I booked my car in for service & MOT weeks ago, only to find out it hadn't gone through on their system and they couldn't do it for another month. I told them that my MOT would run out by then, and the guy said it wasn't their problem. I have it on a service plan, which covers both the service & MOT, but again, not their problem. They told me to book elsewhere.
Don't bother getting a service plan or booking online, as clearly they don't value it. I've been a loyal member for years so very disappointed to get such a terrible response this time.

It was my first time at Evans Halshaw Leeds. and the combination of fantastic staff enhanced my experience and more so they did what they said they would do.

Always use Hyundai Leeds for Service /MOT. Great team, regular comms and car is cleaned and tidy after the visit. Book early though as strong demand for appointments which speaks volumes!

Terrible service, I will be raising a formal complaint with head office. Selling dangerous cars, openly admitting to not even inspecting vehicles prior to sale!

Looking to purchasing a Pug 2008 which was advertised with 41k miles, a private number plate and full service history. What transpired was that the car actually had 46K, no private plate, and the full service history was a collection of 'stamps' with no business details on them, the same stamp can be bought on eBay for £15. Took days to get a video, then the excuses start rolling 'admin error' for the mileage -then claiming the valuation would still be the same with the increased mileage - which we all know is rubbish, I even did an Autotrader valuation myself showing there was at least a £500 difference, and giving me a load of spin about why the private plate they advertised it with was not included. Sure, they can't do anything about the service history they were presented with when they took the car in, but you would think they would want to do something to manage the disappointment and their errors right? Wrong, they had no interest.

My feeling is that they advertised it with lower mileage and the private plate to get the attention, and then once you're through the door and left a deposit, they start changing things to the truth rather than what you were told you were buying.

When asked instead of a monetary value deduction because of this, and to have the warranty extended from 3 to 12 months, a very fair and reasonable request given what had happened and the questionable service history , they refused outright.

They then went and relisted the car a few minutes later with still the incorrect mileage and incorrect plate and not mentioning the spurious service history! This was a real sign that they do not care about their customers, they will lie to one and then continue lying.

Massive waste of time so beware dealing with them.

They kept me up to date with everything that was going on, and after the car service, they watched and hovered my car, which I was very grateful

My wife and I attended Evans Halshaw Hyundai Leeds on Saturday 15th March. We were dealt with by a lovely young lady Eliza Ward. Throughout the visit Eliza was just brilliant in all aspects of her dealings with us. We initially agreed a deal but after having reflected on it overnight we decided not to go ahead. Eliza was very understanding and it was left that we will be making a further visit to the dealership in 12 months to discuss a new car with her.

Eliza at Hyundai Leeds, was absolutely amazing helping us with our purchase f our new (used) car. She was extremely patient with us and had a lot of respect for our needs. I wouldn’t hesitate to return here for future cars

Hyundai Leeds were excellent, the salesman Ian Kershaw was really helpful, not pushy and gave us really clear information enabling us to make a decision about a new car.
Ian is very knowledgeable and did the best he could for us to get the best deal

If you are considering purchasing a Hyundai from this garage, please do not expect quality after-care, good communication or anything that is promised in their sales pitch!
It seems from reading the 1* reviews that people have similar experiences!

After sales team are unhelpful, lack knowledge and do not follow through on what they have said they will do. Hyundai assist are an absolute joke, the communication between the customer service department, Hyundai Assist and Evan’s Halshaw is abysmal and no one seems to know what the other is doing!

Cannot begin to explain the appalling customer service we have received from this garage. We cannot wait for our contract to end with them, will certainly not be purchasing another Hyundai and will not be recommending Geldard Road Evan’s Halshaw to anyone.
