I cannot recommend Dr Toby Nelson and Maxine and all the other staff highly enough. Dr Nelson was incredibly kind and attentive, he listened carefully to my skin concerns. The facial laser skin rejuvenation treatment on my face has addressed all of my concerns and more. The results have way surpassed my expectations. Dr Toby Nelson is a true expert in his field.
Maxine also was also very attentive and quick to respond to any of my questions. Maxine ensured that I felt completely at ease throughout my entire treatment.
After care and follow up have been fantastic!

I was very suprised to be told that the small spot on my nose was a BCC and it needed surgery. I saw Dr Toby Nelson, who at the initial consultation, recommended I have Mohs surgery, which would involve a small skin graft. I attended Wood MediSpa in February 2026 and from the moment I arrived everyone I met was very friendly and helpful.
Dr Nelson and his small team were excellent, keeping me informed and reassured all though the procedure. (We also laughed a lot - which suited my personality!). It now nearly 5 months since the surgery and I am delighted with the result. The skin graft has healed perfectly and is unnoticeable. I am grateful I was recommended to Dr Nelson for Mohs surgery and thank his for kindness and expertise.

After having both my children via C-section and breastfeeding, my body really took a hit and my confidence dropped significantly. Despite trying everything with exercise, I couldn’t restore my core or return my breasts to how they were, and I developed stubborn fat and lipomas on my thighs that simply wouldn’t shift.
I had heard excellent things about James McDiarmid, who has a long-standing reputation in Cheltenham and is widely regarded as one of the best surgeons around. I decided to go ahead with the mummy makeover package with James in March, followed by liposuction and lipoma removal with Michael Mouzakis in June. The procedures were thoughtfully combined, with fat transfer from legs used to restore natural fullness to my breasts that followed my mastopexy in March,  which made a huge difference to the final result.
From the moment I arrived at Wood Clinic, I felt completely at ease. The clinic itself is beautiful and tranquil, and the level of care and service from every member of staff is exceptional. James and Michael are true experts in their field, and the nursing team are simply outstanding – by my second visit they felt more like friends than anything else.
The entire experience has been nothing short of wonderful. I felt supported, cared for and completely confident in the hands of the team throughout. Most importantly, the results have been truly astonishing. I feel like myself again, and my confidence has been completely restored.
I honestly couldn’t recommend Wood Clinic, James, Michael and the entire team highly enough.

My experience with Wood MediSpa surpassed all expectations and my results were better then I ever imagined possible. The care both during my surgery and post surgery was incredible. I had 360 torso liposuction with skin tightening and I would never have achieved the results through exercise and diet that the surgery has given me. I am writing this just two days post surgery. I have had Vaser Liposuction on my lower limbs as I have Stage 3 Lipoedema. My surgeon was Mr. Mouzakis and he has done such an exceptional job. I can see such a difference already. I did extensive research looking for the surgeon I felt I could trust with my well being and felt truly fortunate that the one I felt drawn to and who has specialised expertise in Lipoedema was at WoodMediSpa just under 2 hours from my home. In addition to the exceptional surgery procedure performed by 'Dr. Mooz', I was astounded by just how many first class clinicians took care of me on the day and for my overnight stay. I knew I was in safe hands and in danger of sounding like an Oscar winning actor I do feel I wish to thank all those who supported, cared and fed me: Michael Mousakis Surgeon, Louis Anaesthetist, the wonderful Theatre Nurses Hilary, Tasha, Della, Bella and Ella, Kevin Hospital Orderly, Ward nurses Alpha, Jenny, Denise,Kelly and Chloe, Mandy and James who organised my procedure, Ed, Holly and Mel who were an integral part of my consultation process where I was fitted for compression leggings, had a full body scan which showed how much Lipoedema I had and Manual Lymphatic Drainage treatment which is so important as an on going part of managing this condition. Rachel who was there to welcome me on the day when nerves were getting the better of me and not forgetting Ryan and Alfie who I didn't meet but who fed me the most delicious meals. I did mistakenly refer to my room on the ward as a hotel as the location is simply stunning. I will be back for phase II as soon as I am able. Highly recommend.

My experience with my breast augmentation was 10/10. James was amazing of course, made me feel at ease with his calmness haha!! I would recommend woodmedispa to anyone, the nurses were fab and the food unreal! Thank you all.

I recently had a procedure and wanted to share how positive my experience has been from start to finish. From the very first consultation, I felt listened to, well-informed, and completely at ease. The entire team demonstrated a high level of professionalism and genuine care.

A special mention has to go to the nursing staff, who were absolutely outstanding. They were incredibly friendly, approachable, and always happy to answer any questions I had—no matter how small. Their reassurance and kindness made a huge difference, especially on the day of the procedure and during recovery. It’s clear they truly care about their patients’ comfort and wellbeing.

The aftercare has also been excellent, with consistent follow-ups and clear guidance that helped me feel confident throughout the healing process.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my experience and results. I would highly recommend Wood Medispa to anyone considering treatment—they really go above and beyond to make you feel supported every step of the way.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience at Wood Medispa.
Firstly, I visited for a consult on recommendation and I was sold from my first meeting with James. He made me feel so completely at ease and I had complete confidence in him and his work.
Nothing was too much trouble and he was available to discuss the smallest details with me when I was having a mini panic before surgery.
More importantly. The results. I am THRILLED and since having my breast reduction, it has amazed me how many people have piped up saying that James had been there surgeon also! Which just speaks volumes about how highly regarded he is.
My stay at the hospital was perfect, and don't get me started on the food. NHS hospital food this is not (god bless the NHS of course)
And every single member of staff was exceptional - special mention to the gorgeous nurses that looked after me post op and I salute James and Will for my fantastic breasts. I feel 25 again (well, my boobs do)

I went in for a deep plane neck facelift and chin implant, fully expecting a slightly daunting experience. Instead, it felt more like being handled by people who quietly know they’re very good at what they do.

The surgeon had that rare combination of precision and restraint, no overselling, no theatrics, just clear reasoning and a plan that actually made sense. The team struck the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth, which made the whole process far less intimidating than I’d imagined.

Recovery wasn’t exactly a spa break, but it was well managed and never felt chaotic or uncertain. Every stage felt considered. Wood is just an amazing zen place to be, the grounds food, ambiance, wonderful.

The result is the real highlight, refined, natural, and just structured enough that people notice something’s improved without quite knowing what. Exactly what I wanted, James truly is gifted, the team were amazing.

I had a full “mummy makeover” including a tummy tuck, diastasis recti repair, hernia repair, as well as a breast lift and augmentation with James McDiarmid, and from my very first consultation, I knew I was in safe hands.
On arrival for surgery, I was understandably a little nervous, but every single person I encountered put me completely at ease even the receptionist, who kindly lit a log fire while we waited, which was such a thoughtful touch. The theatre team were equally reassuring, helping calm any last-minute nerves with their warmth and professionalism.
My stay on the ward was just as impressive. The care was outstanding, and I have to give a special mention to Zoe and Holly, who were incredibly kind and attentive, always checking in and making sure I was comfortable. They even made me a delicious coffee with toffee syrup, which quickly became my favourite little treat!
I stayed for two nights, and I genuinely didn’t want to leave... the food alone was second to none.
Now, at 6 weeks post-surgery, I’m healing really well and absolutely thrilled with my results. My confidence has completely returned, and I feel like myself again. It’s truly been life-changing, and I’m so grateful to Mr McDiarmid for his skill and care.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this team to anyone considering similar surgery.

What can I say about James McDiarmid at the WoodMediSpa - just don’t go anywhere else! I had such a fantastic experience from start to finish and travelled nearly 3 hours to come here specifically because of the reputation. I had a full tummy tuck with breast lift and stayed in for 2 nights. First of all the theatre staff were just wonderful - Hilary, Bella, Kevin and Louis and really put me at ease. The staff on the ward specifically Holly and Zoe just were so lovey and made the whole experience extra special. The food was out of this world and I’ll be honest when it was time to leave after the second night I didn’t want to be discharged. Mandy was also so helpful when booking everything and communicating via email. The results of my operation are just life changing and the recovery was so smooth and I really feel that’s down to the expertise of Mr McDiarmid. Thank you so much!

I have recently recovered from a brachioplasty (Arm Lift ) and Ear lobe repair and reduction with James Mc Diarmid at Wood Medispa it’s early days in my recovery but I’m delighted with my results so far !
This is the third time that James has operated on me and I would recommend him to anyone ! His attention to detail is outstanding, he explains everything in a calm reassuring way and puts you fully at ease.
The team at Wood are so kind and attentive, nothing is too much trouble any questions or concerns I had were always answered quickly and treated promptly.
I only wish I had more time to try the wonderful food offerings as the menu looked incredible !
