 26 calls from them.

The representative was very pleasant and easy to talk to. I thought I may not reach anyone as it was late on a Saturday. But, the customer service representative answered and asked what he could do. He understood my concern and worked immediately to solve it. He was able to fix the problem within minutes. Outstanding customer service!!

I wish I could write a no star rating. Worst customer service. I put in a request to be added as an administrator and they sent it back saying I didn't have all the information, I was only missing the phone number. I resent it 2 more times and no response at all. Then I couldn't log in and put in a help request for that, 2 weeks later I get an email that since I am not listed as an administrator I need to have the owner contact the. I also found out that they were marking up what the pump said vs. what they charged us 8% to 10%. We stopped using the Fuelman card.

Worst customer service. Can't understand your request. Manager's don't act like they want to help you. Disconnect your calls after you have went through a lengthy explanation. We can't even add driver's correctly to the fuel cards. Our account has been messed up for 6 months. I would not recommend them to anyone that has a decent fleet and relies on their fuel cards.

This company have the worse customer service ever, they are very rude and no desire to help the customer, we close the account on 12/20/22, they supervisor that the call got escalated to never did we had to call back because the card being on hold and block they where able to be use, on 1/4/23 i called the account got close, a manager was supposed to call me to do an adjustment on the account, still waiting, i will never will recommend this company to anyone, a completely nightmare since we open and close the account, o pay attention to the bill the will over charge.

My company has been using Fuelman for years. It was never a great company to deal with due to poor customer service but we continued to use them because I didn't have the time to research other options. Recently, it has become even worse. Our cards expired and Fuelman did not send new cards. Their website is terrible and extremely behind the times compared to other companies. There is no option to request new cards on the website. I called three times to try to get new cards. The first time I was on hold for over 2 hours, then got a message that they were busy, and call back another time. The next two times I was on hold for over 1 1/2 hours, then it just hung up. In the meantime, I tried to email customer support but got a reply saying "Undeliverable". We were not using the cards for a month because we still had not received new cards, yet I still get a bill for a "fraud protector fee". Every other credit card company includes fraud protection at no cost. Fuelman recently "upgraded" their website but actually made it worse than ever. Now it rarely allows us to log in. After entering the username and password, it goes to the multi-factor authentication screen. We select the method we want to use (text or email), click to get the code, and get a message saying "Unable to process your request. Please try again." It takes numerous attempts before it finally sends the code. Unlike other companies that you pay monthly, Fuelman requires payment every 2 weeks, which becomes a hassle to keep up with. And if you want the bill to automatically draft so you don't miss a payment, they charge you yet another fee! If you ever do reach a person at customer service, they're rude and belligerent. I finally got fed up and canceled the account. I definitely would NOT recommend using Fuelman.
