Farmina are Liars! New formulation is TRASH!
New formulation is TRASH!! Farmina are liars. While boasting 'no meals' and only 'fresh ingredients' they are getting 1000s of lbs of meals and synthetics to their US manufacturing plant. They have not notified their customers of the new trash ingredients and fillers, and not including those ingredients on the cheap slap on ingredient labels. Just despicable practices.

Farmina Prime Lamb & Blueberry dry cat food
I have been feeding Farmina Prime Lamb & BLueberry to my cats for years. The latest 3.3# bag (purchased at a local store) made my two cats sick. One developed severe diarrhea, vomiting, skin itching, and eventually inappetence. The other developed bad smelling flatulence and also inappetence. Their coats dry and experiencing alopecia. After trying different things to help them with no improvement, I decided to look into the food aspect. I was surprised to find many pet owners have been reporting problems with Farmina dry food - about the Farmina that is specifically "made in USA" apparently with a new formulation, notably using ingredients such as hydrolyzed fish, pork fat, meal, natural flavors, etc - and when I looked at my bag, I see that it is labeled "made in USA", ugh! I immediately stopped feeding the Farmina Lamb & Blueberry and voila, my kitties are improving. I will no longer feed Farmina. It was absolutely terrifying seeing them suffer and not knowing what was wrong. Thank God I figured it out before it was too late for them.

There is something seriously wrong with…
There is something seriously wrong with this brand of kibble! I've been feeding their N&D Prime chicken & Pomegranate cat food to my cats for over a year, but it makes them vomit almost daily. The vomit isn't hairballs, it's kibble and liquid. I'm tired of finding cat vomit on the floors, furniture, window sills, my bed, rugs, the catio, etc. & having to clean it up! It's a waste of money and probably torture for the cats when they're constantly vomiting it up. So last week I quit feeding my cats Farmina & switched to Instinct Ultimate Protein & some Nulo kibble I'm trying to use up. Guess what? I haven't found one single pile of cat vomit since I quit feeding Farmina to my cats!
I bought six 11 lb. bags of kibble from Farmina 11/28/25 & the bags are stamped "Made in Serbia". However, I belong to the Facebook group 'USA-Made Farmina Pet Food is Making Dogs and Cats Sick', and one of the administrators has been tracking shipments to their US facility. According to the Bills of Lading posted in that group, it appears that Farmina has been LYING to customers about the quality of the ingredients as well as some of their countries of origin. There have also been reports of 'Made in Serbia' labels being put over 'Made in the USA' labels. So, I don't know if I got kibble that was made in the USA or in Serbia. Regardless, it seems to me that they have probably been lying to us all along about their high quality ingredients and instead they're using some low quality ingredients, ingredients from China that could contain heavy metals, pesticides not allowed for use in the US, and other toxins. I want a refund for the four unopened 11 lb. bags of kibble plus the 2 lbs. left in an opened bag. I can't in good conscience continue to feed this brand to my cats when it makes them vomit!

This brand was somewhat decent . Unfortunately, as of 2025 it is no longer the same product. They are producing the food now in the USA and have changed the formulas. They are imported minerals from china and their ingredients are subpar now. They are lying to their customers and im sure you will see some nice response to my post saying different. Peoples animals are getting sick now because of this. There is a dedicated Facebook group regarding the nonsense Farmina is carrying on with now. Don't believe me, search it?! What happened to being truthful and producing a quality product? The employees who know this is going on, along with owners, should be ashamed of themselves. I bet they will wake up once it starts to really hit their pocket. Again, Farmina save the "we're sorry" response to me. I don't want to hear it. Your product and reputation are so far gone nothing will bring my dollars back to you. 5 years of feeding your food!

I've fed Farmina for years and…
I've fed Farmina for years and recommended it to all my puppy buyers however with the horrible downgrade in quality I have switched and will tell all my puppy owners to switch also and NEVER recommend it again. We knew the quality would end when they announced the factory in NC but they assured us the quality would not be compromised. Liars

Voer goede kwaliteit. Klantenservice kennis slecht.
Het voer is van goede kwaliteit. We hadden hondenbrokken voor medicatie/maxi honden. Aangeraden door de fokker.
Ik had wat vragen en heb telefonisch contact opgenomen met Farmina. Als je de app hebt dan heb je een eigen 'voedingscoach'. Mijn hond is allergisch voor kip en o.a. zijn ontlasting ging steeds maar niet goed, erg dun. En andere klachten.
Dus ik heb gevraagd waar écht GEEN kip in zit. Ze noemde o.a. Pumpkin Lam en Ancestral Lam, daar vertrouwde ik op.
Er zit dus wel kippenvet in. Wat ik jammer vind is dat ze zo Fancy en interessant doen met 'persoonlijke voedingscoach' etc. Terwijl ze er weinig van weten. Dus nu zit ik met open zakken voer omdat de zogenaamde voedingscoach die heeft aangeraden. Jammer. Toen ik vroeg om retour te sturen kreeg ik alleen een link dat ik contact op moest nemen met weer een ander bedrijf.
Ik wil echt het beste voer voor mn honden en ik wil daar ook voor betalen maar dit vind ik gewoon echt heel jammer.
Als ze aan de telefoon had gezegt 'ik weet het niet' dan is dat helemaal prima voor mij, dat vind ik fijner want dan had ik zelf meer onderzoek gedaan of ergens anders nagevraagd.
En nu heb ik dus een hond met rode liezen, jeuk oren en diarree. Thanks Farmina.

Bedankt dat je de tijd hebt genomen om je ervaring te delen. Wat vervelend om te horen dat jouw hond klachten heeft gekregen en dat je je niet goed geholpen voelt door ons advies. We begrijpen heel goed hoe frustrerend en teleurstellend dit moet zijn, zeker wanneer je bewust op zoek bent naar de best mogelijke voeding voor je hond.
Je hebt gelijk dat in sommige voedingen, zoals N&D Pumpkin Lam en N&D Ancestral Grain Lam, kippenvet verwerkt zit. Hoewel kippenvet doorgaans geen eiwitten meer bevat en daardoor vaak wel geschikt is voor honden met een kipallergie, begrijpen we volledig dat dit per hond kan verschillen en dat je juist expliciet had gevraagd naar voeding zonder enige vorm van kip. In dat geval hadden we duidelijker moeten communiceren over de samenstelling van de producten. Onze excuses daarvoor.
Daarnaast vinden we het jammer om te lezen dat het retourproces voor verwarring heeft gezorgd. Het bedrijf waarnaar je bent doorverwezen is onze distributeur, die de retourverwerking voor ons verzorgt. In de praktijk werkt dit vaak sneller en efficiënter dan wanneer wij daar als tussenpersoon tussen zitten. We begrijpen echter goed dat dit op jou kan zijn overgekomen alsof je werd doorverwezen zonder verdere hulp, en dat was zeker niet onze bedoeling.
We nemen je feedback serieus en zullen dit intern bespreken met ons voedingsteam, zodat we onze begeleiding verder kunnen verbeteren. We wensen jouw hond uiteraard veel beterschap toe en hopen dat jullie snel een voeding vinden die goed aansluit bij zijn of haar behoeften. Mocht je nog advies willen over voedingen zonder kippeneiwit én zonder kippenvet, dan mag je uiteraard altijd contact met ons opnemen. We denken graag met je mee.

Very bad customer service
Definitely I do not recommend customer service from Farmina Netherlands. This Company do not appreciate new customers. They promise a 50% discount for a new customers for a first purchase. In the end, when you request that, you hear it doesn't apply for you anymore for no reason, just because. So this is fake discount on which they try to get new customers. Also do not recommend consultant Tessa because she lies!
