Had a issue with my car phoned up this morning spoke to a lovely guy called Sean asked me if I can bring it up to have a look if any parts was needed within 15 mins of me being there he located the issue and fixed it great customer service great support 100% recommend

Booked for mot as my garage was full... and they tried telling me it needs £1500 worth of work done!! The guy told me he wasn't going to allow me to drive my car away from formula one as dangerous, I said I would get RAC and he stumbled said ok, I took my husband and he changed his words and voice and said hes not legally allowed to keep it but if I drive im uninsured and I may get £2k fine, I called my garage and they told me to come down straight away, they said it needs a few things but definitely not every single break like on the list !!
These people were Trying to rip me off and changed as soon as my husband was there !

My car showed low tyre pressure warning and so I left the motorway and saw this place. Ryan checked my tyres out and reset the warning and didn't charge me. He is a total hero.

I have been using F1 autocentre in West Quay Southampton for over 15 years and I can't praise Dusty enough for his willingness to help me solve a particular problem with my GLC. In fact any of the guys there are always helpful and address me by name as I come into the reception. So happy with the service received they now have my daughter as a new customer on my recommendation. Thank you.

I booked a Full Service and MOT for both mine and my wife’s car. Mine went in a few days before my wive’s. I get a call to say that my car needs £1200 worth of work, but they could do it for about £800. I asked how much would it be to get it through the MOT and this came to about £600 which I agreed to.

Roll on a few days later, my wife’s car goes in. I’m called to say that it needed lots doing to it, just under £1000’s worth. I kept asking what had to be done, and kept being told a list of defects and that it all needed doing. It was very hard sell and it was made clear the work had to be done. I asked what it failed the MOT on, I was told that they hadn’t MOT’d it, they said they like to service it first so they can get the car sorted to prevent an MOT failure. Makes sense, but they didn’t do this on my car a few days earlier. I asked why and was told different managers do it differently. Having already spent over £1000 on the 2 cars I said I wanted it MOT’d and I’d look around for other quotes on the work.

When I collected my car, to my amazement, it had passed the MOT, with only a few very minor issues noted… so it didn’t actually need any work doing! When I got home and properly looked at the paperwork, they had failed it on the MOT for no washer fluid. Which they then topped it up and passed it on a retest. So they either lied to me about it not being MOT’d before the service or didn’t do the service correctly before MOT, as the washer fluid top up was part of the service I paid for. Now I have a fail when I shouldn’t have!

The whole experience reeked of dishonesty with pushy upselling of unnecessary work! Makes me wonder if there was actually anything wrong with my own car, but I’ll never know now. I recommend you avoid this centre - Formula 1 Auto-centre, Hedge End, Southampton

I booked a MOT using their online system where I was debited but they’ve appointment didn’t get booked. They did rearrange it but at a more inconvenient time which meant loss of earnings. The Hedge End branch has had a faulty ramp for 6 days and then tell me a day before my MOT which also happened to be the expiry date of my current MOT. I made a complaint to be reimbursed of my loss of earnings due to their errors and received NOTHING. I spoke to the area manager Chris who was not interested in the slightest. I hung up and then was called back to say they refunded my MOT and have CANCELLED it as it was in their best interest, knowing full well that my MOT expires the following day. I will never use this company again!!!

I would never use this garage again. They failed my headlight on MOT due to cover being yellow. Charged me £80 and quite clearly no difference when I picked car up. Had tyre replaced and they did not put back my wheel nut covers & tried to tell me all 4 must have fallen off when I drove away as I didn’t notice after I washed my car some days later… yeah right! Also tried to steal all my metal dust caps by replacing them with plastic ones! At least I noticed that before I drove away and insisted they put mine back. Also car servicing… they DO NOT do everything that is on the list that they give you after. Cowboys!!! I see from other reviews that I am not the only one that is being screwed over like this. Head office….you need to take serious action at this location!!!

I needed a new tyre on my daughters car on a Saturday morning as she had managed to slice through it, initially they said they were to busy , when I explained she desperately needed the car, the fitted it in as an emergency, what a service.
I have also had full sets of tyres for my Mustang 5.0l, ST3 & ST220, they are the best value also.

Have been going to F1 for about three years, and each time the staff have been friendly and professional, they have given me good advice on the things that I needed to know, price wise they are very competitive, I would highly recommend them.

had issues with previous mot station but went to formula 1 in west quay ind estate southampton who sorted all the problems within 2 hours great service guys thank you and will definitely be returning in the future

Ordered tyres 4 waited 2 days to come in at the hedge end store then told need to book to fit them.so waited another 2 days staff very rude and when finished and went to car noticed 8 wheel nut covers missing and was told they were missing when brought car in which I assured them they werent then they found 4 on floor by Jack's wouldn't recommend if you want good customer service.i am also ringing head office also as think this needs addressing

Easy to book car in , competitive pricing and friendly staff, but I wouldn’t use again for a car service . We only ever used a dealership to service our cars before, but recently got an older 2nd car which didn’t require a dealership service. After researching the best places to go we decided on f1 In hedge end, reviews seemed positive and their list of what checks/fixes were included In their full service seemed competitive . Plus it was convenient location to husbands office . However, a few days after getting the car back and we noticed the tracking was off by quite some way, called them and they did take it back in and rectify it. The following day drove the car again and the engine coolant light appeared. This is something listed as they check and top up in a full service, but clearly didn’t. I don’t have time to bring it back again and we are now sorting this out ourselves.
I won’t use again for a service as I don’t feel they checked the car fully .

Booked Wednesday but because of staffing issues I had a choice of a two hour wait or come back tomorrow, no phone call or email beforehand I just had a wasted journey.

Friendly staff - they explained the MOT advisories in simplistic terms.

F1 in Hedge end has always been the place I booked for mot and service， brought in again, and thank you for the new management keeping the top service.

Do not get your MOT done here. Absolutely awful company at every level of service.

It was an easy experience and good communication.

Good work, but just LOTS of waiting on the day.
A little bit nervously ordered my tyres online (what if they don't fit?) - initially just rear tyres and booked a date and time - a Tuesday at 10.45am. After getting my car serviced elsewhere, I was recommended to get the front tyres replaced as well, due tracking wear on one side. I couldn't add this on to the original appointment (a bit annoying after phoning them specifically to ask) but had to book it as a second job. LUCKILY I managed to book the very next slot after 10.45am - so in theory, all good.
On the day, I turned up 10mins early to be told they only had 2 tyres delivered, sorry! Will have to come back again. Not pleased, so they double-checked and after a hunt around they found the other 2. Phew, back on track! .....and I know I've booked the next 2 slots so this should be a doddle..... not a waste of my time.
But no, they were already running one hour late (and all of this by just 10.45am in the morning).
So, I was told to come back by 12.30 and it would all be done for sure. Came back at 12.30 and it wasn't done for sure!
Finished at 1pm - due in work by 2pm - so all quite stressful in the end.
As a summary then, it is a little nerve racking buying your tyres online when it will (to some extent) rely on your own ability to read off the many numbers on the side of your existing tyres. The booking-in system makes you feel like things will run to time on the day - but no, its just as bad as in the old days i.e. turn up and hang around for 2 and half hours. If you think Dr's appointment, you'll be mentally prepared:)

Had an appointment booked in at the Eastleigh branch for 17:00 but was swiftly turned away at the front desk as they had taken on more work and could now not fit us in.

Not happy!
