I had to arrange a last minute booking for a mini bus for pick up the next morning. I didn't think I would find any company that would respond given the last minute request. Thankfully I found Emu Coach Hire! Nick was truly great and responded quickly and efficiently which made communication so easy. The transfer went smoothly! Booking process was quick and easy with their timely responses to emails.

The transport provided (14 seater and 20 seater) was very comfortable. Seats were comfortable.
The 20 seater bus had reclining seats which made the drive more comfortable. There was enough room in both to fit our luggage
and sports equipment.

Great communication about our booking.

Especially our short notice request for transport from Coffs Harbour to the Gold Coast when our original transport had to cancel.

We also used Emu Coach Hire for transport from Brisbane airport to Coffs Harbour for our Samoa Tag Men's 20s team to play in the International Tag Series.

Also drivers Jeff and Cliff were friendly and accommodating.

From the moment of first contact to our final departing of our bus for a full day trip to two venues and home, we were treated exceptionally well by all staff. We were always met earlier at the pickup points than the times arranged. The coach was extremely clean and well maintained. The drive was very smooth and comfortable. When we had special requests, everything was provided. While the quote was the lowest, nothing was amiss and we only received the highest level of service. We only have the highest of praise for Emu Coaches and will be looking forward to procuring their services in the future.

We got to our first stop ahead of time and the driver was back 15 mins early to take us to our second stop which was right on time for lunch, really couldn't have gone better. The driver had a good playlist too.

Overall my experience with Emu Coach Hire was neither positive nor negative.

Was made to pay a $300 security bond to cover the cost of allowing passengers to have 1 open alcoholic beverage each on the coach. This, for some reason, meant that we were not allowed to have the radio or some sort of background music playing on the coach as this is then classed as a ‘party bus’. Someone explain to me how 1 beverage and some background music is classed as a party bus?!

When I called Emu Coach Hire to discuss this I was met with a very unpleasant customer service employee who was rude and blunt. They insisted that this is normal procedure but when I questioned why this was not something that is mentioned in the initial email received when submitting an enquiry, I was then questioned “then why didn’t you ask us before you booked the coach?”

When the bus arrived to the event (20 minutes early) the coach driver called me 5 minutes to departure time stating that he will be leaving at 8:00pm. I rounded up the group and met the driver to explain to him that there was a 15 minutes grace period after the departure time to ensure all guests are in the coach. He continued to say “well I have been here for 30 minutes, how long do you want me to wait?”. Like it was my issue he arrived 20 minutes early. After showing the coach driver the email stating the grace period, he agreed to wait.

Bus trip was smooth and there were no issues. Bond refund was given within 2 business days. But will not be booking with this company again.

For a service they insist is ‘flexible’, ‘professional’ and ‘effortless’ it was very far from that.

We used Emu Coach Hire for a winery birthday party. Their rates were easily the most competitive we received, and the service we got from booking, to event completion was first class. Our driver on the day was also a star!! Thankyou.

I used Emu Coach to collect my extended family from the airport for an event.

Everything went super smoothly and they told me the driver was really friendly and helped them all with their luggage.

My family and I are from the Philippines and we had a great experience with our tour in Sydney. Driver was 15 mins early for the pick up and was very polite. Kudos to Emu Coach Hire. Will definitely recommend you to my Filipino families there in Australia.

I would rate today's experience with my rental coach 2.5 stars out of 5. It is as high as this due to the friendly and capable driver. Unfortunately, the bus was very worn out with the Air Conditioning system breaking down in the middle of our full day trip in the Yarra Valley high heat of 31 Degrees Celcius today. The back of the bus became so hot that my mother, brother and our friends had to leave the bus and take the train back home to Melbourne from Lilydale train station for fear of a heatstroke. On top of that the door kept opening on its own due to a mechanical malfunction.

I honestly think this hire is not worth the nearly $800 I paid for it. Blessed our driver Deepak for trying to fix the vehicle issues and all the efforts of apologizing to us for the discomfort. But the bus is definitely due for retirement and makes me not want to deal with Emu Coach Hire ever again.

I was also disappointed by the lack of communication leading up to the day of pickup where I had to call the office to find out if my coach was there. Not being provided the driver's number by the company made coordinating difficult.

Would not recommend! Find any other bus company to book with.
No customer service after not providing the paid for service, instead arguing that a bus arriving 30 minutes late to pick up wedding guests as a replacement service for a broken down bus with no communication as to arrival time is a suitable delivery of their service and refusing to provide a full refund.
Communication is lacking, often taking weeks to respond via email. These guys couldn’t care less.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with our recent bus trip to a concert, which was managed by the company Emu and driver Jack Shu. The entire trip was a mess from start to finish, and I would strongly advise against using their service. First, our bus was 45 minutes late to pick us up. This delay caused unnecessary stress, and we missed part of the concert as a result. But the frustration didn’t stop there. At one point, the driver, Jack Shu, started threatening to call the police over unopened drinks we had on board, which was completely unreasonable. We weren’t causing any disruption, yet he treated us like criminals. To make matters worse, Jack also threatened to charge us an additional $220 because the bus had to stop for a brief break. This felt completely unjustified, and I’ve never encountered such a lack of professionalism or understanding on a bus trip. Overall, the entire experience was stressful, poorly managed, and left us feeling more frustrated than anything else. I would not recommend Emu for any future trips, and I certainly won't be using them again.

Our driver came 35 minutes late then our driver then abruptly abused us for unopened cans and a slab of beers, which then made us 45 minutes late and threatened to call the cops on us which made everyone unsettled leaving us arriving late to our music event 1hr late
