This is the second time my Free People order has been marked as “delivered to mailbox,” yet no package was actually received.

There is no proof of delivery provided — no signature, no photo, no GPS confirmation. Despite this, Free People refused to issue a refund, stating that the order was “delivered.”

What’s more concerning is that they suggested I “change delivery preferences next time,” even though there is no option on their website to choose a different carrier or delivery method.

When a company controls the carrier selection and delivery fails, the responsibility should not fall on the customer. This appears to be a repeated issue with the same carrier.

I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled and would not recommend ordering unless a secure delivery method is guaranteed.

I would say a majority of my orders never arrive. I have to call and have items reshipped. I love the cloths and the stores do not have all the items on their site. They need to fix the shipping issues! UDS IS The absolute worst

I ordered 2 x pairs of Dungarees as separate orders at £108 each, and when I received them, the tag was still in place for my second pair, ‘£88 or 108 euros’. So I was overcharged by £40 in total. I contacted them twice, even have a transcript confirming the proof and have been ignored with my complaint as still not dealt with. I will not buy from them again and will report them! Still waiting for my third reply. Should never ignore unhappy customers ....

Lost my parcel and didn’t inform me about it. I had to chase it several times and the customer service isn’t very helpful at all

I bought jeans from this store, but they sent me a completely different pair — a totally different product. Now they’re saying I can’t return it because it was a final sale. What the heck?

Ordered an item from FP only to receive an email at 4am telling me my order was cancelled because they were "unable to reach me to verify my account information"? Yet I had no emails or missed calls from them. I then call to find out what the deal is and the customer service representative tells me that the item is sold out. I tell him that I'm looking at the website at this very second and can see that it's in stock. He says the website is wrong and if I reorder it it will just be cancelled again. What's the point of having an online store if it's unable to provide accurate information about what stock is and isn't available?

J'ai commandé un pantalon sur le site du royaume uni. Mon colis est resté très longtemps en douane et lorsqu'il est arrivé la taille M était beaucoup beaucoup trop grande ! j'ai demandé à le renvoyer mais c'était à mes frais et très compliqué ! Je n'achèterai plus sur ce site !

I tried to order items on 27th Dec that had an extra 40% discount that was supposed to be added during checkout. This didn't happen so i contacted customer support. They refused to honour discount even though they could see i had raised the issue on the day the promotion was still on. The customer service was poor, i.e only received answers to my emails once a day at best, so query has dragged on for 11 days only now to be told no.

I'll literally never give this company a dime of my money again. I have had multiple experiences where they mess up my order and then give me drama about getting a refund or an exchange. For the cost. The customer service is literally bottom of the barrel. I will spend my money elsewhere.

Horrible customer service! Received an email giving me a $100 gift card do to damaged clothing received! Then would not honor it! Then put a restriction on my account! Which I am thankful for because you can find the product cheaper at other places than online from them! Tahiti cargo $150 with shipping! Found at nordstroms on sale for $69 free shipping! Thank you for restricting me from buying anything do to your incompetence! I saved so much money in the long run!!

I will never purchase from Free People again. They caused issues by canceling one of my Christmas gift orders right before the holiday, which already upset me. On 12/26, I bought a skirt at their Nashville store in the Mall at Green Hills. After returning home over three hours away, I discovered the theft deterrent was still attached to the clothing. I contacted Free People to ask for guidance, since there are no other stores nearby—only a location in Nashville. They refused to assist and told me to reach out to the store where I made the purchase. I simply wanted help with their employees' mistake, but they refused. The Nashville store is the only place I bought the skirt, yet they tell me they can’t do anything and that I must go back there—over three hours away. Their customer service is useless.

Over the period of 3 days I tried to check out my basket but it kept reverting to the US site, therefore not allowing me to pay and ship to a UK address. The customer service team did not answer the question 'why did this happen' and in the meantime, those items I spent time adding to my basket were no longer available. Having reached out to customer service explaining the situation and sharing a screenshot of the error message when trying to check out, I simply received a response saying 'sadly there is no guarantee that items in your basket will be available at the time of purchase'. ... after 3 days, I'm not surprised!

- noone has identified why I couldn't check out;
- noone has acknowledged that I have lost out on items that were available at the time I added to my basket.

They either have pretty poor customer service policies or simply don't talk to each other/review records.

They didn’t deliver the item and said they did and then refused to replace or give me a refund. Awful awful company, avoid at all costs.

Do not give these people your money. I ordered an eGiftcard for my wife's Christmas present. A week later it still hasn't shown up despite several assurances that it has been successfully delivered. All their other communications about offers and sales seem to arrive without a hitch but not this one, surprise surprise. What is even more galling is that there was a sale on sale at Christmas but now the items that my wife wanted have gone back up to their (in my opinion) exorbitant price. What a bunch of con artists this bunch are.

What has happened to this company? There are already a plethora of complaints about how the quality of the clothes has dropped significantly, and nearly every customer has learned that their customer service is terrible. BUT NOW? They have dropped to a new low without any forewarning to customers. Their sale on sale events? Completely non returnable now. FP sells most of their clothes online meaning that you can’t even try on the majority of the styles they offer. And because there is SO MUCH INconsistency in sizing with this company, now once you purchase the once (for example) $500 jacket you have had your eye on at an additional 50% off? The sale is FINAL. If it doesn’t fit or is cheaply made? Tough. You are stuck with it. I had been a 25 year customer of FP until the past year. In addition to having a CEO who donates to far right PACS, the clothes are almost all polyester, look cheap, fit poorly or inconsistently, and online customer service is horrible. I think this company is almost assuring its own demise. I’m betting that most customers who just scooped up the 50% off items for the after Holiday sale did not even notice the FINAL SALE note when checking out. Let the outrage begin.

I purchased a pair of Free People
Outlaw Jeans on cyber Monday. When I wore the jeans for the first time two of the metal snaps on the corner of the pockets fell off! free People is not an inexpensive brand, I expected better workmanship and quality for the price. I love the jeans and the fit, but I am a disappointed customer and left with a poor first impression of Free People merchandise.

I ordered a gift card to be mailed to someone 11/13. The recipient did not get it . I chatted with customer service 12/1 and asked them to void the card and mail another. They said they would. The recipient still did not get it.(address was correct) I text chatted again 12/18 asking for it to instead be emailed. I was told it would and a verification email would be sent to me. There was not email to me to verify. 12/20 texted again. I was told then the original gift card was redeemed on 11/21. Not one customer service person said that in the previous chats. They gave me the order# against that card. The name on the order did not match my recipient, hence the gift card was stolen. They admitted that the order against the gift card in fact did not match the name of the person. I sent it to. They have no policy in place to help you if this happens! I was told to call my issuing credit card to put in a dispute. Which I did.

Ordered on Wed November 26th, Still haven't received December 20th. Contacted on December 15th and they will replace. Still have not reshipped. Takes several days to get an email. Ordered something else on Dec 18th (get it by Xmas!) (I am stupid), still has not shipped December 20th. Do NOT count on this store to ship anything on time. Why I keep going back (clothes are awesome), is my own stupid fault.

I wish I'd read reviews before I bought anything. Firstly I bought a coat for £228 (which is still hanging up with tags on and has the cheapest lining - kind of a flimsy cotton which grips your clothes) and the deal is that they send you a £50 voucher two weeks later.

I immediately used the voucher and ended up getting the wrong colour because every time I added the beige jumper I ended up with a photo of a pale pink and an item described as "Silver Peony" in the basket. I removed it, started again. Eventually, after several attempts at putting the beige in the basket and getting Silver Peony, I assumed the 'silver' referred to the beige and the photo was a generic one for all colours.

Today the pink arrived. I contacted Free People via Live Chat and asked to exchange it for the correct colour. The answer was No, I had to place a new order and I couldn't use my voucher as it had already been used.

Since starting this review I've looked at the item of clothing. No way is this jumper worth £88. It looks very, very cheap and I realise I'd have returned it anyway.
So beware of apparently generous offers, don't expect any interest from customer services, and take note of the poor quality of Free People clothing.
