I gave James Clark at Egypt Escapes a brief as to the group holiday I was seeking. He delivered everything in a most professional manner and within the budget. Thank You James

Susan Wilson was really nice to speak…
Susan Wilson was really nice to speak to very professional and helpful five star
Fabulous cruise
Sarah has always been more than helpful and we loved our Nile cruise so much we will be booking with Egypt escapes through Sarah again
Our trip exceeded all our expectations and met all my disabilities needs
Thank you Sarah
You are a star!
Not the best experience by a long way
This was actually my forth visit to Egypt, a country I enjoy visiting however this holiday will be remembered but not for the best of reasons. The first week in a hotel was lovely though we had no rep to greet us so had to find out what there was to do ourselves. Wasn’t till the third day we found the tour desk where we could book excursions.
The trip from Hegada to Luxor was horrendous. Firstly the driver hadn’t got the proper paperwork to be transporting us across the country so several check points were harrowing as not sure if we were to be allowed to continue the journey. Then we stopped at a road side rest area where we were pestered to buy way over priced shirts. The seller started to get very intimidating when we weren’t interested.
Once we made it to the boat it was clearly in desperate need of a refurb. The cabins were shabby and dirty from the diesel fumes (the engines run day and night) the deck was dirty with a freezing cold plunge pool and the so called “all inclusive “ was governed by a time frame so if you wanted so much as a bottle of water before 11:00am you were charged. The mini bar in the cabin wasn’t topped up at all and when enquiring we were told if you want it replenished you had to pay. I
When the boats moor up they quite often park side by side so you have to walk through another boat or two to get to you own, this really emphasised how shabby ours was when you saw the luxury dome of the others oozed.
I read with interest the comments in the reply that the boats care “authenticity antiquated” I don’t feel that broken and loose washhand basin, a dirty and broken fridge, a bathroom floor that moved when you walked in it due to rot and a tv with a screen so shadowed with age you could see what was on exactly authentic.
Generally a poof experience which I would never repeat and couldn’t recommend.

I had the most amazing holiday of my lifetime
I had the most amazing holiday of my lifetime 7 day Nile cruise beyond outstanding. The boat was outstanding and the staffs attention to detail exceptional . The guided tours were tiring but informative. The tour guide was really knowledgeable. The highlight of the cruise was the temple of Abu Simbel. Simply spectacular and well worth the visit. We then flew to Cairo. The 3 day visit went a bit Pete Tong. The arranged taxi driver dropped us off at the wrong hotel. The concierge organised another driver to take us to the Pyramid Edge Hotel. It cost me £17 and he got lost and needed to use my google maps on my phone to find it. We then checked in. We were given a room with a ‘view’ of the pyramids. It was awful. After unpacking reception rang to say that we had been given the wrong room and would have to move to another. The second room we were given had no window or natural light. Thankfully the door lock didn’t work so we were given a third room. This had a small skylight so some natural light. The room was actually quite nice. Having been up since 4 am to fly up to Cairo we were exhausted and rested. We went upstairs to the rooftop. This was the hotels crowning glory. The views of the pyramids of Giza were magical. However the restaurant was dire. We had one evening meal there. After looking at a varied menu and choosing pizza we were told there was only chicken or beef. We opted for beef. This turned out to be virtually inedible and we left very dissatisfied. Th breakfasts on a morning were dire too. Heated turines with no heat under them. Cold omelette. A selection of salamis and cheese and a few pasties. Simply awful. We went on the guided tour to the pyramids and the old Cairo museum. The tour guide wasn’t as good as our Nile cruise tour guide and just left us to wander after 5 minutes of chat. He was more interested in taking us to bizarres clothing factories perfumeries and papyrus factories. We declined. Skipped lunch and went to the museum. Again very little guide interaction. But the highlight was the sight of the mask of Tutankhamen. So would I go to Cairo again. Absolutely. Would I choose a better hotel. Absolutely. Then onto our final leg of the trip. The Caves Beach Resort. Modelled on the Fred Flintstone village. The room we were given was 6* in my view. Fixtures and fittings were absolute quality. Buffet style dining was excellent with lots of selection. Excellent. The beach area to the resort was really nice and we sunbathed and dipped our toes in the Red Sea. So a perfect ending to the best holiday of my life. Pity we were only there for 4 days. But we will definitely return for a winter sun beach holiday. Overall I would still rate this holiday 5*. The Cairo part was a blip. But I do think that Egypt Escapes should look at their hotel offering in and around Giza. Would I recommend going with them again. Absolutely. My dealings with John the representative was excellent. The booking process was easy and the paperwork side was thorough. Thank you for such an amazing experience Egypt Escaoes

What are you getting? More importantly who is supplying it.
We’ve traveled to Egypt probably 20 times in the past 20 years, we love it. The booking process with Egypt Escapes was OK albeit the advisor was quite pushy but we settled on a Hurghada stay (5 days) with a Nile cruise (7 days) and back to Hurghada for the final 2 days and journey home. So what were the negatives?
On arrival there was little in the way of a welcome….we’re looking for an Egypt Escapes rep of some kind. It turns out the transfer and ‘on site Repping’ has been subcontracted to a company called Sun International, whom weren’t particularly pro active in having any kind of sign or approaching activity. Nevertheless we found a rep and were pointed in the right direction for a minibus to take us to our hotel…AMC Royal & Spa. We know driving in Egypt is always a little bit of a white knuckle ride but this guy took it to new heights, overtaking, undertaking in whichever lane was available while talking on his phone, speeding and seeming unconscious of any accepted rules of driving. On arrival he stopped on the road outside the hotel rather than wait for the gate to be opened to allow access to the hotel entrance. Our suitcases were unloaded onto the pavement and off he went leaving us to push/pull or carry our cases up a steep slope to the hotel entrance.
Enter the hotel staff….. helpful in taking the bags off us and move them 5 yards to a holding area while we booked in at reception.
Again it transpires Egypt Escapes subcontract the accommodation arrangements to a Company call Beds for Ease. No real issue with this but it would be nice to know.
The AMC Royal & Spa looks good, is clean and offers a good selection of food. The staff however were quite robotic, never really engaging eye to eye. We accept English may not be their first language but we also know it is compulsory taught in their schools and this reluctance to engage is something we have never experienced in our 20 years of Egyptian travel. Even ordering drinks at the bar was an impersonal operation with any sense of customer care excluded. All of this is very, very unusual in our experience and so unlike the normal attitude of the Egyptian people.
The couple who accompanied us took a prepaid trip to Cairo two days into our stay, again this was to be dealt with by the Sun International team…. again very poor in communication as to a pick up time which was only confirmed late in the afternoon for a 2am, yes 2am departure.
Unfortunately one of them tripped on the return and very badly injured her shoulder. She was seen by the hotel Doctor who diagnosed overnight rest, strapping to the damaged area and anti inflammatory injection with pain relief. With a second consultation the next morning. At that stage he felt it needed X raying and arranged for a portable machine to be brought to the hotel that afternoon. This was delayed until the evening but we all felt this was excellent treatment.
The results showed a broken humerus and clavicle which the Doctor felt needed surgery and arranged for her to go to hospital. Very strangely he insisted she did not tell the hospital about his treatment or the X Ray that he had arranged.
Meanwhile my wife and I were trying to arrange a extended hotel stay for her husband (remember we were all due to travel to the Nile at 4am the next morning which was obvious they were not going to be able to do)
The hotel reception staff seemed unconcerned will no empathy and kept saying the hotel was full and nothing could be done. I contacted Sun International who said they would speak to the hotel….apparently nothing happened. I couldn’t speak to Beds for Ease as their number just kept ringing out. So I email them.
On arrival at the Nile the next day I received a phone call from Jackie from Beds for Ease who took control ensuring me she would deal with the hotel issue on behalf of our friends and would contact the hotel but also them directly. We breathed a sigh and got on registering ourself on the cruise boat. The MS Commodore, Whoops, we were supposed to have a mid deck, mid boat cabin. As detailed on our paperwork from Egypt Escapes. Instead we got a Bottom deck, rear boat cabin which had been booked by Beds for Ease and surprise, surprise the boat was fully booked and we couldn’t be moved.
The MS Commodore is a nice boat, we’ve travelled on it 2 or 3 times over the years. Now it’s a little tired and little things have taken the sparkle off it. No working TV, cabins not made up for 3 days. However the staff in the restaurant and bar are outstandingly helpful accommodating and friendly and the complete opposite of the staff in the AMC Royal and everything we’ve experienced in the Egyptian people.
On return to the AMC and the same cold welcome. Sun International struck again, with our transport to the airport being 30 minutes late!!
Not sure Egypt Escapes is for us in the future. Who has the Duty of care?

Tailored Travel with a Personal Touch
Reeha Peters was the epitome of professionalism when we recently booked our family holiday through Egypt Escapes. From the outset, she placed our needs at the heart of the planning process, taking the time to truly listen to our preferences, priorities, and budget before suggesting thoughtful, tailored options. Reeha never made assumptions or steered the conversation; instead, she let us do the talking, offering just the right amount of guidance to shape a holiday we’re genuinely excited about. A seamless, stress-free experience from start to finish. Thank you, Reeha and Egypt Escapes, outstanding work!
Last minute booking
We have made last minute booking with Egypt Escapes. Gary Parker was very helpful and able to accommodate all our requests beginning with most suitable dates and airports as well as flights time. Thoroughly described all the aspects of beginning of the trip - hotel, transfers and a tour to Pyramids and GEM, also local flight to join cruise in Luxor. All details discussed about the Nile Cruise - ship, crew, tips, excursions and transfers. We were advised nice hotel to stay on Red Sea to complete our Egypt trip. Gary managed to offer couple of discounts on booking.
We are very happy at the moment with all booking process which went smoothly and looking forward to our trip.
It was very touching when Gary called next day and asked if we have any queries about booking and trip.
Thank you very much for wonderful service.
NILE CRUISE, BRACKETED BY CAIRO & LUXOR HOTELS
When booking in January, Adrian Evans was extremely helpful and was able to meet our requests, in particular the hotels in Cairo and Luxor. On arrival in September, all the arrangements worked perfectly. Each of the five transfers was exactly as promised with neither fuss nor delays. The Steigenberger Pyramids hotel was as we remembered and highly recommended and the MS Royal Viking is the best of the ships with which we have cruised. Finally, 4 days in Luxor at the Pavillon Winter Palace is an excellent way to wind down after the week's excursions during our trip to Aswan and back. The itinerary was extremely well managed and we were efficiently guided, with a few personal touches added as extras.
All in all, Egypt Escapes thoroughly deserve a 5 Star rating - thank you all for a memorable trip.
We have Booked our next Year Holiday…
We have Booked our next Year Holiday with Egypt Escapes, Reeha our Booking Agent was very helpful, sending Emails explaining each Question that was asked. Everything sent to my Email, if I need any other information I have to let her know. Very easy to Book with them .
This company needs to look hard at itself
After our initial enquiry a week ago re.:Delights of Egypt , Nile Cruise & Red Sea Stay, I read the website description of the tour, and noticed that Egypt Escapes, who describe themselves as 'experts', incorrectly spelt "Collossi" ( for Colossi)( of Memnon), and captioned a photo of the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut as " The Valley of the Kings".These errors I reported to EE.These errors were still on their website on 4.10.25.Errors raise, in my mind 'alerts'. Querying possibilities of visiting sites, I was advised there is a charge of £290 per person; ticketed entries to the sites come to about £40 per person. It was explained that 'transfers, and attendance of a "qualified Egyptologist' accounted for the £250 pp. difference. So, in the immortal words of Arthur Daley, with a group, it must be " a nice little earner" for Egypt Escapes. Then, I was counselled to book at once, lest the price rise. My enquiry was in place for about a week, and, I have no inclination to be given ''the bum's hustle", and, took instructions/ consulted with my wife, whose remark was " Three strikes, and they are out- let us find a company who knows that which they are doing".
Today, a rep called from Egypt Escapes to ''sign us up''. I advised that we were not going to use them, and started to explain why. This, however, was not of interest, ( ie no desire of improving the curious ethos EE has in place), and their representative merely hung up.
As von Clausewitz wrote - " time spent in reconnaissance is never wasted".

Great experience
This is the first time I booked my holiday with this Egypt Escapes. The holiday advisor who booked my holiday (Sarah Peter) was not only very helpful and professional but she was so patient as well, if I asked something 10 times she explained me. I made few changes but she didn’t get frustrated at all, even her voice tone was still polite and soft. Thank you very much Sarah for your help and making things easy for me. I hope we all will enjoy it and it will be exact the same as it was described. All the best.

I had great advice and help from their sales person, Serah Peters, who was very patient and understanding of the complicated booking.
Serah Peters from Egypt Escapes…
Serah Peters from Egypt Escapes couldn't have been more helpful. As a first time visitor to Egypt , she helped me navigate the many options and after many telephone conversations and itineries/quotes. She organised the trip that suited us most . I would not hesitate to recommend her for a trip to Egypt .
We had our Cairo + Luxor/Aswan Nile…
We had our Cairo + Luxor/Aswan Nile River Cruise booked with Egypt Escapes.
Our experience was mixed. We still enjoyed the cruise ship, as the staff were absolutely lovely. Even though we were meant to sail with MS Royal Viking, we were changed to Iberotel Crown Empress at the last minute
However, we experienced some issues with the outsider private taxi they have booked for us. Since it was a company not tied with EE, they were not very helpful bridging the issues we have raised to them. It was disappointing as we thought we were 100% covered as everything is booked in one company.
Another shocking experience was when you thought you’ve already paid for the trip only to find out you have to pay extra fees (plural, mind) in the form of tips. We’re not complaining about giving tips, of course if the person/people deserve it, we will be happy and generously give it. It’s just annoying that every time you move, you have to give money and not just as a group but individually (example EGP 200 each guess for your shuttle driver which btw you have already paid that trip prior). Additionally, the tour guide has requested a SPECIFIC amount as a tip for himself, separate from the tip we will give to the cruise staff. $20 each guest. So $20 each guest for the cruise ship and $20 each guest for himself. Lovely, isn’t it? Again, we always tip. But giving a specific amount doesn’t sit right with me. Especially with the experience we had.
So for future guests, make sure you request your taxi not to be booked with “Al Ragaa Tour”. They are thieves. They will exploit money from you. And Egypt Escape won’t even coordinate properly with them.
