Essentia billing staff incompetent
I am giving Essentia one star because you can't write a review without one. I would prefer to give them none. I have been trying to get a billing error corrected by them for 6 months. I went to their urgent care after receiving an animal bite, which required a series of rabies shots. The urgent care clinic could not provide the additional shots needed, so I went to their main clinic in Park Rapids. I informed the registration person, and each nurse that I saw what each shot was for. It was a post incident treatment. They keep submitting it as if I was getting a vaccination, which my insurance doesn't cover. A shot for treatment is covered. My insurance has covered all of the other shots, but for some reason the morons can't seem to get it right for one of the shots. I have spoken to at least 5 different people about this. Each assures me it will be taken care of. It hasn't. I'm wondering if all of the staff is as incompetent as the billing people. I may need to switch to Sanford Health.
