An amazing experience
An amazing experience. Great customer service and brilliant communication. Booked EPC at 8 am, the assessor was at the property at 12:30. Received the certificate at 14:30. Thanks, Lewis you did a splendid job. Will definitely use again.

Appalling and unreliable customer service
I booked online and paid two weeks ago for an EPC assessment. Less than a week beforehand they rang and cancelled saying I was out of their area. They would refund the money but it would take 7 to 10 days. I booked the day off work as leave for this and cannot change it, so how do I find another assessor on such short notice to accommodate me on that exact day?
The website has an 0800 number and makes no reference to only covering a small geographical area. Why does the booking system accept an address if they can't accommodate it and why does it take a fortnight for them to tell you?
Really horrible service. Now I have to find another assessor and try to find the money for a second fee until I get my refund.

I am sorry to here that you were disappointed in your EPC visit being cancelled. Unfortunately as mentioned by our office, we don't cover your area. This happens very rarely if Google shows our website in areas outside of our area coverage.
Although you had taken the day off, there is still a week before the original booked date. You should have no trouble in finding a local assessor who will be able to accomodate you. Just go to https://www.gov.uk/get-new-energy-certificate and enter your postcode.
If a job is cancelled, we inform Square, who is our payment processor, to issue a refund straight away. The delay is due to the banking system between different banks. Most major banks refund the customer in 3 to 5 working days.
Again, please accept my apologies if this has caused you any distress.

Was a bit sceptical at first but within 30 minutes of starting the process I’d received a call. I chose the express option. The evaluation was arranged for the next day and by the evening I’d received my report. Excellent service, thank you.

Great Company and Service
I made an appointment with Energy Smart for an EPC and they were able to accommodate me the next day.
The engineer Rickie Dickson arrived on time. He introduced himself and explained exactly what he would be doing and how long it would take. He was respectful of the property and took care as he conducted his work.
At the conclusion Rickie explained the how and when l could gain access to the report online, which in fact was the same day.
I was very impressed with the professionalism of Rickie, he is a credit to Energy Smart.
I highly recommend!
