I wish to express my gratitude to the EMA crew of Sam and Julie, who managed a hospital appointment visit for me with such professionalism and competence.
This was my first experience of using a private ambulance service and I was unsure how it would all pan out. I need not have worried, the entire experience from booking to execution was first class, and Sam and Julie put me at ease right from the moment they arrived to pick me up and subsequently delivered me back home.
The ambulance itself was spotlessly clean and well equipped, it arrived at my property right on time, and the crew operated in such a way as to reassure me I was in good, friendly, capable hands.
As someone who has mobility and balance problems, I would have no hesitation in recommending this company and the service it provides to anyone who has concerns about the logistical aspects of fulfilling a hospital appointment.
My grateful thanks to all concerned.

Excellent service. Due to the failure of the NHS service I had to make a last minute decision to arrange transport for my disabled wife to her pre-booked dentist appointment. The booking process, including the instant payment method, was painless and a definite time of arrival was given. The ambulance arrived on time with the requested two nurses and my wife was transported to the dentist as planned. The two accompanying nurses, Sophie and Julie, were very professional in every aspect of the process, from the beginning to completion of the transfer. I can certainly recommend this company, especially if you require professional medical transfers urgently. Although the company is based in Dorset, which did increase the costs, it was worth every penny as the whole experience was faultless. Other companies should take note as professional business ethics and positive reviews are the key to success.

EMA have been brilliant for us today, moving my bed-bound and frail father from his house to a nursing home. Steve and Justin turned up in good time, were compassionate and communicative, and did an excellent job of getting him downstairs to the ambulance and then ensuring he was comfortably set-up in the care home. Customer service were also very helpful on the phone getting everything organised. Thank you so much!

I just wanted to share the excellent service I received in the transportation of my 101 year old mother from Newton Abbot Community hospital in Devon to Springfield House Nursing Home in Cobham, Surrey.

Both of the ladies who I spoke to on the phone, Michelle and Lisa could not have been more helpful as I had to postpone the transport on one occasion and re-book a few days later.

I would also like a special mention to Steve T. and Sophie who drove and escorted Mummy up from Devon to Surrey; they were kind and extremely patient and caring especially due to the fact my mother was very deaf and suffered with dementia.

The Doctor was amazed she survived the journey at her age.

Unfortunately Mummy passed away on Boxing Day but at least I was able to visit her twice a day whilst she was here.

Steve & Jade made our trip so very easy & ensured that Margaret - my step Mum, was very comfortable & felt safe throughout ..

Sam and the team at EMA offer a fantastic service. I have met Sam a few times and their support for people to and from care homes is so great.

EMA recently provided transport for my husband between two nursing homes. They provided a very professional, caring experience from booking the transport to the transport itself . Well done .

I used EMS to transport my 98 year old bed bound mother, to a care home. From the outset EMS were helpful and informative. The two people who did the actual transport were considerate, patient and mindful of my mother's needs. The whole operation could not have gone smoother.

Myself and my sister would like to thank EMA for the exceptional service they provided when transporting, Jenny, our elderly mother to her new care home. From the moment Steve and Neil arrived, their professionalism, warmth, and genuine care put us at ease during what could have been a stressful transition.

Steve and Neil were not only incredibly skilled and efficient but also kind, patient, and compassionate. They took the time to ensure my mother was comfortable, reassured, and safe every step of the way. Their good humour and friendly demeanour brightened the day and helped to ease her - and our - anxiety.

We were dreading the day of the move (and had cancelled an earlier appointment) but Steve and Neil’s calm and caring approach made all the difference. They treated our mother with the utmost dignity and respect, and for that, we are truly grateful.

We highly recommend EMA to anyone in need of professional and empathetic care. Thanks Steve and Neil and to everyone at EMA for going above and beyond—you are a credit to your profession.

Have used EMS before,10th Dec 2024. So we re-booked. We again enquired if possible they could help me be transported to and from RBH. As before it was clear that everyone was totally committed to helping me as much as possible. Michelle for organising my transport, plus the three staff that were sent, they are worthy of the highest praise imaginable. From putting me at ease, doing everything to minimise any discomfort plus reassure me at all times to and from the hospital that myself and my husband were safe. The three people were Steve H, Steve T and Sophie. I would definitely recommend EMA one hundred pecent.💯👍

The booking itself was smooth and someone called me back quite quickly. Before arrival I was contacted to confirm arrival which was reassuring. Arrival was prompt on the time specified. More importantly the transporters were very patient and kind which is important in any stressful situation. Travel was smooth despite the busy and bumpy roads which I appreciated. On the whole a very recommendable company which I will definitely be happy to use again if needed.

Excellent service from start to finish. Driver Julie and Passenger assistant Sam were very friendly and put my dad at ease through the whole journey. Very thorough with their assessment and professional. Well recommended.

My mother needed to be transported from hospital to closer to her family. There was a slight mix up with the dates/time but very quickly addressed by Lisa and Matt, who looked after Mum really well, and transported her to her new nursing home. They appreciated that it was a big move for her, and gave her that necessary attention to reassure her.

EMA Patient Transport was recommended to us by a friend who recently needed to move her father from the north of England down to Devon. When we needed to transport my elderly parents from London to Devon we got in touch with EMA. What excellent service! Prompt, efficient, professional. We instantly felt that our family were in good hands.
The team at head office were so friendly and were able to accommodate all our various requirements - no mean feat with two 90+ year olds! The transportation team instantly set our parents at ease and they enjoyed their journey.
We would heartily recommend EMA to anyone needing to relocate elderly or infirm relatives.

My mother has advanced motor neuron disease. I was mostly impressed with the care and kindness with which Allan and Paul handled her from the moment they collected us from Gatwick Airport to the moment they helped her
onto her bed at home.

They went out of their way to make sure that the journey was a comfortable one and I have no hesitation in recommending this business

Today Steve and Steve moved my father from Luton to Devon, they both were fantastic from the word go. The travel was stress free and they took all the worries I had away. Couldn't recommend them more. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The ambulance arrived on time having already called ahead with an ETA the crew ( Matthew and Neil ) were professional, friendly and very kind. The whole process went smoothly without any problems which was just what we needed in the difficult situation we had found ourselves

I recently used EMA to take my dad to hospital from his care home for an appointment. EMA honestly couldn’t have done any more to help and reassure him any my mother. Worth every penny and will be using them for the next appointment.
