Foodpanda has started charging card and stealing people's money without giving order or any permissions. The are scamming their users

This review aims to bring awareness to a concerning practice I encountered while using Foodpanda's online food delivery service. While Foodpanda offers a convenient platform for ordering food, I recently experienced an issue that raises serious questions about their billing practices and customer service.

The Issue:

During checkout, I encountered a payment processing error. When I retried the payment, the system removed previously applied vouchers without my knowledge or consent. This resulted in a significantly higher final price than originally anticipated.

Contacting Customer Support:

Upon contacting customer support, I was initially disappointed by the use of generic response templates that did not address my specific concern about the missing voucher and overcharge. After being transferred between multiple representatives, I finally received an acknowledgement of the issue. However, the resolution did not involve a refund for the additional amount deducted.

They would not refund my money despite the restaurant failed to deliver a coke. They said no refund will be provided. They are fine until something goes wrong. Wouldn’t trust them

Uninstalling Foodpanda, not sure if it's a policy for them not to do a refund if the order is wrong but it really defeats the purpose of having customer service even after telling them there's missing items / wrong order. Might as well abolish them... Its also my first time writing a bad review, usually I don't but this takes the cake.

God dam it still need to give minimum 1 star lol!

Once again fked up the orders didn't deliver the orders, sent 1/4 of what was ordered, didn't do sh!t about it, couldn't care less. ( In total I would say more than 6 times now)

Here's the best part is 2 times today 3 hours apart.

Guys I don't know about you, but I'm done with this MF useless platform called Foodpanda with their Pandamart.

Such a huge scam, can you imagine how many orders that were not fulfilled and customers like yourselves trust them so much you won't check each item ordered ? They will charge you anyway and if you did check like myself, they gonna do a refund and tell you it won't happen again and then maybe offer you a $2 voucher for your next order, and then you decide why not give it another try, and you place a new order, with a delivery fee of $4.29 or whatever the amount is, so you still pay an additional $2.29 for the mistake of Pandamart and then they FK up your order all over again and this cycle repeats itself. $2.29 per order, wow imagine how many orders a day, a month. We practically paying 50% of the commission the riders earn for Foodpanda.

What a fkg joke!

First time used foodpanda to purchase products from Giant and it is evident that they are an unethical and unprofessional company. Foodpanda deducted the full amount for the items i ordered however after a while i received the email notification that some of the items were not available which turns out to be the beginning of a nightmare. Assuming that i will be refunded automatically, i waited for a week however, there was no sign of any refund amount in my bank. I tried to find their contact number but realised that there is no number so
they are like a scammer company. I had to deal with an unprofessional online customer service who was not able to find a quick solution. He kept repeating that the amount has been refunded to my pandapay account and that i have to go and request in the application itself to have the amount transfered back to the same mode of payment. I kept telling him that i do not have the application in my phone and that i ordered via the website. However even after multiple times, he was not able to tell me that i can do the same in the website as well. He had to transfer to another CS and finally after multiple messages back and forth i was told that i can do it via the website. The refund amount is 50 dollars and it is not a small sum. After doing the needful i now have to continue to wait as it may take 7 days or more for the bank to process. I will never use foodpanda ever again. I have heard a lot of bad feedback about this platform however lesson learnt after using their service once.

This complaint is on the poor merchant support from Foodpanda where our store was setup without a unit number. This has resulted in riders not being able to locate us. I initiated a live chat using the Foodpanda merchant dashboard. The agent, Mfaisal acknowledged the problem and agreed to update it. A few minutes later, he told me that since I'm not the owner, he couldn't update it for me. I told him it was an obvious mistake that should be fixed and I was the one who helped setup the account. I tried reasoning with him but gave up eventually as he just refused to listen. He would rather have more riders not being able to locate the unit then to have it fixed to help his own company. This is simply stupid!

Poor customer service, they sent me rotten plums and then refused to refund it. Then the agent ‘Chris’ just ended the chat on me. Very poor, buyer beware!

BEWARE SCAM!

TERRIBLE and essentially robbed. Charged for food and never received delivery.

I am staying at a hotel, I confirmed the address and provided my room number. I honestly believe this service is a scam..

I even paid extra for direct delivery.. I did receive a “robo” caller from the company, but hangs up before you can answer, you can’t text and then cancel the order saying they couldn’t reach you! 😡 the email address provided for customer service conveniently says

Proof of delivery shows different address from mine. Yet when I complained the agent insisted that I provided the wrong address. I have proof that I have provided the correct one but they refused to acknowledge their negligence. Bad service, irresponsible rider

Ordered my pizza through foodpanda app waited for 6 hours and try to cancel it through the app but can’t cancel it. Ordered the pizza 6pm received around 12 pm which is really cold.

Shocking customer service. Missing items in delivery not refunded. Delivery to wrong location not refunded, rider tip not refunded. Chat line pointless. App deleted, will not use again.

Order from Redhill mart previously. Was ok. When I ordered for my mom while I was travelling she said the avocado and sweet potatoes all spoilt. Ordered dinner on my way back from my trip. Their App hung but the charge went through. No food delivered. Told the bank and FP not to charge me but they did. Said refund 14 days but I don't know which planet days they use as still no refund.

Worst delivery rider without brain. Hanging the food on my door hinges which made it impossible to retrieve my food without dropping the food. I have to ask my neighbor for help

I placed the 1st order for Soon Heng Cake (Compassvale) via Panda App for $23.19 on 6 January 2024. I approved the Citibank payment on my phone App and says successful but when I returned to the Food Panda App, payment still shows pending and spinning, waited for quite a while, nothing happened. Then Panda App said waiting for payment so I cancelled order when it took forever, my card got charged the $23.19 later.

Then I tried to place 2nd order for Soon Heng Cake (Seletar Mall) via Panda App for $23.49 on 6 January 2024. Same thing I approved the Citibank payment on my phone App and says successful but when I returned to the Food Panda App, payment still shows pending and spinning, waited for a while, nothing happened. Then Panda App said waiting for payment so I cancelled order per App, my card got charged the $23.49 later.

The 2nd order got delivered 1st and the 1st order about 20 -30 minutes after 2nd. I contacted Panda customer on the website and chat with the lady. Lady apologised and said will feedback to the team. I told the lady I wanted a refund for the 1st order $23.19 that got delivered later, happy to pay for the 2nd order $23.49 that got delivered 1st . I explained that because of their App misleading that payment was not received resulted me having surplus orders. Lady said could not do anything else for me and exited the chat very quickly. Be careful when you use Panda for card payments, no way to get refund, the App has issues when it comes to payment.

Kept stalling and when questioned as to why a delay of 2 hours the immediate knee jerk reaction was to cancel order. Zero empathy towards customer. Avoid.

Another platform that leaves you stuck if the vendor can’t deliver for whatever reason. It really amazes me that we, the customers, are always expected to commit to ordering up front and have no recourse if the vendor decides not to porticoes the order for whatever reason. Maybe they are in a bad mood, oh what the hell, just don’t fulfil the order and cancel after two or three hours, leaving the customer empty handed. It’s all one way traffic and the customer doesn’t seem to matter at all.

It’s a complete scam, Foodpanda Singapore is by far the worst delivery service in the country. There are missed items which they refused to refund - this is literally a theft. Terrible experience, they are simply scammers.

Theif, Foodpanda is literally stealing from people. Worst experience ever, they scam people with refund status in the order history and they change it as soon as you chat with them. Never use them. Not secure.
