We did not have all the information to make a correct decision for a non-refundable booking. Have lost $751 AUD as a result. If we had known that the dog would need to be in a crate and $35 per night charged, we would not have booked them. Utterly disappointed with no offer of at least a partial refund. Will not use this again, even if not travelling with a dog.

Ad very misleading as I asked for motels in Brisbane Queensland. I am an aged person and ended up paying for a USA unit. Putting those rooms first instead of what was asked for was misleading and you have robbed me of over $2,000. Are you going to refund me

Prompt responses and great request for experiences at venues booked also find Expedia very competitive in fact usually less expensive than other sites.

I like Expedia! I know I can trust the bookings I make. The app is very easy to navigate and it gives you options of lower priced flights on different days on the Calendar that you can switch to.

Hotel said they'd double booked and to cancel the reservation.
Went to book another hotel and previous hotel had availability.
Still yet to receive refund

As usual, booking with Expedia was seamless, easy and complete. All the information I needed was there.

For me and my husband it is great we live out bush and there for when we get the chance to go away we try and book through expedia we find its easy simple and that pretty much us. we like he point system you guys have and for us that is good everything is very far for us. we prefer to do all our booking through you guys.

The booking process was complex, it didn't allow me to select my seats and later on I had to contact the carrier directly to try to solve the problem, but because was booked not directly the whole process ended up very complex

Stayed 13–16 September in a twin room with private bathroom.

My room had several issues that should have been identified before check‑in. There was a strong musty odour from the moment I arrived, the air conditioning did not work at all, and the light above the bathroom mirror was broken.

When I reported these problems, staff were polite and tried to help, but I was told that no on‑site maintenance was available, so none of the issues could be properly fixed during my stay. I was also told they would see if another room was available, but at no point was I offered a confirmed alternative room. Given the hostel’s high occupancy and the fact I was already in one of the few twin rooms, this seemed unlikely.

The air conditioning problem was only discovered the next day because the instructions I was given to turn it on didn’t work — the unit itself was faulty.

I requested a partial refund due to the smell, the non‑functional air conditioning, and the broken lighting, but this was declined on the basis that I had “refused” an alternative room. To be clear: no confirmed alternative room was ever offered.

The staff were kind throughout, but the room itself was not fit for purpose and clearly had not been checked before being allocated.

Never trust this website. It may be a scam designed to take your money.

I purchased a flight ticket 31/7/26 through this website, but they failed to provide the ticket. I have contacted them more than 12 times on different days to request my refund.

Every time, they told me to wait another 3–5 business days. It has now been almost two months, and I still have not received my money back.

What is even more frustrating is that they refuse to give me a clear date for when I will actually receive my refund. They keep telling me to contact the support , and then give me another excuse or ask me to wait longer.

It must have been good otherwise I'd remember how bad it was

Terrible experience. I received repeated calls and emails regarding my booking that appeared so suspicious and scam-like that I genuinely thought someone was trying to scam me.

The most concerning part was the complete lack of responsibility and proper management from Expedia. Instead of taking ownership of the situation, investigating it properly and giving me clear and reliable information, I was left dealing with confusing and contradictory communication right before my trip.

For a company handling people’s travel bookings, accommodation and money, this is simply unacceptable. Customers need to be able to trust that communications about their bookings are legitimate and that Expedia will take responsibility when something goes wrong.

After this experience, I have no confidence in Expedia as a booking platform. The customer service and handling of the situation were terrible, and I would not trust Expedia with an important trip again.

A travel booking platform should give you peace of mind, not make you question whether the calls and emails you receive about your own booking are genuine.
