I used to speak good of this place. Over a month the place looks like it’s running down. Equipment has not been working for over a month. The ladie showers are disgusting. Mould around the showers, when standing in them you definitely need to wear something on your feet. Where the water runs down the drains are gross. Full of muck and hair .

Went back on Friday 6th September. All the equipment back to working, and ladies showers looking a lot better. 😀

Recently joined well equipped and friendly staff.. really appreciated..

Colchester Branch not open again at 6.
Waited the normal 40 minutes and with the other 30+ members and those waiting for the a class. No show by staff!
Second time within two weeks, this month!
If the members are motivated why aren't the staff.
You've put my membership up my £5 a month for an worst service.
How about putting a contact number on the door so we can talk to someone!!!!
No good trying to speak to the manager left a message on the answerphone - no one got back the last time!
Dont bother going here so many gyms nearby that bother to open!

Gym is great but over the last 6 months we are often left outside waiting for the gym to open.
Been using the gym for over 2 years and this is starting to become annoying.
Opens at 6am which helps my schedule and it's currently 6:30 and nothing.
Your going to lose the 3 memberships from my household and likely others who are here 7 days a week.
SORT IT OUT!

Great customer service and the right plan was identified for me as opposed to the most expensive.

The gym has plenty of equipment.

I am really struggling to gain motivation to visit energie. I have visited a few times but can’t get used to it. Early mornings are busy and so are evenings and it’s constantly adapting the routine or workout you have planned. There are a lot of school children at around 4 and that can impact your workout as they group around the machines. Two classes often happen at once and it leaves no free weights available to those who aren’t in the class.
When I have managed to go during quieter times I’ve enjoyed my workouts. It’s convenient for me to get to and will continue to try and find motivation to go

The staff are very welcoming and supportive.

Energie fitness Colchester poor management! Joined in November 2023 and 4 months later I still can’t book the classes 10 days in advance that I have been paying for. The manger hardly ever replies and staff make you feel like you are stupid when they call to tell you you are trying to book a fully booked class! I’ve emailed all the evidence, sent a complaint email to Harlem themselves to which I received a response to say their emails aren’t monitored. When I ask about leaving my 12 month contract I receive no acknowledgement what so ever! I darent cancel my direct debit in case of come back for failing my side of the contract yes they have failed me for the past 4 months! Terrible management, terrible company to deal with! The only positive is the staff themselves work hard and provide great classes (when you can get booked on to them) I also get spammed at least 5 times a week with offers that others take up and can book their classes in advance what they pay for.

Good price but the gym itself is average. It does the job, but is very dirty, would recommend anyone using plans to shower at home. Machines are also always dirty, and not the most modern. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming and the classes are good.

Amazing atmosphere, loved all of the classes that I’ve tried apart from the cycle class on a Wednesday 🙂 staff are outstanding ♥️

Lovely friendly gym, feel very comfortable there a good mix of classes too.

All the workers know exactly what they’re doing and the way they render their services are awesome and professionally.
I really do like the place because it’s not cloudy with clients and you really feel’s like working yourself up at home. Truly it’s amazing.

All staff are friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend for anyone who's looking to start gym as it is not overly busy and everyone else I've spoken to in there has always been helpful.

Friendly and helpful staff, knowledgable in all training methods. Good advice always available. Outstanding personalities.

So, I'm a fat, middle aged, socially awkward, swamp witch of a human being who tends to avoid humans wherever possible. As I'm sure you can imagine, heading to the gym wasn't something I was looking forward to.

Since joining I've been consistently impressed. The staff are super friendly and non judgemental. The facilities are great and they clearly take pride in keeping the place Spotless.

Great gym! Really glad I took the plunge.

Didn’t discuss joining fee at the time just the £26 monthly fee. Then got £56 taken out of my account 2 weeks later after joining
